I love Home Free's version of this beautiful song. "In The Blood" is in my top 5 songs by them. They really brought out the emotion of it. Tim's lead is amazing with his deep bass. Also love Rob & Chance's solos plus the great harmonies. And Adam is tasteful in making the simple sound of pounding his chest & thigh. I believe we can change our course in life. We don't have to make the same mistakes as our parents. We can choose to rise above it. "Castle On The Hill" is such a great song! I had not heard the original by Ed Sheeran before Home Free did their version. Love that Chance takes the lead in it & like all the other guys parts too. This is a nostalgic song about memories from the past with some good & some not so good. But everything that happens to us shapes our life & the person we become.
The last euro tour was last September and start of October, and they played England in the end. I got to see them live, it was glorious. The next one in Europe is 2025 or 2026
Home Free tours all over the world. They were just in the UK last fall. Love them. I’ve seen them live in 2 different states. They have been to Australia and Canada and Europe not too long ago…last two years. Look up their tour dates. I believe they’re coming back to UK next year. Love this song! I like it better than the original. 😄
I forgot you were doing Castle on the Hill too. Love it! They did a great job with it. It’s fun when they do it live. 😍 Can you turn up your volume of the videos…I can hardly hear them. That would be helpful. If you love Chance, try Yours, I Can’t Outrun You, Helplessly Hoping.
Honestly, to me it often sounds like Tim is a bit higher (not much) than Chance when both sing lead. Except when it's a bass lead. And sorry, no Austin lead in this one, only in the harmonies (very important). Along with Adam since he used only body percussion. They tour in the US the most, but they do come to Europe occasionally. They were here last year and said that they already work on the next Eurotour and hope it works out for 2025. Which would be awesome as I didn't know them last year and haven't seen them live yet. I think it's difficult for Austin to look anything but happy, he's usually smiling when he sings. It's probably hard for him to look grumpy/sad/serious for the videos where it's needed.

It's gratifying when someone actually takes up the recommendations and so quickly. I can barely keep up with your reactions to #homefree so I don't know if you've done their cover of Colder Weather. That showcases all 4 of the singers. So does their collab with Don McLean on American Pie. BTW it would be good if you could figure out a way to raise the volume of the artists' video that still allows you to be heard over it. The music is really faint by comparison.
