Best way to measure mileage is by filling full tank petrol , driving for 50 or 100 kms and again fill full tank petrol , divide kms driven by amount of fuel filled... I always use this method for finding out mileage of any Vehicle.

Tata..Tata..aur karo. Apne desh ke condition ke hisaab se Mileage low hona ek bhut bada issue hain, jo ki tata ki gaadiyon mein paya jaa rha hain. Sirf tank bana dene se nhi hota, indian conditions pe mileage bhut matter karta hain.
@@rahulprasad3310 Lmao...Altroz gives more mileage than Baleno if the driver is good enough. That's why Tata vehicles are operating on 3 cylinders instead of 4,just for better mileage. Don't talk like an illiterate person.

Good enough dear, but wait it is clear that majority of owners in India are experiencing mileage issues in Tata vehicles. We can find hundreds of videos regarding this thing. Owners r very happy but one problem is common for majority of them i.e. related to mileage. Technically also anyone hardly cares about 3 or 4 cylinders. What people actually want is the practical mileage of a vehicle....thats it. By the way , ARAI figures of baleno r better than altroz.😀

Jb bhi aap log nai Trip pr jaao to TRIP B ko Reset kr liya karo. Trip B aap ko current ka Mileage bata degi or TRIP A ko RESET mat karo es se overall kya Mileage nikal rahi h wo pata chalti rahegi. 1500-2000 km k baad esko b chaho to Reset kr liya kro.
I drove exactly the way you suggested and recieved a mileage of 23.9. Almost 24kmpl. Also even i have Altroz XZ. But in Avenue white colour. Thanks to you. @Tarun Shandilya

How does resetting the trip meter improves mileage? It may display satisfactory number on MID but not in real world right?

Mera trip meter reset hai...mai signals me engine off bhi kr deta hu..bt bumbper to bumper me mujhe 12 se upr milta hi nhi

Bought Tata Altroz DCA 2 months back, in Bengaluru City traffic with AC on, im getting 8-9kms per litre.
Till now i drive close to 600km, only in the city and first service done a week back. Will get proper mileage, if i drive on highways, as in city traffic the max speed i can go is 40kmph in bumper to bumper traffic.
Planning to buy tata altroz xz in next month. Your videos are very very useful. Thanks a lot!!!! I think my choice would be right to go for altroz
1.2 petrol engine non turbo driven 1400 km on mountains in Uttarakhand. Now getting a mileage of 15.5 and still increasing.

No matter how careful and professional u drive it gives 8 -10 in bumper to bumper traffic.when road is clear and light traffic it gives 16 and it highways at 80 to 100 speed and cruise control it gives 18 to 20 mileage

Bhai me Highway pe 19-20-21 ki Avg nikal leta hu , City me thoda uper niche ho jata he Sometimes 11 , 14-15 tak bi aati he
It will happen if u reset the trip its usual. .that doesn't mean you will get good mileage

Mai to clutch me hi chala raha hu. Inertia ka use karte hue. I try to keep rpm always under 1000
My Tata Altroz has a special problem. After driving when the vehicle is parked for 4 to 5 hours, some 1 litre petrol is lost. To check my mileage I drove my car to nearest petrol pump which is 1.2 km from my house and full tanked it neck to neck. Drove back and parked it. Next day again took to same petrol pump. It consumed 1.1 litre of petrol. I repeated it for one week and each day it consumed average 1.2 litre of petrol. Next week I drove to same petrol pump but dint fill petrol came back and parked it. Repeated this for the whole week and after end of the week i.e after 7 trips I full tanked it neck to neck and it consumed approx 8 litre of petrol. When going for long drive(100km) with one halt getting 14kmpl mileage. It seems when engine cools down some 1 litre petrol is lost. Other Altroz owners can you please check if you have this kind of issue. Service centre has no answer for this, I showed them also.

One more issue sir... While shifting Altroz on reverse gear it makes sound... Vice versa... Pls suggest....
sound in reverse gear is normal.
That's sound due to new break pad friction and rusting due to rainy season
Nothing to worry
Apply 3secs rule( shift gear after pressing the cluch for 3secs). There will b no sound.
Could someone summarise briefly the points said in this video? Being a non hindi speaker, finding is hard to get the key points. Subs for the video would be of great help too
@Jaigopal I tried to demonstrate why some Altroz owners are facing low mileage and tried to tell the thing to follow for good mileage. Key points are below:
1. Reset trip meter every time before starting the new trip, never let the multiple trips to sum up in trip meter as mileage would be shown less in mid. Reason behind this is ecu of car drops mileage in mid when car engine is start but car is not moving, so car would show low mileage as car has to cover up this low mileage if trip meter is not reset.
2. Apply light foot on accelerator and change the gears at 2k rpm.

