- I've been buying a lot of consoles from gamestop lately... this time, I decided to pick up a used Nintendo 64! GameStop sells a lot of retro consoles and games now, so I finally decided to try it out. I bought a Blast from the Past bundle that came with a N64 console and 3 games. Check it out! Is it worth it?

i played the n64 when i was younger mario 64 was my first game that i got with the console

One thing I never understood about the N64 was the controller. Itâs very... unique. Not 2, but 3 prongs, with a joystick right smack in the middle. I kind of like it. Iâve never actually used one before though.
ive used some and its actually way better than it looks
@@Karlenk0 it falls flat on its face when it comes to the stick it feels like cheap junk but other then that the grips are solid.

This was my first ever personal console I have so many found memories of this glorious system, ocarina of time and banjo kazooie still to this day are my 2 favorite games ever made

I used to have a 64 until last year my cats ruined it (you can probably guess how) and theres no way to fix it besides replace it.
So I would love a nintendo 64.

The expansion port was used but only in Japan. You see when the PlayStation was released, the disks could hold more memory than a N64 cartridge, so Nintendo announced they were making a disk drive for the N64 which was supposed to have a lot of titles especially Mario 64 2 Earthbound 64, etc. however the disk drive was a failure for developers as it crashed and eventually it was released in Japan only but you had to order it through Randnet. The DD came with a mouse a keeyboard, mic and a bunch of interesting games such as the f zero expansion disk which allowed you to make custom tracks etc There was also a polygon studio and animation studio that the micro games would become Wario Ware. SIM City 64 was another game waking with Doshin The Giant which was another interesting game. The DD also took a right step in direction for online gaming as you could send creations. Overall 20,000 units were sold as Nintendo stated they ran out of supply for demand which meant that the N64DD was a failure. Nintendo would keep experimenting with online play with GameCube with the land adapter and eventually the Wii would be the first Nintendo home console to have internet
I havenât played the N64 since 2013 I use to play Mario kart a lot and my parents have had the N64 since the 90âs

The red n64 was my very last Christmas present until I turned 13 and I could never get presents from Santa ever again.
Nice video, as others have said you should always get some IPA (rubbing alcohol) and clean the cartridge connectors when you get these retro games

Just get a q tip and rubbing alcohol and run around the pins on the diddy Kong racing cartridge
That's what I do with my cartridges. Works really good.

I played Turok and beat it, along with starfox and Mario kart thanks to my brother modding my wii
I own Turok for Game Boy Color and it's alot of Fun I play it all the time

I may be you need than 15 but I love the 64. When I was younger we didnât have the newest stuff so we played my dads old n64. I remember playing so much of the original smash broâs it was crazy lol!

Turns out that's actually bad to blow into them if they don't work use isopropyl alcohol at least 90 percent and a Q tip to clean the pins

You clean the pins of the n64 with a Q tip & rubbing alcohol & you will see the dirt on the Q tip, never blow air as the dust gets into the game its self! Same as the NES & SEGA
