Little punk drives truck into Restaurant after his phone gets smashed ( Temple Hills, MD ) TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (7News) - Video being widely shared on social media captures an enraged man trashing the counter at the NY Chicken and Grill on Branch Avenue in Temple Hills until a restaurant worker fights back chasing him outside.
A second video shows the man ramming the store in a tow truck. It all happened at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The damage done is visible. A boarded up hole in the front of the restaurant. A man at the restaurant, in fear for his own safety, not wanting to be identified, told 7News he’s furious.
“Its just absurd what happened you know something like this should not happen. Come in, get your food and go home and enjoy your food that’s it,” he said. “I just want this guy arrested, you know, he has to pay for what he’s done.”
The man says the attacker came in at closing time. He ordered chicken and waffles. He was served but then demanded wings. When the restaurant manager said it was too late to cook wings the man became enraged and attacked.
“His behavior is just mind boggling you know,” said the man at the restaurant. He said the restaurant worker fought back to protect the staff and other customers.
“We can’t let people get away with these kind of stuff," the man added.
Prince George’s Police are now reviewing store security video and trying to the attacker and the tow truck.

This happened on Tuesday, April 4, around 1:30 a.m., in Hillcrest Heights. The guy was caught. The truck he was driving is from a company which was out of business and cops dont even know where he got it from (it wasnt registered as stolen). He was charged with reckless endangerment, assault, malicious destruction of property, assault with a deadly weapon and DA is pushing for attempted murder since he was trying to run someone over with the truck.

This is what happens when people get away with acting like bratty kids most of their lives. Sometimes, no one is a good answer, and not always getting your way shows that you're a functional adult who can live without it if necessary. I really wish there's a way that the people working at these restaurants and stores could defend themselves from douchenozzles like this and not worry about being on the chopping block.

I've worked in retail as a manager over 18 years, and people just keep getting worse. I've had to reject people because they wanted to refund something that they ate, used up, brought an empty package/ wrong item in package, or something from a different store. I've been spit on, had drinks and other things thrown at me, threatened with weapons, stalked in the parking lot, phone calls made to the store to threaten me, they walk down aisles and destroy the store. It doesn't stop. I've definitely fought people physically, with and without my employees. Sometimes it's necessary, and if corporate finds out you get fired. But if someone tries to physically hurt me, my employees or customers? I'm defending everybody. There are A LOT of mentally disturbed people out there!

People need to learn to act like adults. My favorite is always "we don't have X" so their response is to bitch about it. I cancelled a customer's order and banned him. He was always a problem but he literally told me to shove the sauce cups he ordered up my ass because he didn't wanna pay for them. Then had the audacity to call back and ask if he's still getting his order. He tried to argue with my gm the next day, and in the most professional way possible, he got the guy to confess to what he said and would only take him back if I accepted his apology. I flat out told him no because he was always rude and a problem.

I’m that same size (but lighter) and I had good parents, so even as an only child, they went out of their way not to spoil me at all, and even though I was mad when all the spoiled rich kids I knew got their cars paid for the day they got their license, I’m so much better off now as a human being for it, even if I suffered some concrete disadvantages because of it, the spiritual and emotional guidance from being forced to work things out for myself and improve my work ethic and way of approaching difficult challenges in life outweighs it all, I wouldn’t change a thing, I’m glad I didn’t end up like this guy.

Several courts in different states have ruled that throwing boiling water/oil on someone isnt attempted murder but rather assult w/intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Batonning someone over the head multiple times constitutes attempted murder in most cases(blows to the head with objects are taken rather seriously).
If charges were to be pressed, throwing the oil *might* actually get you less time.
But given that it can all be spun as self defense, I doubt anyone will be getting charged with anything.

Deterrence through long sentences doesn't work for shit, much less drug-related offenses or brain damage. This has been proven over and over again. It's one of the reasons why the US has an absolutely insane level of incarceration. So, this dude certainly needs to get locked away, be it in a psych ward or pison. But in general, harsh sentences lead to lots more problems than they solve.

And that guy gets full punishment for his actions because holy hellll that is insane. Where I worked we had an emergency button to call the police I hope they had something similar... The amount of times someone almost jumped over the counter or threatened me were numerous and me im 5'4' 😅 so i was mostly like hey ill see what i can do sir/madame. Most of the time was either A free Pizza or B refund/discount. We barely had drivers sooo when people had to come pick their stuff up oooooo they were very nasty 😅 or when a homeless person/drugies came in eeek...
