Police raid Columbia University building and arrest pro-Palestine student protesters

- More than 200 pro-Palestine protesters at Columbia University in New York were arrested on Tuesday evening after police raided the Hamilton Hall building. Students had occupied the campus building in protest and renamed it to Hind’s Hall, after 6-year-old Hind Rajab who was killed by Israel in Gaza in January.
The protests at Columbia University have inspired similar protests across the US and other parts of the world, with students demanding their universities to divest from companies that are involved in aiding Israel’s war on Gaza and its occupation of Palestine.
