The person who did the editing deserves an award!
When you’re handed engaging best of the best footage it’s really not hard to present an engaging video…. Editing a clip that has no story, no sequence, no audio to clip together, every bit of footage is close to the same video format, same resolution, same colour saturation, same audio source and same iso, and potentially same FPS… …. so much good content you don’t even need to find B roll to fill the gaps…. Minor post colour correction.
I could hand this to my 8 year old and tell her to clip together the most interesting parts from hundreds of videos. Your appreciation for good editing is skewed if you think this deserves an award. Just saying.

@@max_rove I’m sorry. My wife ran a videography business. I’ve spent a lot more time around videos than the average joe. I’ve also spent plenty of time behind cameras.
Anyone who has a clue, and anyone who’s worked with video knows the difference between being HANDED premium content and shit B roll.

Editing video without even needing to consider audio is even easier by several orders of magnitude.
The OP thinks the person doing the editing is “deserving of an award”. My wife could make this in an afternoon. It’s quite simply NOT special. The people capturing the insane content deserve an award.

Since I was disappointed in Gopro 12's ad video only being technical unlike the old inspiring ones, this video just caught up with the inspiration I was expecting. Amazing recap 🔥

EPIC!!! seriously crazy sick edit... that transition at 1:58 was just perfect! Love my GoPro!
What transition? It’s literally just 2 clips with no transitions, it cuts from one to the other instantly. It looks good because of the people who filmed it
@@YHK_YT Obviously is the transition to that timestamp. Where the kayak hits the water. 1:55 is a good starting point to experience the transition.
@@Tommy-ev6gv they just cut the clip, that’s all, not even any fading or wiping or anything, it’s the people who filmed it that got the timing right, all GoPro did was just cut it, I agree it looks good, and that’s because the people who filmed it did a good job, the person who edited just cut 2 clips together with nothing in between, that’s like 3-5 seconds of work. It could have been a smoother transition had he applied an effect then that would’ve been nice b it the entire video is just clips cut and stacked together so I don’t understand what they mean by “seriously crazy sick edit”
