About the track:
For his 1968 television special, Elvis Presley reunited with Scotty Moore and D.J. Fontana, his first backing musicians, for a raw “sit-down” performance of his earliest and most favorite songs, including his very first single, “That’s All Right.” Though it did not feature in the original broadcast, you can experience every moment from the taping on ’68 Comeback Special: 50th Anniversary Edition, the new 5CD/2BD box set available November 30.

The 68 Comeback Special will still stand up against any music out today. No smoke or flashing lights, just Elvis and the guys jamming out and playing good music. Awesome!
You are SO RIGHT. His music, voice and production is all so fresh. Thank you.
Whose here after watching the elvis movie? 🙋♂️🎤
i am, i watched it yesterday
見ました!!そしてここに来ました‼️
Me
Me!! Seen the movie 4 times 🤣🤣
✌🏼
Anyone 2024,
I’m here and this is 11 years before my time when this happened. Elvis rules.
daddy bought me a record of the 50 best songs of Elvis when I was 9 years old ,so I listened to Elvis for 41 years ❤
THIS is the way Elvis should be remembered
I also like lean jumpsuit Elvis
He should be remembered anyway you do ;)
I'll always remember him as beautiful inside and out 💕
@@j.c.nightwalker5322 right
I agree honey 100percent whether U believe it or not it's pretty factually now and forever Amen.
I'm not gay but I have to admit: Elvis was a very handsome man.
You don't have to be gay hands down this is the most BEAUTIFUL HANDSOME MAN I just LOVE him so much..... I think he was just SEXY❤❤❤❤
Attention MSM: stop showing the later Elvis years and picture THIS Elvis. The one we should remember, young and beautiful. He deserves it.
Right... I cant even watch the movie all the way thru just because I can't stand how they did him.. my soul literally won't let me I fall asleep every time I watch it..
Only one Elvis Presley ❤
Scotland with love
my hero, or our hero . . .
I've not been able to get this song out of my head since watching the Elvis movie. What a performer and also a huge credit to Austin Butler for his performance as Elvis.
I just saw it a couple days ago. I must say it was so unique and amazing. I’ve seen every movie and documentary about him so I didn’t think I would see anything new. Boy was I wrong. I told my kids who are 20 and 23 even if your not an Elvis fan and don’t care for his music you should see it. You will love it. I also was so interested in the super hero theme so to speak in the movie. In a way he was like a superhero.
Huge credit to the person he stole this from 🧐
@@spokentruth5909 he didnt steal it lol, he just remastered it :))
bro frr this song is catchy af
@@spokentruth5909 I don't think he ever hid that his music wasn't original. (Though he did change a few lyrics). He gave songs a different style and was praised for doing so plus he had a great voice. Also it was 1954 when he originally made this and America/Society was racist af.
Of course every song ever released since 1954 in the music business has been an original work of art 🙄
Thank you and good day sir.
That was the first Elvis record I ever bought. I still love it, but it's even more special seeing him as he sings and plays the guitar. I met him in 1956 when he was performing at the Olympia Theatre. The evil Tom Parker had told me, my cousin and my sister that we would be able to meet Elvis, because we were members of his fan club, but when we got to the theatre, he said we couldn't. That's when I saw Red West and told him what happened. He said, "You girls come with me." He then took us to Elvis' dressing room and we got to meet him and get his autographs. We were there for quite awhile and were thrilled to spend time with the "king".
I don't care what you say Elvis knew his way around a guitar.
The fact he was only 33 here is baffling now that I’m 37. He was always portrayed as a middle aged flop in his “later years” but he literally only died in his early 40’s. What a gorgeous fucking man.
Rescue me ALMIGHTY ELVIS
Rock and Roll 💯
68comeback special is amazing 🎉
The 👑 and the 🐐.
The voice, the voice the voice, did I mention his voice, unworldly
a must watch Movie ELVIS...
I was 25 and got so lucky to see his comeback concert LIVE. Thrills me to this very day. One of a kind. The King lives on ...his spirit fills us with passion and hope.
How close were you to the stage?
That's amazing! How lucky were you! 😊
Bullshit!!!
@@christineoneal666 he wasn't there....
Te envidio
Elvis is and always will be a TIMELESS blessing to the world... His voice certainly impacts me in ways like no other.... I live my life as a simple man very complex character ... It's a gemini thing... REGUARDLESS of my hills and valleys that are my moods.. Elvis just impacts me the same CONSISTANTLY... In every great way... I love that man. ❤
Austin Butler made me a fan of this legend... it's OFFICIAL!!!
My new favourite Elvis song!
Let’s give a hand to Scotty Moore, who was providing those cool rockabilly guitar licks (sitting to Elvis’ left). Scotty Moore was a guitar GOD.

