Always good to get out and make sure your cold riding gear works for you.
Thank you for sharing your set up system and organizational system.
Great coffee start to my day. First frost rides from Coach Bob and you one after another! Hope they can get your stead up and running soon.
Wow it’s 68 in Broussard Louisiana but it’s raining. But we need the rain. Love Y’all 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey John & Miriam, glad to see you out ryding. Sorry to hear about the air bag trouble hopefully they will get you fixed up in no time.
Staying warm is important to enjoy the Ryde and looks like you have it covered.
Ryde safe and God Bless
Artie & Tracy
Thanks for the info 👍
Earl and I are going to ride this Saturday, 66 degrees and sunny, for some wind therapy.
Bless you both 🙏
Good to know all of this thank you. I'm never dressed right. We just rode in 34 temps 🥶🥶🥶. It warmed up some. I will check out the boots. I don't have hiking boots anymore. John you are in great shape. Do you keep your helmet cracked when riding in the cold. It kinda looked like it. No no to snow please. Good lunch partner. Tomato bisque yummy!!!! Your audio is always clear and clean. Thank you for that. It's so important that most CZcamsrs miss. I will look into the mics. Another great video. Good to see you both.
Good for you getting out there!! 34…brrrrr!!!
Good morning J&M, our spyder is hiding in the shed but hope to get it out when we get a warm day in the winter. We have the same brand of battery operated jackets that we use camping in the spring and fall.
Well you inspired me (as you often do!) so I got the Spyder out and did a nice ride today. Getting some lunch would have been nice as that tomato bisques looked delish! I was always a leather and puffy under garment (reds old school) rider but now electric is my mantra. LUV LUV LUV the heated seats and handle bars on our 21 RTL. Those and heated gloves, jacket liner and pants will keep me cozy to about 20 degrees. Don't ask me how I know!
Heated gear! 👍👍👍
Those look like some nice boots. I very much dislike trading bulk for warmth. Makes me feel like Ralphie's little brother. Bummer about the air bag... Lunch looks lovely!
LOL @ "Makes me feel like Ralphie's little brother."

Great tech tips I'm not a vloger but do run a helmet camera. COLD ????....Ha hahaha! In 50* weather here in Ontario you see shorts and tee shirts riders. I put the warm stuff on @32*F and below until then I wear my warm weather gear. You have to come north and do a snowmobile trip that's when you'll definitely need warmer gear but you will never see more beautiful scenery. Stay Safe Stay Well and Keep Three Wheels Down!
Glad you could ride. I’m three weeks in on recovery from major back surgery. Haven been on a ride on my Spyder in weeks. But I did just order a new jacket in anticipation…
That’s motivation! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
I do sort of miss riding in Virginia when it's just a little cool outside. I don't know if I'll need that warm T-shirt down here in FL but I'm gonna look into it anyway. Anyone else notice a key base layer component wasn't listed? Boxer or brief, we really don't want to know.🤫 🤣😂😁
Hello you two! Itis currently -12 celsius , and the tempurature is going a little up…but here ir means snow again! Announcing 15 to 30 cm again. Wish I could ride still!
I will keep this video near..plenty of usefull tips for maybe another good trip
My last ride i wore my merrel boots too, they really are good to stay warm!
Have Grat time ride
Stay safe!
The coldest temperature I've ridden in is the low 30's or between 0C and 5C. This year, the cold weather came earlier in late October so my Spyder went into storage earlier, unlike last year when I rode in early November with temperatures around 70F or 21C. The right clothing is just as important as the right gear. Cheers!
We admire your fortitude, Richard! Perhaps early winter will bring an early spring? We can hope!
Hmmm... I'm not familiar with capilene...we wear Marino wool.
Merino wool always works! Capilene is just a different form of moisture wicking base layer…polyester?? Cheaper than merino wool but not cheap. (I must be getting old…constantly experiencing sticker shock from prices!).

John, what brand of helmet do you wear?
HJC modular,,, I like the modular so I can drink coffee
The undershirt you mentioned “capolean” - I’m unfamiliar with that brand or process. Can you expand or provide a link?
Hay SpyderMoose. Its "Capilene" a polyester blend brand sold by Patagonia. Pricy, but worth it..
