How did you watch this video and decide that the ball is a smurf? Need glasses or you just werent paying atention. Sombra is a throwing smurf. Ball went afk last minute of a 22 minute 4v5 game. Youre raging at ball because youre part of the problem with the community.

I've reported 3 suspected hackers and 2 people going real hard on the profanity in the last week. I've gotten no less than 5 'thanks we spanked them' popups in that same time frame.
Actually use the report button. Blizzard is a generally shit company but they'll at least retroactively deal with problem accounts if you report them and it's something reportable. Reporting people for 'throwing' when they're just doing poorly doesn't count.

I'm a plat player that often falls down into low gold even at times silver because of this exact problem and you're kind of always told that it's a skill issue complaining about these kind of players but it's a very real struggle of dealing with entitled, almost bottish teammates. I'm in console pool so it become worse because the environement of the voice chat for example... makes it hard to love the game
People who tell you it's a skill issue have obviously never spent considerable time in bronze-gold lobbies. They also probably haven't played support solo queue for 99% of your ranked games. Earlier I played a couple games where I was dmg boosting my DPS and they missed 90% of their shots, obviously they ended up hitting enemies because they had damage at the end of the game but we got absolutely ran through until I switched to bap.

Ima be honest bro- this kind of thing may cost a game from time to tome, but you aren’t falling from plat to silver because of this. The enemy team has 5 chances for these players, your team only has 4. In the long run, you’ll benefit more from enemy throwers than be hurt by friendly throwers. You gotta take accountability for your games

honestly, i wish you're able to surrender as a team especially as there are too many trolls around. i'd rather quickly lose the game instead of wasting even more time and efforts when people like these exist. also, i really wish the devs would punish trolls more as they just ruin the experience for their teammates.

No especially not! I have already play a game who have this system and seriously, the teammate surrender everytime for nothing!!! "We lose the first round? Go surrender even if they are 3 round! Yeaaa!" it's only gonna get worse if they add this 😢

We need live mod teams that can intervene in egregious situations like this one.
This game was 20+ minutes? Someone taking 30 seconds out of their day to come in and see the 0/0/0 Sombra end of round 2 and voiding the match while tossing a ban at the Sombra would be a great move on Blizzard's part.
But that'd require them to make a great move. Not their strong suit.
Surrender votes would probably not be a good thing. Think about quickplay and how many times people leave after losing one team fight. It'd be cancerous.
Back when I played R6 Siege you could vote kick players, if it was just a single troll. They could implement this in Overwatch.
The worst part is that this Sombra will get absolutely nothing as penalty. This is why more and more people keep doing shit like that. There is simply no punishment and if there is any it is so ridiculously low, nobody cares.
I would always prefer bad players who feed but at least try to do something than those trash smurf throwing games "to have fun" by doing nothing, I don't know how can people stay calm and how thoses throwers still have their smurf account on.
The Sojourn/Sombra seem to be in the breed of Smurf accounts that try to hold games hostage and make them last forever by throwing on defense and sweating on attack. Ik Flats has seen some pretty crazy examples of people doing just that
Best Lucio beat I ever had was in OW1. I was playing with friends and the enemy threw a DVa bomb on Havana that caught us off foot. I managed to beat in time and saved us all. It was crazy and my friends were all screaming in excitement lol.
My best Lucio beat was yesterday, I beated on a EMP + Sunrise combo, saving all my team with 1700 damage mitigated at once.

Oddly enough I get way less of these types of matches now then I did in overwatch 1.
However I have a few rules for myself when I play ranked
I only play between the hours of 2pm and 10pm CST after 10 people start getting drunk before 2 there is not enough players to guarantee a good matchmaker.
I always play atleast 5 quickplay matches with the charecters I plan to use, sometimes I am just not doing well that day and I can figure that out before I que ranked. Also gives you a feel for what the match maker is like that day.
And if I lose multiple matches in a row I stop playing for the day and come back later.
I should try this..but man, the fact that we have to test how the matchmaker is...that was never an issue in ow1 I feel.
@@DeathsAvariceit was definitely a problem in ow1 but not because there's something wrong with the game. it just has to do with the fact we are playing a game with strangers, which is a constant source of randomness. you never know who's playing on a given day.
and it's also important to remember the game is still new. it's not even a year old yet so there will always be a regular influx of new players, who add additional randomness just because there's such a wide range of possible skill with a new player. you might have a veteran of fps games who's just getting around to trying overwatch, or you might have someone who is basically new to video games in general. then there are the people in between - those who are new to ow AND to fps games, those with some level of fps experience, etc etc.
stuff takes time to calm down. a year isn't that long in terms of a games longevity and in terms of building community knowledge. a huge portion of our community is new players! and that's not a bad thing. it's exciting to have new people and get to make friends and teach them everything we know. it just means things aren't going to be consistent and predictable for a while, through no fault of our own and no fault of the game.
Just love how de-rankers either don't care or don't get that they are not playing with a bunch of bots. They're ruining everyone's fun in every lobby they join.
This duo has also been in plat/diamond lobbies (somehow) and have been absolute menaces to the OCE players as they have joined VC to call everyone slurs too.