@@darionbob4828 always the bridesmaid never the bride love ya scotty moore.>>>>>RIP Ronnie Tutt::
I don't get much cooler than this man. Scotty on that big old Gibson
And I will say AMEN in loud, big capital letters! Scotty Moore inspired such guitar greats as Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, and Jimmy Page. That’s one hell of a guitar player tree right there…
I read somewhere that this was the last time Scotty saw Elvis or even spoke to him.
This was the very first unplugged. Elvis was way ahead of his time. And the greatest of all time.
Once a King always a King ❤😅 love you
Absolutely this is how Elvis should be remembered. A Young Man in his absolute prime. And when you have built a Legacy as big as Elvis’s you will always remain alive.
He was 33 here, not saying that isn't a young man but he was 19 when he signed at Sun Records
The ELVIS film is bringing all us new generation of Elvis Presley fans together!!! My parents grew up with his music back in the day and they passed it on to me. Austin Butler disappeared into Elvis Presley and he has to win a Best Actor Academy Award.
No matter how goog the young man might have been in the movie, NO ONE can ever really portray Elvis... He is unique, period._
Come back Elvis!
Yes!!!
95% of Elvis' work is timeless. It will sound as good 100 years from now.
I would save him if time travel was a thing, He was an outstanding person
@@CrossOfBayonne I vote we clone him when it becomes possible 🥰
Never gets old that's for sure
❤️
ALL his work his timeless.
Everything Elvis touched is gold.
Listening to this in honor of my grandma who just passed away on Tuesday. She was a huge Elvis fan. ❤
It's wonderful how music can bring back memories and feelings in us.
🌹
Elvis is still #1 in 2023. Amazing
That's right Elvis Presley was the king
My mama was a big fan of his but never knew why... 30 years later... I know why mama... This is real music
V4
Same story with grandma...
Love and peace from germany
good for you check out elvis country also memphis recordings also crying in the chapel oeace in the valley. or Blue River or heck its all good right up to moody blue good onya love the king
My momma let me hear elvis.and I knew then he was king.
I love Elvis Presley 20 year's now
Great another generation is experiencing The King
Reminds you just what a charismatic presence Elvis was. Austin Butler is a good-looking young man, but Elvis was stunning in a way I have never seen before or since. Good-looking does not do him justice.
Who's listening to this in 2022? 8-16-2022 This is SOOOO GOOOOOD (from Memphis, TN with Love!)
I'm on an Elvis YT trawl this week!
The King,
His comeback.
Long live the King.
This is the way I like to listen to him
Elvis Presley🕺The King 👑 of 🎸 Rock and Roll.
Semplicemente stupendo come il sole ☀️ un giorno d'estate che meraviglia di voce che meraviglia di sorriso grazie kin
That's why he's the King!
wow sorry I was late it’s 2022 and I just became a fan of Elvis
Elvis was such a huge talent... he was bigger than life itself! Colonel Snake didn't know what to do him... he kept him in a cage and ultimately that was Elvis demise. If only...
Well, so who is the king? the King is one and only, and this is Elvis.
he was only 33 here , such a beautiful man
Elvis is beyond perfect. Elvis didn't need a t shirt. Just a jacket. Cool beans brother, cool beans.
NOW THAT'S THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DONE ! THAT'S ALRIGHT MAMA - ELVIS PRESLEY .
Even though he has been gone hus presence is still felt❤
I love him. Actually every german loves elvis
I'm 17 and I'm a huge fan of Elvis! He has inspired me and I celebrate his legacy every day!
Would you like to start a rockabilly band? :)
I'm 33. I listen to Metallica, Slayer and Elvis. Lol.
I'm 26. My religion is actually Bob Dylan and his folk revival, but I love Elvis too.
I am a longtime Elvis fan and props for digging him while you are young, it will give you more listening time!
@@metpach you have BOSS taste. Those are great!
The Elvis movie was amazing...........
No Auto tune ...No lip syncing....Pure talent ❤
lip sync, auto tune and playback are for ordinary talentless people and stupid nerds.
I’m having impure thoughts, good loooord! 🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣
Elvis forever. The raw talent will never be duplicated in history.
He's in charge of the music in heaven. Thank God
The birth of MTV Unplugged
Elvis is the best lookin guy EVER born!!!
Agree. He was downright gorgeous.
Yes omg he was a MAN with all the letters
No doubt about it!
“Come here, baby” - I never thought I could ever be jealous of a microphone.

