New Xbox One X BROKEN in less than 2 days

- Hi, unfortunately my Xbox One X has broken. I got it on the 7th November and now on the 9th November it refuses to power up. It was working fine and the console has not been moved (or dropped!) to cause the fault.
The power lead is working fine so the issue it with the Xbox One X console itself. I have tried unplugging it for 10 seconds to reset the power supply and unplugging all the cables but nothing makes it work. Hopefully it is not a common issue and I have just been unlucky.
I show in the video how to remove a stuck disc as my Forza Horizon 3 was in the Xbox One X before it went faulty. If you know of this issue or any other issues with the Xbox One X please add it to the comments as a 'Google' search didn't show any issues with the internal power supply or any other faults since release.

UPDATE!!!!! (13th Nov 2017)
I took it back to Smyths (the store I bought it from) the next day after the video and although the website said they were out of stock they had a few in stock because of pre orders that were not collected. They tested the faulty 'X' and gave me another one without any fuss, they said I was the first one to come in with a problem so the issue isn't widespread. This 2nd Xbox One X is so far working well. The only issue I have had with the 2nd one is the HDMI stopped displaying, I unplugged it from the back of the console and then plugged it back in again and it displayed properly again. The HDMI cable (the plug part) did feel very hot!!!!! I am also turning off 'instant on' just in case there is an issue with the PSU. (just being a bit paranoid).
But overall I am happy with it :-)

I’ve had two now, both have broken inside 6 months, first one froze and wouldn’t process anything, second one is staring up and showing error codes everytime.
Why pull the power cable from the wall socket after switching the switch off at the socket? Throwing the switch is all you need to isolate the power.
Sony or Microsoft they both can't mass produce consoles without 1 or 2 or 100s coming out broken. Y'all should demand them both to have better testing to make sure this doesn't happen or happen less.

Damn dude when I got mine i bought an LG OLED 65 in. The switch and the Xbox One X all together. It almost came to $5000 USD. And you know what is fucked up? Both the Xbox crapped and burned out. And then a window blew out of the frame behind our TV smashing it on the floor and cracked the screen. Then the day we went and bought a brand new Xbox One X from Best Buy. The old one that crapped out started working. 😑

Mine has developed a really annoying fault - I can play a few games just fine - like Tetris, however as soon as I try playing CoD it quits to the dashboard. I can get to the game options and configure load outs and select the characters and queue up a game, however as soon as the game starts it'll quit to the dashboard. So certain games play fine, those using 4k seem to cause the issue (although I think the Tetris game is enhanced for 4k?!). I have factory reset and tried installing all the games on an external drive, but still it will refuse to play 4k titles. I can play bluray movies fine though. I guess I'll have to strip it down and check the heatsink compound.

People then assume they will fix this problem in future Xbox x consoles. But people will still be weary and buy the protection plan because they have that “defective” thing in their mind.

i think because the boards and components made prior to 2005 were made of a higher quality than those we have today.
i have my fat ps2, an old dell optiplex 270, an original xbox and a 2002 old gaming pc. all bought in 2004. none of them had failed me to this day.

Back to present day, and both my xbox one s and ps4 are working fine - but my friend bought a one x from Tesco and there was a problem with the Internet on it - WiFi and through cable--so he couldn't set it up.

IKR. I'm concerned that my dad's Xbox One X might break soon. The console is unusually hot even when it's off and that concerns me.
What a shame. That's why I don't buy a brand new console after release or pre order it. It can come with those "new release" flaws. It's better to wait a little.

My xbox one s is turns on only by the controler. The power button is turns on and then on. I can start the xbox only by the controler. Pls help
Someone please tell me what to do I've hard reset unplugged and done all the steps but Xbox works for about 20 min then freezes

Garbage
Bought mine today at 4pm and it wouldn't go past the green Xbox one logo screen. Tried every suggestion and just ends up at the 'something went wrong' screen. Currently boxed up to be returned tomorrow morning. Should I try another!?!? 🤔
I need urgent help!! Got a new Xbox One X with that trade-in deal of my old Xbox One at my local Gamestop, and I am beginning to think they sold me one with a faulty disc drive, cause it won't read a SINGLE f'ing disc! I don't mean you get the screen saying your disc is dirty, I mean it won't even pop-up the notification to allow me to install it. I am trying to play the new Madden NFL 19, but I have tried it with NBA2k18 and Madden NFL 18 as well. Same issue. The weird thing is I was able to play a demo of NBA Live 18, which I had a great time with! So if I can play demo games off the hard drive, why can't it read the disc? Is there something I am supposed to do to get it to pop-up and say install the game, or isn't it supposed to do that automatically? I went into apps and games, and it doesn't show ANY games listed! Only demos! I find it weird that it doesn't show my past Xbox One game history from games like Madden NFL 18, NBA2k18, etc. Isn't that strange? Shouldn't it show that if it's tied to my gamer tag? Please for the love of god someone help me!! LOL! Sorry, but I am really frustrated!!
