The standing/kneeling thing is so true. For my wedding I made sure to position my Catholic friends at the end of the pew so that the nons could follow their lead. It was still hilarious.

This is absolutely brilliant. I felt the exact same way when I visited a Catholic Church. I’ve been to several Pentecostal Services & MANY Southern Baptist Services whilst living in the South for Military Service. For a Lutheran? I felt, oh, slightly out of place! Once I relaxed 🤷🏼♀️ I thought, “Why not?” We Lutherans sit so bloody long we get blood clots.
I’m thrilled I watched it and, yay, I was the 1000th “like”.
Very funny guy. I look forward to seeing him a lot more.
ᔕIᔕᑌ GIᖇᒪ We don't sit much in my Lutheran Church. Maybe it's because we are LCMS. The Pastor says "please rise for the ..... (Nunc Dimitis, Canticle, Confession & Absolution, etc) every five minutes. My 62 year old knees hurt the next day!
I went to a Baptist church that didn't have a band but we kept the beat. I am so mad at the audience for not giving him a beat lmaoooooooo

I had a friend growing up that described her church as "Bapticostal". There was dancing, hugging and (optional) speaking in tongues. Never wanted more to go to church with one of my friends as much as I did her. We didn't even get percussion at my services.

It was really bad in the 60s and 70s, probably before that, too. I never understand how some people could fall asleep, what with all the aerobic exercise.
As a Protestant, my first Catholic service was attending a funeral for a child :( I told my Mother that we should sit at the back so we could follow all the kneeling/sitting/standing cues (wasn't sure how much Latin was going to figure in at this particular church). It was more exercise than I ever got at a Methodist service for sure.
My husband was Catholic when his kids were small - he said there was the added element of checking for small kids crawling under pews before dropping the kneeler. 😶

I'm a Pentecostal former fitness instructor with Parkinson's and some catholic friends. I agree with what he said. Ironically when the come to my Pentecostal church they getting a workout included in the package ( beat counter included).

My twisted sense of humor backfired at a friend's church. I came along and sitting down on a hard bench for a full mass started to hurt. When I started to unintentionally fidget, my friend asked if I was OK, I blurted out - "my PEWbic bone's sore". He cracked up loud enough that a little Italian grandma glared at us. We were mid-40's. 🤦♀️

Wanna come to testimony meeting at my evangelical one. Same people say the same thing every darn week. Caught my young cousins In The back pew moving their lips in mockery. Whispered to them - "Stop it or Pastor Bill will drag You down front to the altar rail!" And he Would do it, seen it happen before!

His description of Catholic Mass is true! I've been practicing my whole life, so it's no big deal to me, but I've had friends tell me about going to a wedding or funeral in a Catholic Church and how they found all the stand-sit-kneel stuff exhausting. I just always tell them, "you should see me after Holy Week. Between Stations of The Cross and Service, I've felt better after marathons than I do after Good Friday. Easter is, 'Yay! The Lord is Risen, and now we can go back to our normal stand-sit-kneel stuff!"

My mom is the worst ex-Catholic. She's allergic to the incense and starts coughing and sneezing like the antichrist. She forgets to put the prayer bench back up, trips over it and curses. She won't go down there but once anyway then just sits the rest of the time mumbling "god is in my heart"
