Curtis Family Farm History

This was Paul Curtis' home growing up. It was built by his grandfather, George Curtis. When George got too old to farm, he moved into Champaign and gave the home to his only son, Eugene, so that he could raise his family in a home with running water.

The house burned down around 1954 due to a heating oil fire.
An old wooden trunk belonging to his uncle Zina was one of the few items rescued from the fire. I still have that trunk today. My cousin, Cathy Beard, owns a dresser from that house as well.
