That was me with "Solid as the Rock of Juno" from III, which was my first exposure to this series. Because it's on the Switch and the previous ones aren't
I spammed S craft because i was like "hey this shit is glowing, let me try this" and holy shit that was their peak performance, a taste of endgame power.
Barely beat the 2 archaism “boss” fight at the end of the tutorial because I didn’t know what I was doing. Luckily I figured out what S-Crafts were and managed to squeeze my way to victory.

Easily my favorite track in Cold Steel I. This practically defined the entire game for me.
Yeah, that's probably why they brought it back in IV, because the original was the starting point for some people and thus, the music sounded nostalgic in a sense

Another masterpiece by Momiyama, the composition is outstanding and the arrangement is impeccable. The orchestra combined with the intense percussion is spectacular.
Hearing the rearranged version of this in Cold Steel IV was so damn awesome.
Definitely one of Kiseki's defining tracks, alongside Whereabouts of Light, Silver Will, Get Over the Barrier and Decisive Collision.

Maybe one of the best musics of the game. And it's one of the most representatives of the game (for me). This is just like Trails in the Sky SC. You hear Fate of the Fairies during the first boss fight and you know that the journey will be epic, and in Trails of Cold Steel you hear this and the same happens.
I think the iconic song in the the sky series is Silver Will...

I´m playing trails of cold steel and in chapter 3 now, the game is fantastic, has an incredible narrative, battle themes are fantastic , relationships between the characters are very emotional and battle system is really good.

Ah, chapter 3... when the game went form being "good" to "uterly epic" The ONLY thing I didn't like about chaoter 3 is the team you have. My favourite team is Rean/Laura/Machias/Elliot, but sadly, the onther 3 are all absent from your team. At least Emma and, for the last portion the chapter, Millium are there, those two are the ones I usually bring along as backup members.

I have beaten Cold steel 1 like 3 times, never went past the 30-40% mark of Cold Steel 2, and recently started Cold Steel 3 on Switch due to me going on a trip and having a need to play some Cold Steel... but didn't want to bring my Vita.
Cold steel 1 is so far my favourite (also happens to be my favourite game of all times) But cold Steel 3 is catching up pretty quickly, and I'm only midway through chapter 1.

The victory quotes hit a bit harder to this theme my favorite being Laura's evil shall fall before my blade.
After the fourth game I can claim without any doubt that this is the best OST in the whole Cold Steel saga. Still gives me the goosebumps as the first time.
I remember first starting this a month ago, I loved it immediately. Beautiful soundtrack, beautiful characters and story, beautiful game. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time now.

Hands down the best looking S-craft in CS1.
I remember this part of the game made me think of FF type 0 instantly and I loved the comradery and the idea of military students in that game but this one took it to another level. What a journey it was.
Sara-sensei is really the best, the most powerful theme is then she is in the team ^^

This is the most awesome game series ever! I'm still playing the 3rd game. And it's radical! The graphics are awesome, the battle mechanics are superb, and overall the game is just the best!
First discovered the trails series last year with Cold Steel and it instantly became my favourite series of all time, now i'm currently caught up on everything including crossbell and sky and waiting for CS4 in the fall

Don't know why, but for me this theme makes me feel the most nostalgic out of all the trails soundtracks, even though Trails in the Sky was what got me into the series in the first place.

Don't let the graphic fidelity fool you in thinking it's bad, in the contrary is really good in terms of story, gameplay and OST.
When I first played this Game, I learned how to change leaders right away, & went through the whole Dungeon as Instructor Sara, & I realized, this Theme really goes with her running animation--With no weapons in hand. 😊😄😄

JDK band released the super arranged version of this song years ago.. Falcon just decided to use it for Sen IV.

When it comes to creating a scene perfectly, Falcom is the best.

Man, now I can't wait to play Zero/Ao even more! Falcom is the best when it comes to creating a scene, so I have no doubt that it must be pretty amazing. I've heard incredible things about the Crossbell games.

When your Team visits Heimdallr for the Field Study, and the Terrorist Attack begins with this theme, I got goosebumbs all over me. Especially because this scene demonstrates how much your Group has grown and merged together. They started as "I can't accept him/her!" "I HATE him/her!" "We will never be friends, so leave me alone!" and everyone just leaving the Classroom without talking. In this scene, they appear like a Team of Super Heroes or some kind of Elite Troop. Everyone trusts each other 100% and they fight together as Team.
Superb character development in my opinion. And thats after like 60% into the game, so there is much more room for them to develop as characters.
absolutely true, right now I´m in the last chapter and it has been amazing, seriously the character development and attachement between the characters is the best I´ve seen in an JRPG and I´ve played a lot, I care about all of them and that makes the battles even more exciting, have had some difficult battle and have died many times, especially in chapter 5 and 6, Can´t wait to see what happens at the end, my main team is Rean of course, Laura, Alisa and Emma, they are gorgeous and very powerful! so many secrets, so many questions unanswered, the game is just growing more and more . I´ve already ordered trails of cold steel 2 to continue the adventure.... the only thing that I didn´t like are the amount of missable trophies, I play on ps4.. : ( , but other than that the game is superb.

Except the time span was much longer with Class VII.
I was having goosebump at that scene was simply because the bad guy simply decide to take Rean imouto away. No one simply hurt and kidnap his imouto on his watch and get away with it. NO ONE.

I manage to find this game for the vita recently. I had my expectations low because I thought trails from zero had kickass music. Am I glad I was wrong.
