- Our 7x12 cargo trailer to camper conversion is a unique take on the mobile life. With Modern styling, functional storage and a healthy dose of stealth this trailer has just about everything we need. We use this as a both a travel trailer and a camper trailer. It could even function as a tiny home.
If enough people subscribe, like and follow the page I will do a whole series of details videos about the different parts of the conversion. I hope you enjoy the tour as much as we have enjoyed the process of planning, building and using it.

1. most of the product questions can be answered with the links in the description. Please use them because they help support my efforts. If you don't see something then for sure ask I will add it.
2. The trailer is 7x12 with a v-nose
3. I did not put a shower in because we either camp for a few days where we can find water near by to go swimming for a while, or we stay in campgrounds that have showers and would rather use those. We consider it and I do plan on installing an outdoor shower with a screen for the back. showers use a lot of water, so they require a larger tank. We did 9 weeks in a tear drop style camper that had a shower and never used it, so it was a strategic decision.

Two questions (which you may have answered in other videos or the comments below: 1) How do you refill the diesel container? 2) Have you done a video on how to build cabinets and sliding drawers?
Awesome build. I would consider doing something very much like that. The major thing I would change though is that I absolutely have to have a shower inside so I'd sacrifice much of the storage up in the front for that.
I like that it feels primitive the way camping is supposed to feel but still cabin cozy. Not every corner is stuffed with things and cabinets or accents.
You have done an absolutely amazing job with this build! It's so exciting to see what people can do with our trailers! Yours is truly something special! Good luck with your future camping endeavors and please don't hesitate to let us know if we can help in any way!
I know this is a 3 yr old video but, that's a sweet setup
thanks!
Sleek, Modern and Functional? I think it's a MASTERPIECE!!!
This is an incredible build!!! I've been obsessively watching van and trailer conversions for about 2 years now. Yours is probably the best I've seen!
agree, nice use of space
When are you starting your build?
I agree this was a very good use of space. Just thought your closet for jackets and gear was the end of the trailer and you blew my mind when you opened what I thought was yet another cabinet and instead showed a bathroom! 🤯 I think the only thing I would make for myself would be get rid of the two top shelves in the bathroom and make it a vanity with mirror for a fuller bathroom feel, but to each his own (and no kids so less storage needed). Bravo sir, you did an awesome build!
glad I'm not the only one that watches these youtube builds all the time...ha!
Agreed - I have watched endless conversion video, and yours is - far and away - the most beautiful, with the most efficient use of space! Kudos, fellow Coloradan!
Really neat build, I would add a magnetic screen to the back to keep out flies and mosquitoes. Really cool 😎
You did a great job Approximately how much money have you spent on your project.
I bought 1 fer my 7x12 vnose still need start on it to make it a camper
very nice build...would of put a couple of small windows by the bed area and back doors as well.
Fantastic build, design, and skill set! I would love to see more videos. I am trying to make a cargo van my home with 3 criteria that creates problems to which I haven’t been able to find solutions - 1. Can’t cost a lot of money 2. Can easily convert back into cargo van as needed 3. It can be left maintenance free for winter without winterizing. My biggest challenge now is finding skilled people to do the work I am unable to do or that can develop solutions. Your build has a lot of features that could help my build- so thank you for sharing.
When You Gone Have The Sale 💵💯💀⚡️❤️🇺🇸😂
Great job 👏 Do a video on the changes. Always interested in the details
This so much better than using a bus or van. I would be very interested to see how you built it. You did a really professional job. Enjoy
Awesome 👍☺️😎😍😍😁😌♥️♥️♥️😃
I e been looking into doing this and the benefit is detaching it from your vehicle 🚗 that may need maintenance, but not worried about losing your living space.
This looks way better quality than a standard travel trailer
Very much agreed. And more than 1/2 the owners could fix any issue or replace a broken part. Plus these items are mostly at big box stores throughout the travels. No need to go to rv specific place and/or wait for part to come in.
This is why I am going to be building these full time! I think people are waking up and smelling the roses with the low quality junk, and high cost of ownership with manufactured rv’s (at least the trailers)
I love how the couch/bed folds down with a switch. I really would live to see how you did that. I'm at the beginning of my 6x12 conversion and this is one of the best ideas I've see yet. Thanks for sharing your "Corona Queen (CQ) with us. In case you aren't into him radio, the CQ has a double meaning in light of Covid.
