Dude has some of the strongest hands in the NFL, and it never gets discussed on TV, but when you're at the games you can see what a beast of a blocker he is. Having him blocking down field with Blount and Ajayi is pretty potent.

philly played the pats game...against the pat perfectly. Philly's defense held back the first 3 quarters, going about 70 percent knowing that pats go for comebacks late third and all 4th. so while pats assumed philly was going to be gassed late in the stretch, philly hit the full throttle and just pressure after pressure, blitz after blitz and when you are getting pressured on the 9 yard line there isn't much you can do. I wanted pats to win, but definitely thought that was well deserved by the eagles and a great comeback story from nick foles. respect that was a good superbowl.

Oh boy this would make a huge Difference. They put Chung and Mccourty on the Slot guys and they got constantly open. Rowe was getting burned all night and tackling by the CB was trash (except Gilmore) Butler would make a huge difference, because Defense played really gd with him before this SB.

I think people lose track as to why we watch games in the first place. This is for Entertainment and as a Pats fan, even though they lost, that was one the greatest performances I have seen from our offense especially after losing Cooks. They showed heart all game on both sides of the ball, but were just outmatched on defense. Patricia did an amazing job all year with the young personnel he had to work with. Remember as fans, you aren't taking a ring or trophy home, so put things in perspective and tip your hats to the Eagles, for this was their year. And for other fans, as much as you hate the Patriots, respect the show they always put on in the Super Bowl. Classic games every time.

The Eagles had a total team effort. Pederson had guts. Foles was extremely accurate. Receivers and RBs made incredible plays. Kicker even made a couple of clutch FGs. And the strip sack ultimately decided it.
Nick Foles played an amazing game. Those 3rd down conversions were crucial. Good job Eagles. Let's get it next year Patriots.

The Eagles defense in the 2nd half wasn't 'awesome', but in the 1st half they played pretty well. As for the 'first defensive play' that Kellerman talks about, it wasn't the strip sack. 4th and 1 in the 2nd quarter in the redzone was a good defensive play by the Eagles. It forced the Patriots to kick the FG, which hit the upright.
The knockout hit on Cooks was a good defensive play by the Eagles, it took away the Patriots best receiver for the rest of the game. On that same drive, it was 4th and 5 and the Patriots went for it. Brandon Graham hit Brady and prevented him from following through on the pass, which made it an under thrown pass to Gronkowski and thus made it a turnover on downs.
So the Eagles forced the Patriots into three FG attempts in the first half, with one being no good and the other two being good. They forced the ball over on downs once and forced the half to end with the Patriots having the ball and getting no points.
Was it a great defensive game on either side? No. But you're an idiot if you can't recognize that there actually was some good defense played in the game. There was some bad defense played too, but don't diminish the good because of the bad.

The eagles defense was ok in the first half giving up only 12 points. The second half first three drives were horrible giving up touchdown all 3 drives the defense didn’t show up until Brandon Graham’s strip late in the 4th.
when thinking of SB 52 everybody thinks about the yardage and the 74 points combined. the problem is that nobody thinks about the fact that the eagles defense held the pats to 6 points on 4 of the pats 1st half drives. that the pats had ball inside the 30 on 4 occasions and only scored 6 points on those drives. pats had 3 of those drives inside eagles 20 and only had 6 points to show for it. 2 FGs and a missed FG. Eagles DEFENSE won this game even though they gave up 33 points and over 500 yards

I grew up in MA but been a die hard Eagles fan since I was 9 (I’m 36). That’s what makes this SO SWEET. Most, and I say MOST Pats fans I know really haven’t endured any hard times, they have only been fans in the Brady era. When I grew up there were VERY few Pats fans if any, maybe some hype with Parcels team and Curtis Martin but no one really gave a shit about that team. They all jumped on the bandwagon. I'm not sure I agree with Stephen A about the Patriots defense looking that bad. They weren't great, but the Eagles offense was just that damn good. The Eagles are the ones who played 90% of the game with no defense to speak of. I've never seen that many receivers wide open with a 10+ yard cushion. That's why Brady had 500 yards passing. He should've had 600, but he missed a number of throws. Foles' performance was more impressive to me, because he was throwing into much smaller windows and tighter coverage. Brady was throwing to mainly wide-open receivers.

The Eagles were OKAY in the 1st half. As usual Brady came out swinging in the 2nd half, but we got the sack fumble! But OVERALL an amazing game.
The Super Bowl was more good offense than bad defense. NE had the ball 11 times. Phi held them to 0 points 5 times. Gronk is a beast. One of the only mistakes Phi made was leaving smaller speedy CB Darby on Gronk. (2 TDs.)
NE only stopped Phi from scoring once, twice if you count the lucky tip gift off Alshon's hand.
Foles threw lots of perfect passes that were almost unstopable & Phi is the #1 team running between the tackles.
when thinking of SB 52 everybody thinks about the yardage and the 74 points combined. the problem is that nobody thinks about the fact that the eagles defense held the pats to 6 points on 4 of the pats 1st half drives. that the pats had ball inside the 30 on 4 occasions and only scored 6 points on those drives. pats had 3 of those drives inside eagles 20 and only had 6 points to show for it. 2 FGs and a missed FG. Eagles DEFENSE won this game even though they gave up 33 points and over 500 yards
Belichick really fucked this one up for us but I tip my hat off to the eagles. Brady gave you guys all he could but the better team won at the end of the day. Congratulations and enjoy your Superbowl. I'd love a rematch next year for it since this was an amazing game.

What game was Max watching. Yes the offenses were on fire, but the game wasn't sloppy. Very few flags, 1 turnover on each team (Foles INT was a bad bounce of the ball) and it was a constant fight. Also, yes the Eagles didn't have a sack prior to the strip fumble, but they hit Brady a lot. Early in the game, Brady got hit as he threw and barley got up. Throughout the game, the Eagles rush was an arm length away from a sack. What an amazing game for my beloved Eagles ! Finally CHAMPS! #flyeaglesfly
