The thing is, Kendrick’s comments about drakes race isn’t even really about him literally being mixed. Like you said it’s about his identity. Drake gives the perception he does bc he’s not authentic, he’s always stayed relevant bc he’s a chameleon and adopts other peoples culture in a way that just doesn’t come across authentic. It’s meant in an appreciative and harmonious way but the way Drake comes across is like a beg, unfortunately 🤣 I think that ties into the fact that maybe he hasn’t always felt welcomed and like he fits in. But there’s plenty of mixed people who of course have had a similar experience but they don’t project that inauthentic vibe that Drake gives because they know themselves and are comfortable and confident in who they are.
