I was born roman catholic, in Italy, then I became buddhist for 20 years, ever looking for "the Truth", aiming for salvation and Love... Then I studied and practised every kind of meditation, sciamanism, tarots, crystals and everything possible, never finding peace... But God... He came to me, called me, took my face in His Loving hands and said " keep your eyes on Me"... and I cried, and I felt at home, and I started reading the bible. I am an ex hindu. I was stubborn to any other religion or belief especially christianity. One day, (at around 23 years of age) and after some confusing hindu rituals, I went on my knees and prayed this ... 'God, I am calling you God because I dont know who you are. Some say you are this god and some say that you are that god. The one thing I do know is that when I die, I dont want to go to hell. So, you show me the way to heaven.' I wasn't expecting anything but i just sat in prayer quietly for a few seconds and then with my eyes still closed, my eyes opened and I could see a dark cloud evaporating from my body. Then my stomach started a joyful churning all the way through my throat and out of my mouth - I started calling on Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. I knew something deep was happening. I then went to church and fell in love with the person of Jesus, Abba Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus truly is the Way, the Truth and Life. Amen

Jesus saved my life from a near fatal spirit attack. I was deep in the New Age and witchcraft and after it, I gave myself to Jesus. When this was happening, I only called out to Jesus because He was last resort before death. He saved me, a sinner, no matter how much I ignored Him. It's only after that experience do I realise how we are surrounded by darkness and we must give ourselves to Christ and no other. My life has totally changed ever since. Around the same time of this experience, a friends daughter had a dream that I died, standing in the exact spot of where this encounter happened, only that in the dream, I actually died, and my corpse was found rotting 3 days later. I believe had I not called out for Jesus to help me, this was going to be the result. Praise you Lord Jesus!

There is nothing bigger or more loving than God.❤ So thankful He forgave me and saved me from the hell I was in and headed towards. I also was raised in Hinduism and grew up doing Yoga. I read The Sermon on the Mount often. God always had His hand on me and I finally sorted out the truth from the lies, with God's help. I have never turned and looked back. I love following Jesus.

The difference is the yoga meditation you EMPTY yourself and with the meditation of a believer in Christ you simply FILL yourself with the word of God.

Whether you empty yourself or fill yourself through meditation is entirely upto you. I always feel fulfilled, energized and invigorated after each session of Yoga. Maybe you weren't doing it with the right mindset and belief, that's why you felt empty.

Almost 3 years ago when I was demonized, I was trying to meditate one night and it wasn’t helping me, and something told me “try Jesus” and even though I didn’t believe in him I trusted the voice and in my mind I cried out “Jesus! Give me calm!” And all of a sudden I felt his immense love and my whole body felt on fire, tears running down my face and I’m just smiling. My husband was in the bedroom with me and was like “are you okay?” Bc I don’t usually start crying out of nowhere. All the evil fled, and shortly after my encounter with God I felt unworthy, like a sinner.

I think you may mean that in comparison to the presence of the Lord, you became aware of your unworthiness. There are many examples of this in the Old Testament. And even Paul said, "I am the least of the least...."
It's not about going around with an attitude of unworthiness but an awareness of your worth in Christ, which humbles us.

