This is first review of the Trek Allant+ 7s e-bike. This is a consumer's view, not a Trek marketing piece and not a Trek "influencer." #Trek #Allant 7 #e-bike
Sorry for the delay. We've been warming up in Pam Springs CA ... to which I took my Trek carbon bile (not the e-bike). I will be back in my chilly wet home area of Oregon in March ... after which I expect to provide an update on the Allant. I put about 160 miles on the Allant in January before escaping to SoCal and in that time the Allant continued to be a joy to ride. I'll post more - check back in the latter half of March. Thanx for viewing and taking the time to comment.
Hi , I have the same bike but low step model for a year now. My dealer recommended me the low step model which is a lot more easy to ride. I bought also a suspension for the seat. A big difference in comfort. The large tires are great on gravel paths. Enjoy your bike you will enjoy it as your first bike 60 years ago 😉😀👍
I've thought about a suspension seat ... but, so far the stock setup has been ok. Longest single ride, so far, has been 35 miles (about 2.5 hours). But (if you pardon the expression), I am used to very hard seats on my Trek Domane carbon bike. Anyway, your comment on the seat got my attention - I may check out the options. Thanx!
Hi Ed, thanks for the video. I think the trek Domane+ may have been better choice for you, if your a road rider. But not sure if you can get a rear rack. 2 months in, how is the bike? Cheers
For an review update (I had 350 miles on the bike when I posted the video), see: czcams.com/video/gwiYnSvmlrM/video.html I considered the Domane+. But, I have a no-e-bike, a Domane 5.2, for truly road rides. With fenders, a rack and built-in lighting system, thought the Allant+ was better suited to handle the urban tasks of shopping, etc. The wider/softer tires on the Allant+ also enable it to easily navigate on gravel, dirt, forest trails and grass. Ride on!
Nice video cheers. I wonder if its a good climbing bike. I have a new Trek duel sport e which i love but its a lot smaller power wise than the allant. I like the allant front suspension too. A suspension seat post might be good. Thanks again.
Good morning. I have been riding bicycles - long distance touring and commuting - for five decades. So, I am used to riding. But, at 75 the hills have been feeling a little steeper - so trying out the e-bike. Be well.
Thanks and look forward to your next post!

You may feel tired the first time you ride a bike
