Listen, it's very simple, this city loves their flyers, they love their Sixers, they love their Phillies, but the EAGLES are people's LIFE around here. We live, we breath, we die for this team, it means sooo soo much to us. When they did it, when they FINALLY won that game that we have been after for so long it seriosuly meant EVERYTHING to this city MORE THEN EVERYTHING. Philadelphia is my home even though I'm not from there its something about there that always makes me feel welcome. Philadelphia eagles are my team I've been rooting for them for a long time and knowing that the passion we bring to the team is something no one will take away from us. Philadelphia super bowl 52 was the goal all year long and we did it with everything that you thought we didn't have. Eagles we deserved this super bowl and we will never forget it.

Although it's true that negativity sells, Fans just love to talk Eagles,

Look at the energy, crowd, cheers, excitement at this years NFL draft,
that is unanimously called the best hosted draft Ever.
It was a 250,000+ party all week in Philly,
with Less laws broken than on any average week.
The Eagles sold out every game this century (with no help needed from local businesses buying up the remaining tickets like in a lot of cities.)
Eagles games sell right out.
There are 50k+ people on the waiting list for season tickets.
In Philly a couple yrs ago when 8' inches of snow fell during the game,
Over 60k fans were there until the end.
Anyone who doesn't think the Eagles have Great fans
is lying to themselves.

…my father took my brother & me to our first Eagles game @ Franklin Field vs. the Saints ( when they were in the SAME division ) ; I mention this only because it was like salt in a wound when New Orleans won a Super Bowl BEFORE the Eagles which was unthinkable. Decade after decade getting closer and closer to the trophy here in Philadelphia while there was a paper bag concession stand in New Orleans. My father died in 2016 knowing that the Saints won a Super Bowl while his beloved Eagles were just the ugly bridesmaids of the NFL.

Even though I now root for the Cleveland Cavaliers(largely due to LeBron), and have rooted for them since his first joining the team, I also hold a place in my heart for the Philadelphia 76ers.
When I was a kid of about 10, 11, 12... I rooted for the Sixers. At that time, Dr. J(yes, the great Julius Erving) was the star attraction of that team. I rooted for them back in the early 80s, when it seemed everyone else was pulling for either the Celtics or the Lakers.
In 1982, I had the privilege of seeing the Sixers beat Boston in Boston for that 6-game victory that led them to the 1982 finals against Los Angeles. However, the Lakers won in 6 games, and I wasn't too happy about that.
Flash forward another year, and the 76ers are back on the NBA Finals stage against the Lakers; this time... they also have Moses Malone, who they brought in from the Houston Rockets. Picking up from the prior season, the 76ers proceed to make short work of the Lakers, earning a 4-game sweep over Magic and Company, and earning Moses an MVP award.
However, looking recentrly in CZcams, you have to appreciate Billy Cunningham; he loved his men like they were his own flesh and blood. His kissing Moses Malone on the podium after their NBA title win shows that he and his players were like a family.
After years of seeing the Phillies(baseball), Flyers(hockey), and 76ers(basketball) winning numerous championship trophies... now it can finally be said, Philadelphia is indeed a city of champions. CONGRATS TO THE EAGLES!!!!

I saw some folks like that when I attended the parade. But, I MOSTLY saw my "family" from a joyous, neighborhood-focused, glorious City of Philadelphia celebrating like never before, and it was AWESOME!! DILLY DILLY my good friends!!!!

No question that, among all the major Philadelphia sports teams, the Eagles captain the city. A Super Bowl championship just brings about that extra special level of euphoria that other championships don't. When the Phillies won in 2008, the city celebrated, but it wasn't anywhere close to the level of the Eagles' Super Bowl win.