Beautiful! Love the functionality, stealth and pleasing look both inside and outside. I kinda feel like stealth is not quite the word I want to use. I don't intend to hide or be sneaky. What I love about the outside appearance is that it is unobtrusive. Blends in with nature rather than competing with it. Very nice.
The only thing that I could see to add would be a bug net over the end for when you leave the gate open to see outside. Awesome build. I love it.
I have looked at 100's of cargo trailer re-do and this is the best one yet . Very tight and sleek . All space being used . I will subscribe
Simply put, just remarkable!!!
I would love this! The biggest thing id want is a sky window so i can look up at the stars while laying in bed.
I am reminded of the aesthetic of high end sailboats, crazy attention to detail and flow. In another world, in my shop, you would be the carburetor and cylinder head guy, especially on British stuff. You've got mad patience coupled with an unforgiving attitude for warped lumber.
Unforgiving attitude for warped plywood.... 😆😆 I spent 2 days cursing and complaining and cut the doors a second time before giving up and moving on. It drives me bonkers, and they will be replaced.
Also, I used to work on cars but it drives me nuts. Frozen bolts and working tight places is a recipe for many angry words.
Very practical, and that's why it's so cool.
One of the best cargo trailer builds I've seen so far......and I've looked at a lot...congrats.#64in Cali.
It's all been said, but probably the best build I have seen yet. You must be an engineer of some sorts :) Great job.
Wow! Absolutely amazing! Love this!!!
I love your trailer! I look forward to seeing the detailed build notes. The only change I can really think of offhand would be to put a screen of some sort across the back and across the main door so you don't have bug issues. You did a fantastic job on the entire build. I admire your craftsmanship and your creativity!
Great ideas, awesome build 👍🏽
Love this conversion!! It’s beautiful!!!!
Unique build. Has everything.
Build a million of these. They'd all sell.
I'll buy the trailer and he can build mine. Im definitely sold.
It's a good feeling having one of the only something in the planet.
Exactly
I agree!
That's bad ass! Stealth is key! Stay safe, happy and on the road!
this is a favorite, of all the hundreds of youtubes I have watched. I would love to have something like this.
I love it. Great space saver storage. 🙌
The ABSOLUTELY BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN PLEASE DO MAKE MORE DETAIL VIDEO'S
It looks like a beautiful cabin inside...How about calling it
"The Roaming Cabin"..., no matter what you call it it is absolutely beautiful inside and very stealthy outside. You've done a lot of clever...hard work ...your family should be very proud of you.
Beautifully done!!🤗❤️🐝
That's a hell of a build. GREAT job !
One of the best builds I’ve seen and I’ve seen a bunch. Excellent job. Safe travels 😊
WOW! I’m impressed.
thanks Steve!
Wow, this trailer is so awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Swap junk draw with utensils draw for access when bed is down . Looks great
Nice job. I am looking into building 1 and this gave me some ideas. Thanks.
That is a great looking cargo conversion camper! He did a great job! Thank you for sharing!
Love your set up. Such detail makes it very useable.
Very innovative and beautiful build. Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful build, I love what you have done. You have a fun sense of humor as well.😊
Love the trailer and very well made video!
Great utilization of space!
Now that's a damn fine build!
Thanks for including links for the hardware you used and everything else. Nice camper buddy!👍🏼☮️
What a great build out!!! I love all the little details.
Thank you for the tour. What a beautiful trailer, safe travels.
Well done. I love it. Thanks for sharing your ongoing project.
This is by far the best conversion I have seen. I love the use of extruded aluminum for your benches and bed slides. Very well done.
Very well done!! It's easy to see that you've put a lot of thought into this build. Workmanship is top notch.
Wow. Best cargo conversion I've ever seen.. Love it.
Wow I love this. Great job. I will look forward to hearing more about it. Thank you!
This is amazing. It’s cozy and I love that you can’t tell from the outside how nicely built it is on the inside. Great build.
Your bed/couch is in my design. I want it on a "swivel" so that the back support becomes the seat are and the seat area becomes the back support, allowing me to use my couch and sit facing out with my backdoor(s) open. Still working on that (ALL in my head or in my sketchbook).
