    One of the secret of the Climate in Lima city is taking a bus for about 30 minutes in the direction of the East ( Andes ) we can enjoy a sunny day, even during the winter time. It sounds weird but it is true. In places as Lunahuana, Cieneguilla, Chaclacayo, Chosica, etc we can enjoy the sun

    Watching your video right now! I know and have heard several people feel the same as you...when it comes to the lack of excitement. Seems like the remedy to that is to start a NEW language. Several people say that works and it also increases your appreciation of the language you are studying. Also, they said it motivated them to continue seeking advanced fluency in their target language, while beginning a new language. Another great video! ❤

    Sr Mike Que belleza de video nos ha mostrado ud. Estoy realmente impresionada que hasta me han dado ganas de visitar al Peru 🇵🇪 Le cuento que yo tuve que ver este video dos o tres veces para entenderlo bien porque para mí que aprendo inglés usted también habla muy rápido 😆Ya a la segunda vez es mucho mejor y la tercera a veces no la necesito y si la necesito la vuelvo a escuchar porque no quiero perder ni una palabra 👍La última parte donde se ven todas esas imágenes reflejadas en los chorros de agua es preciosisima. Cuanta historia y tradición..!!!! Nosotros los cubanos cuando decimos que una ciudad es movida o muy movida nos referimos a la vida que tiene la ciudad, si tiene mucho tráfico, si hay muchas personas en las calles caminando, comprando , mucho turismo nacional o extranjero, así diríamos nosotros nunca refiriendonos al peligro( sino entendi mal porque casi todo lo habló en inglés)New York es una ciudad muy movida, Miami etc pero nunca lo usaríamos refiriendonos al peligro. Cada país latino tiene su propia jerga e incluso palabras que uno hablando Español no las conoce. No me extiendo más. Cuando pueda nos cuenta si su hermano disfrutó bien el viaje. Que experiencia tan maravillosa debe haber tenido. La abuela ♥️

      @@MikeBen Estoy de acuerdo con la cubana, muy movido es cuando hay mucho trafico, gente, que esta en movimiento, por lo que los ladrones aprovechan eso para pasar desapercibidos y robarte. Con respecto al español no solo cada país tiene su jerga, si no que el español tiene muchos sinónimos, y cada país ha adoptado el sinónimo que mas usa, por ejemplo, automóvil, se puede decir auto, carro, coche. En Perú se usa mas carro o auto pero en España se usa la palabra coche, otro ejemplo es la palabra cerdo, sinónimos de cerdo son puerco, chancho, cochino, en Perú mas se usan chancho y cerdo, pero en México me parece, no estoy muy segura, que usan el puerco, el cochino. También existen las expresiones que tiene cada país y es así como nos diferenciamos entre nosotros los hispanohablantes en Perú , es el Asu madre o Asu mare (this is incredible, or awsome)

    One of the Pro's of living or traveling for the 1º time in Peru is the good spanish spoken in most of the country, specially in places as Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Cajamarca, Trujillo, Chiclayo, etc. big-to-medium size cities. The reason for that good pronunciation is because of the heritage from the past. Lima was La Ciudad de los Reyes ( The City of the Kings ) and Peru the main Viceroyalty in America ( Virreynato del Perú ) this brought a well-educated linage of people from Europe

    • @MikeBen
      @MikeBen  Před 2 lety +4

      I didn't know that part but I did know that Peru was a stronghold during colonial times. This makes a lot of sense though because I found the Spanish there to be very crisp and easily understandable.

    Mike Ben, thanks for visiting Peru, I hope you have had a good time, I appreciated all your kind words about Lima and elsewhere,...I go to Lima every year, since my retirement, here in NYC,...and despite of the many years here, when I'm in Lima or other cities, I do the same advice, and I think what it is, we love our tourists so much, that we want that, everyone, has the best time possible, enjoying great food, nice popular spots and etc., I, 100% agree with you of the quiet exaggeration we do, being Lima City, an almost 13 million people, of course, you're right, any city in this size, we have to be careful, but not histerical, and sadly, without a thought, we do, that to tourists, specially being a foreigner, with a language barrier,....Now, I've been to Atlanta, specially Savannah, several times, lovely cities, and I've visited the famous Fox theater,...😊🙏,...

    Peruvians will always tell you that Lima is dangerous. It is not the same concept as *danger* in English. In Peru - only in Peru - someone could tell you that Lima or anywhere in Peru is "dangerous" even though they haven't had any bad experience, at all. "danger said by peruvians" is more like "be careful in english" . Peruvians take care of you while you are in their country, and they really do not want you to have any kind of problems. So when a peruvian say that place is "dangerous" probably it is not really at all.

    • @MikeBen
      @MikeBen  Před 2 lety +2

      I appreciate that insight and I understand why they say it, I didn't personally feel in danger when I was in Lima but it could have been who I was with or my risk tolerance.
