uhhh thats even worse than those 5-wheel multiple line betting machines. i created a slot machine myself for some simple learning example and naive as i am i just made them show numbers from 1 to 9

Multiline slot machines can be more deceptive than single line slots. See this channel's video on "losses disguised as wins" for an explanation. The machine will light up and make noises like you won if it returns anything, even if it's a net loss. If you gamble 1 credit each on 25 lines and "win" 5 credits, you've really lost 20 credits. The machine sure won't look and sound like it, though.
