Day 1
On the beginning of Walkman Week, we take a look at the first model Walkman that I ever picked up! And that's the WM-F1! Released around 1981, not only is this a sturdy bit of kit, but it's the first Walkman that came with a radio feature!

Have one since new, top notch walkman, very reliable and the sound is perfect for a basic model, tuner is top notch also, plus 2x60mw blows your ears off,

I own a Sony WM-4 which is basically the same model as F1 but without a tuner. It's very solid & built like a tank. I still play cassettes on it & enjoy it's sound quality.

I don't usually find walkmen interesting (mostly subscribed for the Idents and Brum), but you make it interesting so I will be returning tomorrow.
Ps: maybe have the intro music be played on a cassette!

Did you rebuild this or buy it refurbished? My grandfather gave me mine and I had to buy another one for parts to get a new circuit board. I had to replace it because the volume control was completely shot.. also changed out the belts because they were completely melted. But it works like new now! It was like pandoras box when i opened it up! But time and persistence I got her up and running! I should have listened till the end, you bought it lol but have you ever rebuilt one?
