then you need to actually do research lol both car models have been used in various car sports. the civic has mainly been used in drag and time attack, and the tc has been in time attack and drift as you said.
They aren't bad for what they are. Which is a Corolla with some nice extras. If you want to make them fast, save your money and go right to a motor swap.
@@someperson7 I don't know about swapping the motor N/A that 2ar-fe has already put down 270whp and that's just with cams, valve springs, a velocity stack intake (and obviously a standalone to properly tune it) obviously you can get a bit more from that still; but it is in my opinion an under appreciated motor for sure.

It would be best to launch low and then just floor it. Civics have no balls, so you won't spin as much like that, and you should have more use of 1st gear. Trust me, I know. I've tried multiple launch techniques at the track, and the best times I received was very low RPM launches and concentrating on perfect shifts.
Tc will lose due to traction issues threw 3rd gear way to much low end torque automatics I have no idea. But at least buying a Tc u dnt have to worry bout the engine being raced out lol