You have two buttons mode and reset near speedometer. Tap on mode for Trip A or Trip B then press reset button for 2-3seconds. It will reset to zero

Fir bhi low mileage problem hai 15.5 ka millage de rahi hai.
Other than Maruti cars will get less than 10 mileage, no matter how many times you reset metre.
than try changing your driving bro cos if you are getting less than 10kmpl mileage, than something is seriously wrong with your mileage.

Sir what mode of AC should i use to defog my windshield glass i mean i have swift 2009 model and thinking to buy this beauty+beast but i have a question in my mind what mode do we use to defog windshield glass heater mode or cooler mode ? Bro i have XT Petrol.. Purchased it in Feb.20. Around 11000 km i have been driven. Highway Milage in plain area with AC 19-20.. In City 17-18.
In Hilly area..like Himachal 14-15.
All are in good.. Except Gear Box... Shifting in 3rd gear stuck all the time. But you will get used of it. Its a minor issue... But be attentive during gear shifting...in lower 1-2-3.
All issue will get aside, when we do preference in the safety and strong built quality. Attractive design.. Best in class in the segment.
But in Nexon, I heard Turbo opens only after 2.5 Rpm. So should we give up turbo power?
if you want power, give up mileage, if you want mileage, give up power.
Nexon turbo tarts at 1750 rom not 2500 rpn

टाटा की कारें सस्ती ,सुरक्षित और ज्यादा फ़ीचर वाली होती है,जरूरत है कि दूसरी कारों से तुलना करें और फर्क देखें ,किसी के कहने से ही न कोई कार लेलें, सब ऑटो एक्सपर्ट नही होते खुद वेबसाइट में जाकर तुलना करो।
Tata cars are cheaper, safer and more feature, need to compare with other cars and see the difference, do not take a car at the behest of anyone, not all auto experts are going to the website and compare yourself.
I have purchased Tata Altroz petrol Manual base model in the month of October 22. But mlieage is very poor 9.8 to 11 in Kolkata city and high way 15- 17. I have watched your vdo.

A vehicle should have speed of 80-90 kmph minimum that too for around 2000 - 2200rpm... 60-70 kmph is too low speed for highways hence not practical to drive on this speed.

Meri Altroz v 8-10 ka average dikhati hai MID me. 3800KM chali hai aur mostly city me hi chalti hai. Mai trip meter reset kar k v dekh chuka hu, koi improvement nahi dikha. Clutch kam use karta hu, idling me v nahi rehti gaadi. Koi mechanical/manufacturing defect ki possibility hai kya?

sir, i would like to suggest u in the nxt service use castrol start stop or castrol edge. coz in my 4th service i use castrol start stop it has change the performance of my car.

Just go to the trip A or B whatever u want to reset and then click on the centre button that is present on the same arrow ( right side ) where u were able to navigate and then display says do u want to reset and then again hit the same button

Trip meter reset karne se MID thik se calculate hoga yeah pura galat hai. Main Maruti suzuki S cross chalaya 2lakh km is main aisa problem nahi hai. Is car ka milage kam hai. Or 50/60 thousand km chalane ki bad MID thik se report nahi deta

Very well contended video, Tarun bhai. I used to follow the same method and I am also getting the mileage of 20+ kmpl on the highways and 14-15 kmpl in the city. Just use appropriate gear and you are there !

My altroz gives 10 kph under city mode and 11-12 in eco mode. I've driven about 4000 kms and one service completed. But no significant increase in mileage. Can someone explain or suggest.

Tarun bhai... Thanks for all your efforts. I am facing an issue with engine start. The battery indication stays on and engine doesn't start. The indication goes away if I try to start the engine after some time. This issue doesn't show up when I start my car initially but it only shows up when I run the vehicle for sometime. I have complained to the service center but the issue is still not resolved. The problem doesn't occur very often but whenever it happens either I am in the middle of traffic or in a crowded place. Do you have any suggestion ? I can share the video of the issue to your email account if you would like to have a look.

If service centre unable to resolve, file complaint with tata customer care in writing. They are extremely careful as I learnt from personal experience
Pls suggest on AC sound and on vibrations at lower speed... One last about ABS also..

I reset my Trip A then result 17.1
But i was not reset my Trip B after that result 12.00