Still young and feelin' the juice... this version of Elvis is the genuine article.
Extremely handsome young man ❤
That man could sing anything! And hands down the best darn looking man ever to grace this earth! He had it all. 🤩
Ive never seen another human that has a gift like this.....when he's in a room, a video, movie whatever, all you can do is look at him.
uy
The KING would be 88 today. Jan 8th. We still miss you Elvis
Elvis Will Forever Be The Hottest Man That Ever Lived! No Other Man Could Ever Top Him!

Raw talent personified. There'll never be another like Elvis.

Greatest of all time
God crafted a special one in Elvis.
The song that started it all
I wish you could come back Elvis even just for a day. RIP Angel.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Elvis Unplugged. 25 years before it became fashionable.
This will forever be the coolest live performance of all time
I think Nirvanas unplugged session for MTV might just about top it.
@@cazb877 I love Nirvana and I love their performance, but Elvis is Elvis...
@@stevieb89 Fair comment 🔥🤣🤣
The Last Waltz is great too :)
I wish the whole special had been like this. Some of the outtakes for this part are around CZcams and are great as well.
Austin Butler did a hell of a job
King Elvis 🤴 😅
He looks so happy, really enjoying the music love. Witty man too. Great sense of humor.
7 years without concerts…come back and break the stage…He is still The King!
Unfortunately, "Colonel" Tom Parker's gambling wrecked the guy. Presley was ignorant of business, or he didn't want to deal with it, so he thought he needed Parker to get more work, as his albums weren't selling like they used to.
Gee!! he was gorgeous and talented of course!
This is amazing performance. Back to the 1968. 54years gap doesn't work.
God was hands on building & designing this guy for rock & roll, let's build a guy with incredible looks, great hair, perfect voice and loads of charisma, let's call him Elvis..
Yup, it's been said that God was showing off when he created Elvis...
The coolest man that ever lived 😎
True 👍👏🇿🇦
The originator of the UNPLUGGED format!
After Elvis Presley , it was everyone just trying to be another Elvis Presley.
My friend is potentially giving me his old guitar. Just like elvis's, I cannot wait to learn to play!! And surprise my mom who grew me up on elvis!
Ein super Sänger.Ein super Song.👏👏👏👏
How can someone be so handsome amazing voice wow 😍😍😍😍
I’m here after seeing Elvis in 1968 and twice in 1970. He was and is the greatest entertainer ever..
I have been listening Elvis songs since 2006
The King lives on!
💛 love love love
He's still the King and always will be. There will never EVER be another like him!
I am so happy the next generation is getting a glimpse of greatness from the past ❤️
I can't get any of his songs out of my head after watching the movie. That kid knocked it out of the park. I keep seeing Austin do that backward swing lean grinning in this special with the black leather jacket. I always knew there was a huge tragedy concerning Elvis, but was too young to understand. This movie discloses what happened to Elvis. I will live with the emotional trauma of knowing he had this kind of shyster in his life. Poor Elvis. He will be resurrected and sing again, no worries!!!
Elvis was incredible! He was good and kind to everyone around him. He took care of his family and always put forth an awesome performance. How many Elvis impersonators are still representing a legend after 46yrs?
The gospel music he sang was also legendary. During a concert everyone was yelling out calling him "the King", and he corrected the crowd and said "There is only one King, and that is Jesus Christ"
I was 7 old and I watched this with my mom and I watched a lot of his movies with mom I love her and miss her. Love ya Mom
My dad first heard this in Hannover in ‘56 when he was in the RAF at 18 years old
RIP Derek John Bowden ✌🏻
I can’t imagine what that must’ve been like hearing this in the mid 50s
@@larry8910 My dad said it was his eureka moment. I bought him a Elvis Sun Sessions cd when he was dying in ‘09, my mother phoned me up & told me he was listening to it with tears coming down his cheeks, he died 9 days later.
I just watched the movie, and I didn't know much about Elvis, but now he's gained another fan.
I just can’t... I mean it’s just too much.. this man is hands down the most ridiculously gorgeous man ever walk the Earth 😍😍. I mean just look at him.
You can’t what?
I'm a straight 53 year old man. I 100% agree. I just showed my 17 year old daughter this video and told her if I was going to be gay it would have been for Elvis! Just a great man inside and out. I vividly remember exactly where I was 8/16/77.
My favorite all time
his voice really got stronger with age
