- A prophet was away at battle when he was tormented by the idea of his wife committing adultery. He sought help from the Archangel Gabriel, who advised him to give his wife a test. The test was that whatever his wife was carrying when he returned, he should ask her to drop in water. If the color of those things when dropped into the water didn’t change color, his wife had been faithful to him. When he returned from the battle, his wife welcomed him with a big bundle of red roses and was surprised when the prophet asked her to drop them in the river. However, she still obeyed his command, and the color of the red roses turned to saffron yellow. Even though the color of the flowers changed, which indicated her unfaithfulness, he still forgave his wife, but the yellow rose remained the symbol of infidelity.

This was such a well executed piece of art. The costumes, the choreography, the lighting and the passion of the dancers on their faces and in their moves. The camera work added another huge level of beauty to this. This made me feel things I haven't felt in a while.

Nicole has THE best visuals. She is truly an artist and I love that she challenges and showcases the artist in all of her students. my favorite concept is how the dancers are a group, but their pain and hurt is very individual... I feel like it speaks to a larger theme of what it means to have true loyalty and commitment in a relationship--of which, those themes are only so pronounced by their absence. This piece makes you think, connect to larger issues, and, personally, made me emotional.
I was especially emotional when each girl is looking at their rose, almost as if you can see them thinking through everything, like saying to themselves "I've done everything right... I said all the right things... I acted in all the right ways... why is this happening? Why does this hurt so much?"

I saw this a few years ago for the first time, and I hadn't seen it in awhile. After watching it again, I remain convinced that this is simply one of the best videos I've ever seen, regardless of category/genre. The conceptualization, the artistry, the cinematography, the execution of the exceptionally talented dancers... the end result is an utterly riveting production compelling such focused attention that one probably wouldn't notice it if Jesus walked by.
