- Our Transfer at the WORLD`S BIGGEST AIRPORT! This is the New Istanbul Airport,
Istanbul Havalimanı , in Istanbul, Turkey. In this airport information video we show you what it is like to spend time at Istanbul Airport as a passenger waiting for a flight which could be a Turkish Airlines flight. (This was probably the longest Transfer Walk we have ever made at any airport - we were Transferring between Turkish Airlines flights).
In this video we have just arrived on a Turkish Airlines flight from Copenhagen and now have an 8 hour wait until our next Turkish Airlines flight which will fly us to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. In this video we show you what it is like in the Departures Area of the World´s Biggest Airport (there is some debate online as to whether this is the biggest airport or whether it is a new airport in China that is the World´s Biggest Airport - for arguments sake let´s just say both are the World´s Biggest Airport, and anyway the New Istanbul Airport is HUGE and we enjoyed spending some time there!) The Istanbul Airport Departure Hall is, as we already mentioned HUGE! We take you on a walk through the Departure Hall from one end to the other! On the way you will see what Duty Free Shops / Tax Free Shops are available to shop from within this area. Luxury Duty Free Shops include, Jewelry Shops, Fashion Shops (both Men´s Fashions and Women´s Fashion), Shoe Shops and Electronics Shops. In between all these shops are many Bars, Cafe´s and Restaurants. There is also an Airport Food Court Area which did not appear to be fully functional yet. We very much enjoyed the Restaurant Eating Area which was beautifully laid out in a Turkish Style. The only complaint at Istanbul Airport was the fact that we found the Airport Restaurants to be a little expensive and we could not find any cheap "7 Eleven" style Kiosks where we could by snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. Other than that the New Istanbul Airport in Istanbul, Turkey gave us a good experience while we were waiting for the Gate to open for our Turkish Airlines Flight. The New Istanbul Airport Code is: IST
Wiki writes about the New Istanbul International Airport, "Istanbul Airport (IATA: IST, ICAO: LTFM) (Turkish: İstanbul Havalimanı) is the main international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the Arnavutköy district on the European side of the city. All scheduled commercial passenger flights were transferred from Istanbul Atatürk Airport to Istanbul Airport on April 6, 2019, following the closure of Istanbul Atatürk Airport for scheduled passenger flights. The IATA airport code IST was also transferred to the new airport Once all phases are completed in 2025, the airport will be able to accommodate 200 million passengers a year.

First time I had 3 hour lay over, I enjoyed the Airport, and Anatolian cuisine section, second time I had less than 1 hour coming back ,I contacted the Ground operations they have driven me from one gate to other with Electric Golf cart, with in 13 min, i was in the second gate,
I highly recommend either to make sure you have 2 hours between fights if you want to enjoy this masterpiece Airport or to ask for transport as this airport is huge, biggest one I have ever seen

It is like a luxury shopping mall with fashion brands & huge food court & Restaurants.

Definitely looks more like a shopping mall than an airport, haha. I could actually fly there directly now - Turkish operates between IST and RVN three times a week! :D Thumbs up for another great airport review!

I love the airport I didn’t know it was so huge I be visiting Turkey next year 2021 not 2020 because we going to United Kingdom And Portugal and in 2019 we went in end of July into Early Mid August to France Germany And Poland

Would definitely like to go through there some day, but TK flights from South Africa are much more expensive than the likes of Qatar/Emirates or even direct into Europe.

It's a very lovely massive airport. I was there in June 2019 and had long stopover to and fro my trip to Egypt. I noticed that development keeps going on within the airport. I wish to travel via the airport again soon.

,First time I had 3 hour lay over, I enjoyed the Airport, and Anatolian cuisine section, second time I had less than 1 hour coming back ,I contacted the Ground operations they have driven me from one gate to other with Electric Golf cart, with in 13 min, i was in the second gate,
I highly recommend either to make sure you have 2 hours between fights if you want to enjoy this masterpiece Airport or to ask for transport as this airport is huge, biggest one I have ever seen

I like airports with many windows and clear views at the tarmac like HKG which is the best airport I've been to.

VanzeElli The Earthquake is in a City called ELAZIG the Eastern part of Turkey it’s like 17 hours away by car so it’s nowhere near Istanbul so they are ok.

Not a patch on changi in Singapore, as you rightly pointed out. New Istanbul airport is not built on a human scale, it's just too big. And way too expensive, both to get to, and to shop and eat at. Changi, although it can also be expensive, always makes sure to provide affordable alternatives.
Changi is an amazing airport and we agree with your comments, there are alternatives for all budgets at Changi. We also found Istanbul Airport to be rather expensive! Thanks for watching and for sharing your opinion.

I wanted to buy an Apple Watch and an iPhone and they weren't available at the airport. How can this be possible? such a big airport and doesn't sell apple
What’s so great about it, we have to pay for trolley …there’s no internet…no Wi-Fi. It’s not a friendly airport. Airport staff don’t speak English. Horrible experience. What KIND OF AIRPORT DONT PROVIDE THE FREE WI-FI.
This is your problem.
They have Free internet, except you have to sign up for it at the little kiosks around the airport and they also need your passport number, so they make it complicated. I was there for 6 hours and skipped signing up for it, really didn't feel like giving them my information for one hour of internet. And you are right, a lot of the airport staff don't speak English and all of the food there is expensive.
I always prefer ATATURK AIRPORT 😪. Good but not as a Ataturk Airport.