Heyyyyy!! That's a good ideal!! You don't mind if I use for my build out!!!
Best conversion I've ever seen! Great work!
Best trailer conversion so far. Good job sir.
Awesome. At the end, imagine laying in that bed with the back open and watching a sunset or sunrise...omg...gorgeous job buddy
Impressive!!! Showed up in my recommended vids several times, didn't think I was interested in a cargo trailer, finally decided to glance at, and WOW! So glad I did. It's well-designed & crafted. Kudos!!!
Wonderful build! I love it!
a well thought out trailer, thank you for sharing
Great job and you pretty much named your trailer in your finishing words,
“The Outcast” lol.
Love it.
OH WOW! What a beautiful build!!! Soooo nice! All the necessities & comforts you could ever want or need! I love those under the table clamps-genius! It really stabilizes the table! Amazing job! I wish I had the skills to make something like this:)
Thank you for a great tour of your cargo camper very nice 👌
I’m impressed,
Good job sir.
I am blown away impressed with this love it and I have owned a dozen RVs manufactured ones all junk
This is amazing! I love it!
Glad you like it!
This IS A GREAT BUILD!!!
This is the best conversion I have ever seen.
I love this conversion! Please make more videos about the construction...I'll be visiting as soon as the C-19 mess has subsided...I have to see this in person
I'm working on them.
Definitely one of my favorite conversions ive seen, I would love to see more how you built that bed and just more details in general.
Check the channel. You will find what you are looking for. :)
Love this execution! Nice work. Simplicity but has everything you need.
A project to be very proud of.
Beautiful. I would recommend doing a video on what you would do different and other details. We built a overland trailer a few years ago. At that time there were not many. Thank you for the great video, enjoy your adventures and time with family, friends and new friends along the way.
One of the better builds...in fact, this looks like something you could make a business out of if you wanted to....You have certainly built something that is beautiful and functional. Simply and tastefully done. If I were younger I would build something like this, but getting up and down in the bed would be tough, but I am sure there would be other methods and locations for the bed....Good luck in your travels.
What a beatiful rig! You’re an artist.
Nice job. You really pay attention to details. I like it.
Very, very nice build! Your skills and attention to detail are extraordinary. I would love to see more details of your build. Kudos!
More to come!
Would love to see more detail videos!
Amazing job with such a small space. Impressive!!
Staying simple is best , awesome build.
Nice conversion.
Love the style, clean, modern, not cluttered and love those stretchy bungees. I would just want to turn your storage area next to the toilet into a shower...I gotta have one. lol Your design is one of my favorites of 3. You are tied with #1. Great workmanship. The bed is perfect use of space, motorized to flatten the back is a game changer. Thank you for the video
I'd like to know your before and after weight
Definitely one of the best builds I’ve seen
Beautiful job! Absolutely one of the best I've seen and I have seen a lot.
A mosquito screen mesh to the rear from the storage up to the top would be great a view without mosquitoes . Maybe a awning on the door side . Looks good.enjoy
Yeap, and a screen door if possible on side door for massive bug free ventilation. Gr8 set up on this rig, well thot out and executed.
Really Nice build! The layout is very similar to the Parkliner fiberglass trailer I used to have. I was thinking a 7x15'ish would be a nice size, not too big, and you can drop it at your camp spot and be able to go into town, or go explore and have a base camp to come back to. I wish you guys many happy adventures!
For the step up you can mount a rock climbing knob, like they use on the rock climbing walls of the gyms.
Well done!! Thank you for charing 💕
You named it yourself, my friend! “Outcast”
I said the exact same thing. Lol.
killer mustache bro.
Awesome job and great use of space, thank you so much. You’re inspiring!
Very nice craftsmanship.
Firstly, great build! Second, I anxiously await future videos detailing your bed framing design and other details of your drawer and cooler unit assembly. Any details on hardware used to secure it to the walls would be appreciated.
Close to that 1k subs I hooked you up with 1. Hope you make it big. Love the camper nice work
haha. Thanks Man! getting close!
I am very impressed by your diy build
Really beautiful job on this buildout. Love it.
Nicely done sir, I would like to see more about your build...
KISS - Sweet. Cargo Trailer Conversion. Thank you. Happy Travels & Stay Safe.
BTW I loved your design and the care you took in your build. Just beautiful!
