@@carstenthomsen1093 That's not true the battle of battle of Mysunde, saw the Pruessen trying to break throught on it's eastern flank of Dannevirke, and ended up being pushed back, the same was the case for the Austrian at the battle for Königshügel, where they tried to clear the danish defenses, that was before the main Dannevirke fortification(what one normally think of when they say Dannevirke, the 17 km long fortification line, ignoring that Dannevirke in full covered 70 km.)
Like do you know how germans learned that Dannevirke had been abounded?
The Austrian had sent an officer to negotiate a ceasefire to remove death and wounded in front of Dannevirke. And was surprised to discover that the danes had made a full retreat.
