RIP Barbara Windsor. This was one of her finest moments as Peggy Mitchell for me, if not the finest!
Indeed, I love the way she slaps Pat and Frank referring to the slaps the “prizes”🤣🤣🤣.
RIP Barbara Windsor.
Definitely finest, she put her heart and absolute talent into this scene, this was golden age Eastenders hugely part in thanks to Babs.
Hope you enjoyed this firefireworks goodnight 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Get out my pub 😃😃😃
@@marcuslavaggi-bowen6539 That was a real slap lol
Mo sucking on a cigarette as it all unfolded had me in stitches.
The Spectre at the feast.....she was loving it lol....her and Pat were old frenemies
ha same, god I miss those days when people smoked in pubs.
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight 😃😃😃😃😃
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight 😃😃😃😃😃
.... and how the expressions on Barry and his dad’s faces changed as it went on!🤣🤣🤣.
“An award of lifetime achievement!”: Both smiling happily
....”an award for a lifetime, of irresponsibly, deceit and plain, old fashioned wickedness!”: Both turn their faces to anger 🤣🤣🤣
Omg back when you recognise all the characters 🤣
Underrated comment!
Especially Barry hehe
Absolutely Josh, I'm the same as you 😊
@@Karim9100 hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight lol 😃
I mean you do recognise the characters if you watch the show.
You don't realide how long ago this was till you see Mo smoking inside the pub 😂
Brilliant drama 😃😃😃😃😃
Yep😂
And *THAT* my friends, is acting. A true masterpiece of the art which I for one, have never forgotten. Well played Babs! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well done babs 😃😃😃😃
Great acting 😃 😃 😃 😃
You've got to be joking. Sub am-dram in the local village hall is better than that shit
@@johntomlinson6849 brilliant drama hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight lol 😃 😃 😄 😄
All that dialogue to memorise too. She’s great Barbara Windsor
That shot of Mo taking a drag of her smoke cracked me up. 😂
Yeah that was funny 😆
"Irresponsibility, desiect and plan old fashioned WICKEDNESS!". Always love the line delivery there, RIP Babs, I always kept reciting this after I first saw it!.
I can't help but think what if Princess Diana did this lol.
Well she kind of did minus the slapping haha! Her “there are three of us in this marriage” interview is basically the same...
My thoughts exactly 😂
Absolute pure gold. Wish soaps were still like this
"So why they're still here is a bit of mystery!" ... gets me every time.
Funniest part!
Totally agree! Best part of the scene in my opinion! 💯👏🤣
In fairness she made a great point. Why did they stay?!
@@elijahlivingston9477Cos Pat changed her mind about leaving Roy. Trouble is he'd already written the letter, and Phil already knew about the affair.
I love this scene! The way she says "loving PAT" She did it so sooooo well. RIP Barbara! ❤
That thumbnail is pure class 😂
This was back in the day that Eastenders was worth watching, enjoying, and following with interest.
Fact😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Now it's a pile of 💩💩💩💩💩💩
@@daniel_b1uk088 I blame peggy and pats deaths but I feel like it’s still watchable
Have you people seen the newest episode. Eastenders is always worth watching
Exactly, I was saying to a friend the other day back in the day eastenders was good back in to watch compared to now days
1:41 the pause … “LOVING PAT” 😂😂😂😂
Babs was amazing as Peggy!
Her last line in this scene pretty much sums up her time on Eastenders! ‘Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks, goodnight’ it now has a sweet touch!
Mo dragging the hell out of that smoke and Terry's horrified face at his name getting dragged into it. I can't breathe 😂
the way she says 'loving pat' gets me every time 🤣
3:50 she slaps pat & her earring falls off then it reappears on her ear 😂
Like magic😂😂😂😂
Back when EastEnders’ scripts were on FIRE
RIP, Barbara Windsor. A class act! 👍
This is my favorite!
Barbara Windsor is awesome!
Rest In Peace!
Very well acted by the legendary Dame Barbara Windsor!
Sad day today with her passing

Brilliant drama xx😃😃😃
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnite 😃😃😃😃😃😃
Peggy's description of the "award" is priceless, love the final part with "old fashioned wickedness". Plus her venting her frustration about Frank's "capacity to make a cock up of things!"
It's the way she spits the word "capacity" that makes it
Babs: have I gone stark staring mad?
Dot: it looks like it
*Great acting Babs. God bless you*
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight lol 😃 😃 😄
Been watching the classic episodes during quarantine and I watched this one a few weeks back. Epic speech. Pat chasing down Frank as he's driving off and shouting "FRAAAAAAANK" like a madwoman in a rainstorm after it all came to light was just as brilliant. Pat's a beast and I adore everything about her.
I watch it every week lol 😃 😄 😅 😁
Why there still here is a bit of mystery lol 😃 😃 😄 😄
Brillant drama lol 😃 😃 😄 😄
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight lol 😃 😃 😄 😄
This and the scene where Phil beat up Ian back when Laura was the nanny and grant playing the tape recorder of Phil and Sharon will forever be top 3 most iconic scenes 🤣🤣🤣
Rip to Mike Reid and and Barbara. Pair of legends.
No one makes a scene better than Peggy Mitchell! She's truly the best. May the beautiful Barbara Windsor rest in peace.
The best thing about this scene is Mo smoking the cigarette. The timing and facial expression is just perfect
Anyone notice Pat's earring fly off when she hit her, then reappear in the next cut
😂😂
Yeah apparently Barbara Windsor really went for it when she slapped Pat!
@@fingerscrossed2453 brilliant drama 😃😃😃😃😃
Then in a later scene Roy tells her to remove them both expressing his hate for them!🤣🤣🤣.
@@fingerscrossed2453 She actually had a stinging cheek for quite a few days also!.
The thumbnail is everything 🤣.
Classic scene remember watching it with my folks and sister. Genius acting.
I was a kid when this aired and still remember this RIP Barbara Windsor x
It's Dot's reaction for me 😂
Pats face when Peggy starts reading the note lol
Barbara Windsor...WOW!!! R.I.P. beautiful lady. We thank you for your art and your talent! A legacy; that last forever! Simply Brilliant!
Peggy: hope you'll enjoy the fireworks 🎆🎇