I also smurf just to be able to play with my higher rank friends (sounds weird, I know. But I am a Dia 5 tank, Gold 1 dps and Plat 3 (I feel like I am higher because I now keep going up on the new account) support, however, I got literally trolls and throwers on my main account and dropped quite a bit. Literally bots, afk, jump off the map players, everything... It was sad. The new account threw me exactly into my peaks again (I worked every single role from Bronze 4-5 up to their rank, it was quite upsetting to drop) so I'll take it.) And both accounts I still take quite seriously, having fun as much as I want just playing well. I've designated each account to different heroes to learn them and it works out great. I think this kind of "smurfs" play just to do what "bad players" did to their games or something. If not, idk why they do it otherwise, it's stupid regardless, though.
@satamiko You're not smurfing, you just have a second/alt account. A smurf account is specifically an alt account of a high level player who is intentionally keeping their rank significantly lower than it should be, so they can roll a bronze lobby whenever they want and feel good about how skillful they are (/s). Making an alt account to try and rank up higher is the opposite of smurfing.
@@PunkZombie1300 Smurfing is playing in a lower rank than you are, which I am now doing on my 1st account. I play better than the average and that is what smurfing is.
You would think that this player has a lot of reports on their account if they play like this so it's strange that they haven't been banned yet.

at low elo smurf always ask for a Mercy cause they consider low elo players have no skill to play others heroes better than a mercy they considerate this support to be able to be played even by a monkey@@Antonio-ys5zd
They are smurfingg. Throw games to keep rank low but doing g stuff some of the round so the enemy team is less likely to report them for sabotage.
Support is so hard to rank up. Just had two back to back rank resets (5-5, then 5-3) and i played in diamond 4-5 lobbies, only to stay in Plat 3.
I was playing a mix of Brig, Kiriko, and Zen. Usually had the most healing in the lobby and fewest deaths in those games. I keep reranking as Plat 3.

Play Moira, easy to carry in plat. She got me out of plat. I’m masters now.

I had in opposite team duo, they were smurfing for sure but still lost. They didnt afk but while we all were sweating our as*es they were chilling, kinda trolling? and still kill our team a lot. We won with 9 to 8, oh my I wont forget this match

Sombra will ONLY ATTACK the absolute only moment when all 5 members are low hp for a chainkill at the cart, and ONLY then will they move. Otherwise that player is deadweight.
ANd before you ask, yes I used to be a CnD spy in TF2, before I went Heavy

Basically just shitty people trying to draw the game out as long as possible by hard throwing the first round, then try harding in the middle, then throwing again at the end. Apparently it's an ego thing and some people get off on the idea, and it's more common in lower rank lobbies.
Plat Lucio here. I may not be the best but he’s not wrong, don’t hold beat. Unless there’s a diva , genji, jq, or zarya, you ult can be EATEN by enough ult damage and concentration fire. While beat is one of the slowest building ultra, it also causes the other team to let them top once it’s out, especially if it’s random which can make them discoordinste and waste outs
I’m stuck in low gold / high silver bc my team always has one of these types of players. I get 2k damage boosted and 13k heals on mercy and still loose and derank 😭
I’m that Lucio player that gets overly excited and beats in the middle of random fights 😅
1st and 2nd week of Season is always bad. Alot of streamers on high ranks are deranking their alt account so they can make another stupid "unranked to GM" video.

Ok so there’s this guy in OCE that has purposely deranked his diamond acc down to bronze/silver so he can pick on lower ranked players and get clips. I feel like this might be him even though the names are on hidden. He states he is top 500 btw.

you might say that that sombra wasn't t500, but you just don't know the 0 deaths t500 strat. You make the enemy team THINK that you are a god by not dying, thus making them forfeit the game.
I hate seeing games like these. This is why I feel we need a decent-sized group of live mods that can come into games and yeet problem players on the fly.
Aside from losing SR, you can't just quit due to penalties, so you're just held hostage in this game until it's over and it feels like shit the entire time.
I rather have a player who is objectively awful at everything than a smurf. At least the player thats objectively bad (me probably) maybe will listen to advice (something i have done)
