Er, while the prediction was spot on, and I applaud that, still don't really get why absorbing the energy from Godzilla's breath would be any more effective than if Godzilla just blasted the back of Mechagodzilla's head directly to begin with. Like why would a scale from godzilla be able to hold and make more energy than the source of the energy himself.

If you slow down the play back speed from 8:44 seconds and pause at the scene where Kong is standing on the glowing Godzilla skeleton you can actually see multiple battle axe. If you watch it in more quality it seems awesome.
