Cheers from Alaska, great channel!! I had Mikes sled from new. Like another post said on here they were rushed into production for racing and had some jetting and clutching that needed sorting. Mine was a bog master stock but after some tweaks ran well. I also had a '91 RXL, 95 XLT, '97 XC and a bunch of other great sleds.

I have an edge 136, edge144, and a 00 XCR 800, All have 800 XCR engines, Had a 93 RXL SKS that the bulkhead broke at 11000 miles, Hard to beat a good old triple, Fun to see them gain popularity
I'll take reliable over fastest any day! I have a 08 Kawasaki klr 650 motorcycle that alot give me flack about. 30,000 miles later not an issue other than regular wear items.Just like my 06 Polaris fusion 600ho, as reliable as a hammer!!!

From what I remember those 600s with triple pipes have 800 pipes on them from the factory. Polaris only made one triple pipe for the 6oo,700, and 800. I've ben told the stock setup doesn't make the sled shine. If you can find a used set of aftermarket pipes it will really wake that sled up.
I’ve heard it said the 96s were a parts bin special, and the jetting and timing wasn’t quite right from the factory to make them really run well. The 97s had most of the bugs worked out and were much better.

hey todd i just picked up my first 96 xcr 600sp. im curious as to how big of a lug i can put on the sled stock? id like to go 1.25” or more but ive heard so many different things. i have a 1” lug on it now. id like to play a bit more off trail if possible. thanks!!!
I have a 97 xcr 600 sp in the aggresive chassis...I'm thinking about pulling the engine out and putting it into a 99rmk body....just not sure if it will fit without a bunch of work though....any thoughts??

Hey Todd just wondering I have a 96 600 SP with a 600 in it the guy I bought it from said it has A680 in it how can I tell the difference
Just look on the side of the cylinders. pl60 for 600 pl68 for 680

I had a '97 XCR 600 and it was quick. Ran a cylinder lean and burned down a piston, $1300 later it was up and running. Nice sled.
