    Thank you for this video Derek. I've been struggling for 6 years now to find what programming career to pursue. I've been jumping from one programming language to another. This feels like the right stuff for me. Truth is i just like working with numbers, statistics, probability, predicting prices or other numeric results and optimization. No matter in what language. Thank you again.

    so many books :) how many of these have you read? just curious

    • @derekbanas
      @derekbanas  Před 2 lety +2

      I've basically been reading nonstop since I was a little kid because I didn't have a TV or any other form of entertainment. Many of my tutorials come from reading 400+ page books and converting them into 1+ hour videos. Aside from technical books I also read non-fiction (My Favorite is The Brief History of Nearly Everything) and fiction. In the last few years I started reading all the classic books, or at least I tried to. My favorite was probably 1984, but Into the Wild and Animal Farm were also very good. I'm currently reading 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. My favorite fiction book series is either His Dark Materials or The King Killer Trilogy

    • @sonofbadbill9501
      @sonofbadbill9501 Před rokem

      @@derekbanas FYI, the non-fiction book that always springs to my mind when asked is "Nathaniel's Nutmeg". although ive probably forgotten a lot from it, i still use some of the facts from it to entertain. The fact that i always site it to me means it must be good lol.

      Indeed -- it might have been a nice idea to kick off by pointing viewers at some introductory material on what the heck TensorFlow is. 🤪 I googled the thing: it's apparently a Python library for building neural networks.

    • @derekbanas
      @derekbanas  Před 2 lety +6

      It is part one of a deep dive into machine learning with TensorFlow. It will probably take me 6 videos or more to cover everything. Sorry for not making that clear

    • @TheJackal917
      @TheJackal917 Před 2 lety +1

      I literally screamed. Seriously. This requires like PhD in computer science and no less 10 years academic experience to understand. Dayum.

    • @derekbanas
      @derekbanas  Před 2 lety +2

      It is actually pretty straight forward. If you know Python and ask questions I'm pretty certain anyone can learn to understand machine learning at a deep level.

      Sentdex is a channel about machine learning, and teaches machine learning from scratch. Maybe give that channel a go.
