Income tax return ay 2021-22 has been started but because of unstable portal ITR filing is not working properly.
New Income tax portal has made it too complex to match pan and profile details. You can compare pan,aadhar and profile details.

PAN, Aadhaar, ITR Profile - along with Bank details - matching is a really massive problem. Only the programmer has to use his diligence to minimise them. Viz in the case "India was missing in one address, the system throws an error message. Only one of the numbers is to be chosen as "Critical" - say "PAN" - then if that matches with linked 1 Aadhaar, 2 ITR Profile and 3 Bank a/c number - that should be suffice for "Return Filing". Perfecting the 3 ends is a very long drawn process. Each of us will have to seek an IT consultant for filing ITR 1, with income just crossing the threshold limit. Great video which will help most of us.
This is the most practical video I have seen so far on this subject. There could be many syntaxes of the same address and also representation on the record is done by diff agencies! At least 'xml' download shud be made possible!

Thank you for your videos on new portal. I am facing exactly same difficulty regarding bank validation and profile update. Kindly take up this matter especially bank validation where ifsc code.has changed after merger.

Why can't IT dept correct PAN details by collecting Aadhaar card Themselves? Are they not believing Aadhaar issuing Dept which also belongs to IT dept and not to any other foreign country. The dept is harrassing Co-citizens who are honest tax payers.

U can try fily itr during early morning hours or late night, by choosing new itr filing instead of resume filing. Also while e verifying choose e verify later.

Hi, can you please help me in solving this? I was filing ITR 2 and after clicking on proceed to validation, it shows the error "Last Name is Mandatory". I have checked,
1- my pan and adhar are linked,
2-compared the name, address and all other details in the portal and they are correct,
3-i have no middle name,
4- My name in the portal profile is correct but it got changed into single name after validatio
5-I am filing the itr since last 4 years and never faced such issue.
Basically the error is baseless i guess. Please suggest.

This is a complete ridiculous and disaster thing by the new portal. Making unnecessary complications for the tax payers..

Let IT dept take the service of Police Dept to verify the genuineness of our details instead of matching with Aadhaar if they do not believe our statement. Let them not stick up to their PAN which was issued several years back.
Very nice video,the address of person are correct but in libht bill,pan,adhar and bank some information write on onward or back because writing the of each department is different.so make colomn write correct permanent address in return coloumn.
