Hello Peter, I want to talk about an other topic. Two weeks ago I stumbled on a girl band from Mexico, named the WARNING. And the youngest girl plays the bass guitar , just like this little girl doing. First seen in 2013 same size as her. But how I experienced music from all over the world, The Japanese started girl bands, and they are pretty good on drums. But they are not my taste, bass playing? Yes finally, don’t have to look for real talents. Just look at her, enjoying playing, and even smiling but I bet that guitar is taller than her. What a pleasure to watch it!

I don't think she is playing by written music. I believe, like most bassists, she plays by ear. Her fingers know where to go. Her feet keep time and what she hears lives in her head.

She was born to it, with 24 hour inspiration. Most children find their inspiration outside of their homes, usually once in school and around other children. Ellen started at birth practically. She seems also to be surrounded by love and happiness. It's infectious.

When my daughter was 12 and playing the sax in the school jazz band, she said she had trouble with time signature.
I found the problem. All the students were holding their instruments as if in a row of statues.
I asked her if the instructor would let them move.
"Move?" she said...
Yeah, move to the groove. I showed her how I play guitar when playing with band mates.
You gotta move...
Next time at school concert, she was rocking her knees and swaying the hips and that girl was TIGHT with the rythym. She was the show that day and got through her solo with absolute SASS.
Ellen has the sass too. Its in her giggle.
