DUDE YOU ARE A LEGEND. GLAD TO SEE OTHER KI MASTERS OUT THERE, ECSTATIC THAT YOU'RE EVEN BETTER AND MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE THAN ME.
Thank you your tutorials taught me KI2 for a tournament and now I love that game
Would you consider KI 2013 videos?
That's AWESOME!! Yeah, these games are so much more fun when you understand what you're doing, for sure! Glad these videos helped out!
@@alvisedgeworth4859 Videos? Sure. Tutorials? nah. IF I knew that game the same way, yeah. But I pretty much just played SEASON 1. Once season 2 dropped, the game was changing so much that I basically just sat back and waited for them to finish because I hate finding cool stuff and seeing it changed. So once Season 3 finished, I picked up an XboxOneS and installed all the updates but honestly just never got back into it like I had. GREAT GAME for sure, but I wasn't dedicated to it like I was with the old stuff. And I didn't have the same carefree-freetime as I did when KI was new. Plus, the in-game Tutorials and Move Lists explain a lot about the game. But yeah, I have TWO XboxOnes, because I have SEASON 1 on my original Day One Edition and Season 3 on the X1S.
@@GlaciusXL Thank you for responding. Would you also consider doing tutorials on other games that seemingly have no resources online? You’re literally the only one to make a detailed guide on KI2 despite how popular the name is. I think the way you handle the structure of the videos is done very well too. I would love to see tutorials for other games too.
@@alvisedgeworth4859 Well thanks for the compliment. I just wanted these videos to be more like it's just YOU and ME sitting down talking in realtime than a really polished and rehearsed formal presentation. It's how I prefer to learn and I can't stay on a script anyway with things I'm passionate about.
As for other games, sure thing. The MORTAL KOMBAT arcade games would be a gimme. I played those as much as KI. It's just people didn't know KI most of the time. I've got a lot of games. Actual physical copies. I might show some of those too. Boxes and Manuals and things. I've got Old Gaming Magazines and gaming stories I could tell. And it's not JUST fighting games. I've got quite a bit of stuff to share.
These tutorials were driven by requests, so if you have a game in mind, let me know and I'll consider it. Thanks.
Appreciate you man! Wish I would've found this earlier
thank you for making all of these tutorial videos. they have been absolutely awesome for teaching me about the intricacies of this game and I really like the format that you use. It's wild that you do all of this with two controllers and one set of hands.
😅 That game of PONG was getting intense! For sure, I'm glad these have been helpful! There will undoubtedly be more stuff to learn and figure out. I didn't cover EVERYTHING, but my hope was that it would teach more than a printed Move List. Especially when it comes to the AUTOS. Thanks for sticking around for these, I know I wasn't very punctual with them.
@@GlaciusXL hey you were punctual enough, my friend!
Awesome .
8 HIT COMBO!
I'd really love a video dedicated to getting killer combos and ultra combos. I've gotten good at some awesome combos, master combos and such but any time I've gotten a killer or ultra I really don't know what I was doing differently to achieve it. In your basics video I saw you do a demo of killer combos and even still I've only gotten a couple. Like 9 times out of 10 I'll get close and then the other guy falls on his ass. Like what am I doing wrong!
Amazing series from what I've seen. I've loved this game since I was kid and always wanted to know how to more than just button mash. And this is far from the first time I've watched videos trying to get a good grasp of it. You're just really simple in your explanations and that controller helps too.
Thanks for the comment! I could do that if I remember. Who do you mostly play as? Most times you can only do one linker. And some combo paths cause them to fall over during the auto. I'll try to remember to make a video for you demoing a few KILLER COMBO options for everyone. Remind me if you don't see a video in a couple weeks. I'll try to make something this week.
Hey man, I recorded a video demoing 1 sample KILLER COMBO with all 10 characters. Just have to make the graphics and whatnot, but be on the look out for it. Should be uploaded tomorrow. Wednesday at the latest if something else comes up.
Una genialidad de video, gracias
While playing online I would always see the cyber dash super fast into the upper cut . Never knew the hold button release activated that. Been practicing it now. Also the ultra juggle . Thanks GXL . Always the best tutorials for sure .
Thanks a lot my friend!
Good shit men, thanks!
another great tutorial! fulgore is so much fun
Thanks a lot my friend! See anything I missed? I'm always up for learning things I didn't mention.
@@GlaciusXL nah, looks good to me. you've covered all the basics. good stuff 👍
Studying....let's hope I can actually pull off a respectable Fulgore combo now haha.
Awesome! Thanks for checking out the video. Sorry it doesn't cover everything but it's hopefully helpful. I would suggest avoiding his FK auto in PvP since it's the most obvious button. Probably want to start most combos with FP into FK dash into ender or jump attack and skip the Linker.
The instant special out of teleport is really handy.
That Dash into QP DragonPunch conversion is a great one.
Double or Triple shot to pressure opponents on wakeup so they have to stand up into it and take chip damage. Watch out for characters like TJ, Orchid or Sabrewulf who can go under it after blocking the first one. So sometimes the Double shot is better for them.
ALSO, Fulgore obviously doesn't have a low opener like TJ, Orchid, and Sabrewulf BUT... you can special cancel crouching MK into EyeLaser and it combos as long as you're fast with it. So something like: cr.MK, Eyelaser, press and hold FP (manual), DragonPunch release FP. Very fast combo, 7 Hits and ~40% damage. If it says 6Hits it wasn't quick enough and the cr.MK wasn't part of the combo. Mix that up with doing B+FP overhead into the Dash to start a combo OR, what I never talked about in the tutorials (other than my BASIC TUTORIAL video) is that the Overhead itself is an Opener. Fulgores autos after B+FP Overhead are MK or QK. The QK will really throw people off because it's not an AUTO from any of his regular openers, so it's a very unfamiliar looking auto. Hope that helps. Make me proud!
