- After nearly 8 months of waiting, John Hennessey's 2023 Dodge SRT Demon 170 has finally arrived at Hennessey Performance. The Demon 170 is the most performance-crazy and highest-horsepower production car from MOPAR.
Tune in for a complete review as we look at this sinister Demon 170's powertrain, exterior, and interior. John's car arrived just a couple days ago, so all factory plastic and packaging were intentionally left on the car for this video. We could not be more excited to have such a rare and perfect example of the last supercharged, RWD, V8 Dodge muscle cars in our hands. Carbon wheels are waste of big money for a tenth of a second or two. And most shops arnt gonna want to touch them.
The stage kits will shave more off your time at fraction of the cost.
I've seen a new rt v8 automatic challenger for 30,000. Only 20,000 miles on it. I think that's great. I prefer a manual though and those are rare to find for some reason.

Amazing car love the color that purple is by far the best color ive seen in the 170. I just dont like the flares only in the back if the car also had the front flares I know its supposed to look old school but just my taste.
Still gets better mileage than my 05 Ram (10.4 avg)

Demon 170 refers to the fact that the car makes full power on E85 - which is 170-proof ethanol.

The last V-8, Supercharged, Hemi, Challenger ever made. That is pretty specific. All these car companies keep talking about "the last" when it comes to powerful ICE motor powered vehicles. I doubt that most of us Baby-Boomers or Gen-Xers will live to see when "the actual last" comes off the line.

I was waiting for you to take down the quarter mile in stock form . what the hell you have a dragstrip at your facility. Don't believe it will run a 8.9 unless the strip has been professionally prepped, and under perfect conditions. I bet it it took 40 or more runs under those conditions to achieve the 8.9. My guess mid 9's. for a good driver. mid 10's or worse if you cant drive on the average track. How much over sticker did he pay for it.
Needs break in before some drag features are available. Several entirely stock cars already low 9s. One with a trans tune (letting car run another 100 or 200rpm), front skinnies and I do not believe anything else ran a 8.94 @ 150 or 151 in worse atmospheric conditions. These turn better numbers than the OG Demon, and I believe a 8.9s @ 150 will be ran in entirely stock form.

Lol the cars have already been 9.3, 9.2, and 9.1 completely stock in customer hands as well as 5.70s in the 1/8th. Ron Silva went 8.9x with a tire swap. Another guy went well into the 8.90s on stock tires. Only thing done was a trans tune to raise rpm and shift smoother. This car will easily run low 9s all day. 8.9 with good DA

Definitely not the most beautiful. Redeye looks way better. It’s got what looks like flat black plastic for hood decals and silly drag tires on the front and unsymmetrical With missing front flares. 1000+ horsepower almost makes up for that though.
