I went through a huge weight loss while also job hunting many years ago. My friend told me to go to the Goodwill in the Ritzy part of town. Found pants and suit jackets that only fit for 2 weeks but they got me through those 2 weeks (and several interviews) and were maybe $3 each? And when they were too big, I donated them. :)

My kinesthetic awareness was off for a couple of years after I released 120 lbs back to the Universe. Where I would sit, how far from a table, etc. - I was so screwed up for a while. However, I've maintained my weight release for 8 years now, and I know I'll never go back. Now, I know where I'm at in the world again, and I trust myself that I'll honor my healthy body by taking excellent care of myself.

i will tell you what my weight loss surgeon told me ( 4 years ago , pre WFPB eating ) you need to be at a stable weight , as in not losing anymore, for at least 18 months to really KNOW how your skin will react, said people tended rush into skin repair / removal post weight loss...so much comes into play genetics, healthy diet 😁, hydration levels etc...
thanks for all you share, you guys are a big inspiration, i dont have a lot of weight left to lose but i do have some health issues that have massively improved from applying what I have learned from you...and hubby has even joined me in this new way of eating! he really enjoys your videos too 💜

That sounds about right. The skin is fairly elastic, and will sometimes tighten up over time. For example, Penn J right when losing the weight, and Penn a year or two after that loss look much different in the face. Less "turkey neck" because the skin followed suit after a while.

I am in my weight loss journey as well. I am living abroad in Vietnam. I am under the care of my kung fu brother, who is a traditional vietnamese medicine doctor, and he is teaching me qigong and pushing hands (taiji tuisho). He said that qigong will shrink my loose skin. We are documenting this to prove whether it does or doesn't work. I can already see my skin tightening. I will keep you informed about how qigong and pushing hands effects my loose skin. I am a very tall woman and am Brian's current size. I think that the qigong will work, based on what I have seen in the martial arts world.

Great video guys! I'm on the maintain end of my weight loss journey and have encountered most of these myself. I was 380 at my highest and now am at 180 over the course of 10 years. 1. I'm still always cold, everyone makes fun of me for it. 2 I added running after the weight loss and have gained a lot of my muscle back in my lower half. I can proudly say that bony butt syndrome can be cured with muscle growth. 3. My kinesthetic awareness was always in relation to me in a crowd of people or tight spaces with people. That did go away with the years and now I don't have a phantom body mass screwing with my awareness. BTW I really enjoy the collab between the entire WFPB videos, feels a lot like the Avengers lol.

-"new"clothes: get hand-me-downs from family/friends, or thrift when you can or alter the size of the stuff you already have (tutorials online for it).
-hormonal/periods: I've lost my period for a good length of time twice in my "diet" journey.
First time was on a high carb, low fat diet without calorie restriction, second time was on a lower carb, higher fat diet with calorie restriction.
Neither of those diets really work for me when it comes to well being.
In the first diet it was the low fat that was the culprit, in the second one it was the calorie restriction that was the culprit.
I don't do those things and now things are great.

My husband and I started eating WFPB and SOS free almost 6 months ago. We are in our 70’s and have both lost weight easily and steadily. We have experienced some of these negatives, but the positives are life saving. My husband has Afib and his cardiologist has taken him off of 4 heart meds this week. He, the doctor, kept asking us, well what do you eat and where do you get your protein. I was laughing inside. Doctors are just not all trained in nutrition. Both of us are off of all cholesterol and blood pressure meds, and the energy we have both gained is so wonderful. My husband doesn’t exercise at all and I walk 3 and a half miles 6 days a week, so if you can’t exercise this works anyway. I only wish I had known about the health advantages to this years ago. Never too late to start though.

Thank you Jessica and Brian, for being so honest about these things. It make it more natural to have these “luxury problems”. About the farting, after being plant-based for about 8 years now, we have noticed that we only fart when adding sweet stuff down on top of beans, raw veggies etc. too early after eating. My husband is a sweets person whereas I have never been into sweet stuff and I almost never fart. We made some tests and found that eating something sweet within two hours of eating “farty products”, you get gas. It is like the sweetener starts a fermenting process in your stomach. If you wait a bit, the sugar does not start fermenting and you don’t fart as much. So now, we try to save the “sweet dessert” for later instead of right after dinner.
We love your videos and admire your will power and then you have humour ... without humour life is boring! Love you guys 😘🤗

@@Equinox1.5 This is true. And always only eat juicy fruit on an empty stomach (bannanas are not a juicy fruit, they are a condensed fruit). This works best if eaten in the morning for the first meal of the day, and give it at least 1/2 hr before you eat anything else in order to give your stomach enough time to digest the fruit, before eating anything that isn't a juicy fruit, as your stomach will be empty then.

    • @Equinox1.5
      @Equinox1.5 Před 4 lety

@@brenda9140 Exactly. I only eat juicy fruit on an empty stomach, otherwise I'm in trouble. Bananas are different for me. I can usually eat those after meals because they are more starchy than watery and don't seem to ferment in the same way as, say, a peach.

When after losing weight it was easier to glide through passageways, now after putting on some of the weight the passageways are tighter and I have hit my shoulder walking through them. So many relatable things in this episode! I once lost 30 lbs and was running. Best health and shape I had been in and a few people asked if I had cancer! They were used to seeing me heavier. Jessica, You should totally get your hair colored and updated. I think you would feel so much better after doing it, think of it as a reward for losing all the weight. I dyed the gray out of my hair and purchased brighter color shirts after losing 40 pounds. Dark colors are a go to for fat people.
I have lost 70 pounds doing a plant base diet starting 4/1/19. Your channel was one of the inspirations for my success. For anyone thinking of switching over to plant base, this is my top things to do.
    1. Watch the movie "what the health".
    2. Buy an air fryer.
    3. Watch the many CZcams channels for cooking using the air fryer and eating plant base.
    4. Costco's is my "go to" for plant base foods.
Key note from my experience, once you make three weeks of only eating plant base after transitioning you will feel so much better. After a two months of eating right, my blood pressure dropped down to normal and I got off my blood pressure medication. I was still fat but my blood pressure dropped to normal. I'm still losing weight, I weighted 280 pounds today. I cannot wait until i'm in the 270's's then the 260"s, it's slower now but still happening.

In the past year, I have lost 60 lb switching to WFPB and had lost about 25 over the two years prior to that. You guys were the main inspiration to make me switch and stick to a healthy lifestyle. I have experienced just about all of these except loss of muscle. I did add exercise after the first 3 months of switching to WFPB. At first, I thought I wouldn't worry about the loose skin, but the excess skin on my stomach actually pulls on other areas when I cough or sneeze causing pain. I may have to consider skin removal surgery even though I don't want to go under the knife. Also, being cold all the time is so annoying! I used to be the one freezing everyone out of my office and home. Now they are all freezing me out!!
On another note, a suggested video came up for me call "Krocks in the Kitchen Inspired Us to Come Back to CZcams" by a channel called Cuban Vegan Life. Apparently they attempted a vegan lifestyle a couple of years ago but didn't stick to it. They are now trying again. Maybe you guys and some of us followers could go over and support them!