Hi brothers and sisters in Jesus. I gave my life to Jesus in 2017 but I’m really struggling I pray to god constantly and I know Jesus loves me. Every time I read my bible as soon as I read a verse I can feel it slipping away from me and I don’t remember what I’ve read and I’m certain I am being attacked by demonic spirits but I continue to pray and speak to god constantly and I ask him to surround me in his grace. I prayed for you - I've gone through something similar and God taught me that I had to trust Him in the darkness until He chooses to lead me out of it; to KEEP trusting and believing is how He grows our faith in Him; remember that Scripture serves many purposes, one of them being a weapon. I agree with Rnaick. Look up on your search engine, "verses about xyz (whatever you're dealing with)". Write them down and have them handy (I like to think of it as "assembling the arsenal" - 'makes me feel like a boss lol) and every time you feel the way you do, attack back with them. Make them personal, inserting your own name or "I" or "me". Our Father has not left us unarmed. Sing praises to Him! It's another weapon of spiritual warfare in addition to prayer and the Word. P.S., it doesn't only have to be a "Christian" song. I love Michelle Branch's song "You Get Me", and I heard of one woman who connects with God over "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. It can be whatever lights up your heart for your Love, whatever resonates about your relationship with Him, whatever strengthens you in Him. Above all, "DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus " Philippians 4:6-7; I highlight the first part because God sees you're going through this; He has you by the hand and will lead you and work with you through this. Dear MissMoo, I’m an Anglican priest and even though that is my role, like you, I can read the Bible and it tends to drift straight out of my head! Perhaps we all have different ways of making ourselves open to God, and sometimes just letting go, being quiet WITH God and Jesus may be how you are called to be with him. Try not to fret - you know you are loved and you know you are trying to follow. Perhaps that is enough. Many blessings
Perhaps these are only my thoughts but when you said you "gave your life to Jesus" did you repent of all your sins first? Repentance is a necessary first step. You have to confess your sins to God the Father and agree with Him that what you have been doing is wrong according to His commandments, Repentance means turning from those sins/wrongdoings and living your life according to how God has commanded us to live. We must confess our sins, repent and renounce every work of darkness that we have participated in, and resolve to live God's way with God's help (the Holy Spirit will help you). I would suggest that you confess all known sins and also ask for forgiveness for any unknown sins. Ask God the Father to cleanse you afresh. Thank Him for sending His Only Begotten Son Yeshua to die in your place, as your atoning sacrifice. After He has cleansed you, ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. If you haven't been water baptized, then you can fill your own bath at home and immerse yourself into the name of Yeshua (His correct Hebrew name). We have to be buried with Yeshua in His death in order to be raised in newness of life. All the early Apostles baptized people into the name of Yeshua the Messiah (Acts 2:37; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5; 22:16). After you have confessed every sin that you have committed, ask God the Father to bring to your remembrance anything that you have forgotten or that has been missed. You have to renounce and forsake all the works of darkness for the demons to leave. If you feel you may need deliverance, then try and find a deliverance ministry in your area. I would recommend playing an audio Bible in the background 24/7. You can buy audio Bible CD's for your car second-hand on Amazon or there are audio recordings right here on YT. I recommend David Suchet (NIV) or Christopher Glyn (NIV). We renew our minds by listening to the Bible. God will also write His Law on our hearts and in our minds. Pray before you play the audio Bible. Ask God the Father to help your mind and heart soak it up like a sponge (this is what I actually pray daily and I've been walking with the Lord for over 55 years). Ask Him to transform your mind and give you the mind of Christ. Ask Him to help you hide His word in your heart that you may not sin against Him.
I've given the above advice to many people over the years, people who confess to being Christians but who do not walk in the Spirit nor have received the Baptism in the Spirit. They have usually been into some form of occultic practice (tarot cards, crystals, tea leaves, ouija board, dungeons and dragons, etc.) or have used mind altering drugs. Some of them have been Freemasons or Spiritualists or members of cults or eastern religions or heavily into yoga or astral projection. After following my advice about confessing, repenting, renouncing and forsaking all the works of darkness, many have been set free and now walk in victory.
I would recommend watching Derek Prince's teachings here on CZcams. Ask the LORD to show you which videos to watch, then follow Derek's instructions at the end of each video.
I hope you will find my advice and experience helpful. If you know of any mature Christians in your area that you can discuss these things with, then I recommend that you do this too. God bless you sister and I will be praying for you.

But I want you to know something. Keep seeking Him and don't give up. We are healed by Jesus stripes and we are set free by hearing His word (I mention this b/c there is such a thing as spirits of infirmity - Luke 13). He wants to heal & set us free - the Word literally says He came to do that. But you have to do your part and diligently seek Him in faith. If you cannot muster enough faith, then reading His word more, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Listen in audiobook format if necessary (though I prefer NKJV, the channel God's Able has an NIV version that's great to listen to). And pray without ceasing, as literally as possible. If you're already doing all these things then increase submission to Him.

There may b consequences we have to bear bcoz of our sinful ( ie leaving Jesus out of the centre)behaviour. but that is very different to paying for them. We get to walk with Jesus all the time

I had a prophetic dream as soon as I started walking with Christ Jesus. In the dream I was watching television with my mother and the news was broadcast that all countries were converting to Christianity around the world. I saw Indian women in a church dressed in beautiful blue dresses and singing praises in Latin. In this church there was a sculpture of a rose bush made of blue crystals and gold. The architecture of this sculpture was heavenly, as something like this is not possible on earth. The gold was pure and the shine of the crystal was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. This rose bush was the holy spirit! Jesus is coming back for all nations

The way she explained how you empty yourself in yoga which leads to open portals to different realms so demonic spirits would come and fill you, is so true. I used to also do meditation and yoga for years and I did experience demonic attacks. As a Catholic girl living In Canada years ago I went to yoga ( stretching classes only ) and I have to admit that I was feeling weird the whole time and I didnot know why … then I started a new job with this amazing Christian dentist he explained to me what yoga is and told me to stop going . I stopped right away and asked the lord to forgive me . Yoga issss dangerous
An osteopath told me I needed to take up yoga. She recommended a class which I attended. I felt depressed in the session and then exhausted and drained afterwards. I tried a different type of yoga somewhere else and felt depressed there. The first tutor had been pleasant but the second one and the osteopath were bossy I stopped going to yoga and the osteopath too.

Catholocism is dangerous as well. No doubt about it. Catholicism is very different from Christianity as Jesus and the apostles had taught.

What does YOGA means "unity" with what? To see all life as yourself. 🌹Yoga (from the original source) was design to help people from depression and to stay away from it. Unlike People who is going church not to love Jesus but to scream while praying sound more crazy too me?
Yoga means yoke- who are you yoking to? Not Jesus. Yoga to a Hindu is like baptism to a Christian! Yoga is very spiritual in nature.
Please don’t stop praying! That is what you do. Pray that your child has no interest, falls a sleep, etc. Let your husband know you are uncomfortable with this and that you don’t agree. Whatever you do, do not stop praying! Paul said pray without ceasing.