RIP Barbara, great character peggy, and fantastic in the carry on films!
0:38 that’s exactly what Dot is thinking 🤔😂
This was truly iconic. Excellent acting all round but Babs stole the show just with this scene. These were the best years of Eastenders. 👏👏
MO (Pat's frenemy/frienemis!!😂😂😂) is loving every minute lol😱😱😱🤣🤣🤣
You have hold your horses sweet heart lol 😃 😃 😄 😄 😄 😄 5
Childhood memories! 😍I recognise all of them. This is when Eastenders was goooood!
RIP Barbara Windsor, always forever be the Queen of the Queen Vic!
Angie Watts was the Queen of the Vic but Babs was great as well
You gotta hand to Eastenders back then. The acting was truly fantastic.
it still is you gonk.
Frank and pats pain noise was epic
Lol I love that thumbnail
Watched this episode in 2020 during lockdown when they put some of the most classic episodes on iPlayer - was bloody brilliant!
This episode aired on tuesday and the aftermath yesterday was so good I watched the aftermath on Drama plus 1 lol
THIS IS A CLASSIC!!!!!! One of my fave episodes!!!! 🙂❤
R.I.P Barbara Windsor you will be a sadly missed a iconic lady a legend 😭😭😭😭
That's why she was loved. They don't come much better!
Cheers Peggy(Barbara) Mitchell Windsor.
She was the role she played.
A sign of a legendary actress!
Frank looks like he has just accidentally Super Glued his hand to the bar by mistake ...
Lol 😃😃😃😃
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight lol 😃 😃 😄 😄
Love eastenders 😄 😄 😄 😄
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just put it on replay for this comment alone
I've never seen an episode of this show or know anything about what's going on or who anyone is. But damn, go Peggy for not taking it lying down. I hope she found a new man who loves her.
3:51 Always loved how Pat's earring comes off as Peggy slaps her and then after a couple shots, it's soon back on her ear again.
I noticed that lol 😃 😅 😂 😃
The actress who plays Pat asked that Barbara not hold back and slap for real, so that reaction of her almost falling over and losing her earring is completely genuine! 😂 Don't piss off Babs
@@jameslyon2338 babs, we love you 😃😃😃😃
Mate seeing this on the TV when i was little was mental lol Eastenders used to be god tier in the late 90s/early 00s
EastEnders at its best. All the greats have gone, in one way or another. I haven't watched since 2014 and don't feel as though I've missed anything.
This is classic Peggy! I love this scene. Get outta my pub!!! Barbara Windsor was a true legend 👏 xx
A great scene with iconic characters
Those were some genuine face slaps going on right there.....Peggy slapped Pat's earings right off! 😂 Not many women on the square who could do that!
Brilliant acting all round, one of Peggy's/Bab's finest moments acting wise I would say. R.I.P.
There are plenty of women in the square who could do that 😂👋

What an actress ❤️
She's always been my fav and still is shes such and amazing actor I can't even❤️✨
No matter how hard I try I never stop myself loving pat 😃😃😃😃😃
Back in the Days when Phil could hold his beer.
There was a line Phil said “30 odd years” maybe its been going on for longer
Miss this eastenders still to this day
We’re seeing this in way better quality than when it first released for the audience. The quality makes it feel like this was shot a lot sooner than 20 years ago.
Babs, the legend. RIP.
I feel sorry for the people in that pub, the awkwardness
They would love it. Not awkward at all, people love watching drama unfold and scandal.
Blimey, brings back memories. Whenever an affair's exposed you can guarantee that it's nuclear and in front of an audience, in this case everyone in the Square.
An acting masterclass.

“Patrick’s Evans” called out the whole government name 😂
When you F with the wrong person😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what a legend.
Go on Babs, that was incredible, Big Mike Reid was brilliant too.
I see no problem here.... Frank did a classy thing. He had feelings for Pat (which he couldn't help) so wrote her a full letter explaining how he feels so he doesn't leave her wondering "what did i do wrong".... He did a gentleman's thing. Put yourself in Frank's shoes and please tell me - what MORE could he have done? Nothing. He has nothing to be ashamed of.
The late, great Barbara Windsor. A brilliant actress who had the unique ability as an actor to play comedy and drama. RIP Darling ❤
Hope you all enjoyed the fireworks goodnight lol 😃 😃 😄 😄 😄
Fantastic performance!
Pure gold watching back then still watching this in 2021 😂 😂 😂 😂

When Enders was the best thing on 4 channels
I loved Peggy and pat they were the best characters on the show ❤

Humiliation is horrible. I can relate to humliation. Peggy had a point about Frank being inresponsible. R.i.P Barbara Windsor 😢
absolute classic of a soap opera scene
Johnny Allen and Peggy Mitchell had some good runnings he just didn't take no crap off the Mitchells he just knew what to say and how to say things .
When frank says jump we say high lol 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄
I do miss big scenes like this in the Vic