Awww yeah thank you sir!
For sure! Hope it was worth the wait. Thanks for handing around for it!
Gooood
FINALLY CAN YOU DO A VIDEO JUST DEMONSTRATING THE CHARACTERS STANCES AND CROUCHING ANIMATIONS?
Awesome video! I don't understand how the system decides if your eyelaser is gonna spark after you have launched the enemy in the air. I'm trying to figure out how it works, it seems to be random so far.
I just do it in the Arcade version not SNES. But as long as it's after the ULTRA or the (b,f MK) or (b,d,db QP) enders, it works every time for me. I do it right away and usually always hold DB when I do the eyelaser. I've heard some people can't get the regular eyelaser LINKER to work without knocking the opponent down, but it's because they rotate all the way back instead of stopping at DOWN-BACK.
@@GlaciusXL Wait...so you're telling me that the weird ghost spark eyelaser works 100% of the time if I stop the motion at Down Back? KI is such a weird game haha! Because seriously right now on my end, it seems completely random. Sometimes I see a spark, sometimes there is no spark at all. I noticed you can get the spark during the fight as well, not just after an ultra. I'm experimenting to see what kind of combos are possible with that reset but i can't get the ender to properly work. I saw a lot of killer combo videos that are always on thunder's bridge level...which if that's the case then it's not that interesting to me, I prefer a combo reset that i would be able to pull off on any stage. Anyhow, I will go try your trick asap to see how it goes.
I very rarely if ever get the eye laser linker with the air launch where it sparks - any suggestions?
So, if you do either the B,F MK or B,D,DB QP enders, as soon as you are back on the ground, you can do the Eye Laser DF,D,DB FK and it will explode into sparks. Now, the thing is, in order for you to do another ender before the opponent lands, you have to be close horizontally. At the end of the video when you see me doing this with the ultra, the reason it works is because I have enough time to DASH forward. Me being closer to the airborne opponent allows the 2nd ender to come out. Hopefully that helps.
Donde se puede descargar esa version del juego que usas .
Es grandiosa me gustaría practicar combos.
Unfortunately it can't be bought as a stand alone game. It's part of the DLC for Killer Instinct 2013 on Xbox One.
I am struggling with the eye laser linker, 95% of the time the opponent falls when I do it. I have no idea why this happens. I am playing on 1.5D. When I try to do it on 1.4 it is just difficult to even have it happen. Any suggestions? P.S. playing on the Arcade1up pro version with Suzo Happ tournament sticks.
Be sure to hold DOWN-BACK when you do it. If you keep rotating to BACK, it wants to knock them down. So, just be very deliberate with it and end firmly at diagonal DOWN-BACK and you should be good to go. It's not a ROTATE BACK move like a hurricane kick. That's usually the problem people have. Hope that fixes it.
HEY BUD COULD I BOTHER YOU TO DO A FIREBALL CLASH VIDEO FOR THIS KI? ALSO A FULL SCREEN WINDKICK ON THUNDERS BRIDGE SIDE STEPPING FULGORES FIREBALLS? SO THE CAMERA CAN ZOOM IN ON JAGO KICKING HIM IN THE FACE? I'M BEGGING YOU BEEN TRYING TO FIND SOMEBODY GOOD ENOUGH AT KI TO PULL IT OFF. I WOULD DO IT MYSELF BUT I HAVE NO ACCESS TO AN ARCADE KI MACHINE. ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME. LIKE 20 YEARS OF WANTING IT IMPORTANCE.
I made you a video and even spiced it up a bit with some extra Projectile Avoidance situations. Link below.

What 6 button stick is that? I can’t find any setups that the button aren’t curved
It's a prototype I built from a left over shelving board. I have the blueprints I made somewhere if you're interested. It's just the spacing from the original KI arcade. All the buttons are 1-5/8" apart. Joystick to first button is 3-1/4". Inside is a Brooks Universal PCB I got from FocusAttack years ago. It works with PS3/PS4/Xbox360/XboxOne/PC. Unfortunately, those kinds of PCB's are really expensive now. I think it was like $50 or so back then. Now, they're over $100 I think. But if you only needed it for one console, you could repurpose a generic controller. Anyway, probably a longer answer than you expected.
So that’s why I can’t find it. Thinking about building one myself. Now I can at least stop googling
Do you play the snes version?
I do, but not nearly as much. I do enjoy revisiting the SNES and GameBoy versions from time to time but it's the arcade (or it's emulation) 99% of the time.
@@GlaciusXL I see. I was wondering which version has more glitches and interesting mecanics, like the ghost enders on the snes version. By the way, this channel youtube.com/@1STARSEX has good compilations of snes fights and some tutorials (in spanish though).
P.S. I messed up the link th first time
He has 2 different air doubles. Jump FK then hcf mp
What does the attack look like? I try it out but don't get anything. I can only pull off a Dragon Punch after an air-to-air. Half Circle Forward isn't doing anything for me.
I did it a bunch on my 1 up which is version 1.5d I want to say. But it's a spinning uppercut like his ender in the reverse dragon uppercut with QP. It Def works I just did it. You have to do it soon as you hit FK
Also did you know the ultra combo extra ender after eye laser you can time it right and do a B-F MK? Soon as the opponent is just about to hit the ground you hit him and do the combo ender then you can juggle again. Very hard to do.
@@Grasshopper-KI Yeah, I know it's possible but I think I've caught it once in my life.
@@Grasshopper-KI So, it looks like the other AirDouble? Is it a different attack or is it a result of pressing forward during the jump then the rotation counts as a DP motion?
