Just hired a company president for a new startup. Among his first actions last week was to implement Slack! As this was my first exposure to Slack, I used your video to play catch-up. Not only am I impressed with Slack and your presentation, it gives me new respect for our president for implementing it.
Thanks so much for sharing, it's literally our favorite software and the back bone of the company, love that we could be of help!!
@@RaviAbuvala You really crush it by combining others apps such as Zapier. After conferencing with Matt G today, I am excited about signing up with SWS (Scaling With Systems) providing us the resources to WEATHER THE STORM OF SUCCESS.
@@georgespencer8871 Couldn't be more excited to have you as part of the team!
Your videos are fantastic. I'm learning a ton, thanks for sharing so much powerful information!
I've learnt a whole lot from this video
Thanks
Amazing training, I never knew slack has this many features and capabilities, thanks for sharing it
Thank you or enjoying it!!
Thanks Ravi, super helpful, chock full of Value. Learned about the Zoom integration which was really cool.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome content and delivery. Iâm totally new to this platform.
Thanks Ravi, this was the best slack tutorial Iâve seen!
I was wondering if I could ask for some advice from you? I run an audiobook production company, publishers hand over their books to me and I manage a team in order to produce the book. I first hand over the electronic version of the book to a member of my typesetting team, who format the book so itâs easier to read in a studio. Then I hand it over to a member of the narrating team, who narrates it in the studio. I then hand it over to a member of my sound engineering team, who cleans and edits the recording. Finally I hand it over to a member of the proof listening team who listens the whole book making sure there arenât any mistakes.
Sometimes Iâm working on multiple books at a time, so one typesetter could be working on one book, and another one would be working on another book, similarly with the narrators; and each book may be at a different point of the production phase; so for eg one book may still be being typesetted, whilst another is already being narrated in the studio.
My question is: should I create a new channel for each individual Book that Iâm working on, and add in the particular typesetter, narrator, engineer and proof listener whoâll be working on that book; and once itâs done I delete the channel.. or, should I create a channel dedicated to all the typsetters, another one for the narrators, another one for the engineers, and a final one for the proof listeners? Which do you think would be more efficient?
Nice work. Well done!
Hey Ravi. I'm not sure how old these videos are but I am just embarking on my journey with Slack/Zapier and Asana. You have been a great help with the installation and set up of Slack so looking forward to getting to grips with all 3 applications in the business!
how is asana
Yo Ravi- I'm Super Hyped- I've never heard of Slack...It took me several days of watching it- so I could start building out my own...I''m so ready to kill the email it isn't funny, Slack has High Utility and the ease of function looks insane. Thank you for creating the vid...I'm going to work!
Thanks, this's really interesting.
great value - thnks Man!
It looks great!
Great Video..Thanks
Great!!!!! Thanks.
So good đ„
đđŒđđŒ thank you!
Thanks, Ravi, I was thinking I don't give my phone number to clients, this way is more professional
Would be amazing to see Slack to Taskade guide in the future! :)
DOPE & UNIQUE
Thank you!
bro your editing is toooođ„đ„đ„slight zoom in at 1:31, then the cut at 1:35đ°đ
My man!! Thank you!
Slack is my favorite business software
Agreed!!
great content again - when will we see a video on Active Campaign?
Next few weeks!
I'd love it if you could do a video on how you manage your g suite, Google drive or File and system organisation for your busienszes
That's a great one, will do!
Would love to see an ActiveCampaign video!
On the list!
Ravi is interesting to listen to and very knowledgeable. He's a great teacher, I just wish he would talk a little slower so I as a new person to slack don't miss any of his advice.
Thank you so much!! Sorry I get that a lot!
@@RaviAbuvala Ravi, I am a retired human resources manager from the Smithsonian and so I can see that you have great potential to be an even more effective presenter! I encourage you to really work on presenting more slowly.
@@paulholloway6571 Thanks!
You can click on the cog wheel of most videos and choose a slower or faster speed. I for one like his quick presentation. I'm busy and I just want the good points. I can always come back if I need to hear it again.
You can reduce the speed of video playback on the settings icon at the bottom right hand corner
Hey.. I'm confused between using slack vs discord.. slack is a lil pricey for our budget. From what I could gather from various comparison articles, the only major downside of discord is the lack of integrations with other business related apps.. could you please tell me if using zapier with discord will be a viable option for me?
Hey! Zapier is free for up to 10,000 messages.
I also can't speak on discord as I don't use it, but the integrations are a key component of why we use slack.

Can I see unread slack channels of other team members if Iâm the admin?
Can you show how to use a virtual background in Slack please. Thanks
What do you mean by "virtual background?"
Can anyone recommend a program for a small business sole operator for project/task management?
I love the look of Slack, but donât need all the extras for managing staff, or is it still possible to use Slack for this purpose too?
Thanks in advance đ

Hi,What is the basic difference between slack, whatsapp and telegram app
Do you use the same slack account for all of your companies or do you manage them separately
Keep it separate, but if it's important I'll "share" access with one of the slack channels inside my main company.
@@RaviAbuvala awesome Ravi thanks
What tool do you use as a to do list
Notes on Macbook.
I know some people who have been âslack mastersâ their whole lives... đ
Does slack let you screen share or call free for VA's in the Philippines?
quite sure he uses zoom for that
Do you create channels for your client communications?
The paid version is needed for that right?
I would never create channels for client communication, that opens up the idea that they can message you at any time of the day and expect a response back immediately.
We use a ticketing software like ZenDesk and then we're able to offer a 2-3 day turnaround.
I'm very familiar with WhatsApp. I built a community with many groups. Is there a way to import my community into Slack?
"Premiers in four hours" noooooooooooo

Which Slack Plan do you use for your business?
There's updated plans and I was just curious what you were using now.
