The main differences between these model and the 2550 are the i datalink maestro compatibility and the remote control.

I’m not too familiar with the other receivers and what they do, but the 2500nex is a good product. I mean when you come from using a single din radio of course it feels like an upgrade, but it does more than I thought. And once I updated the firmware after having it for 6 months, the receiver is running efficient just with touching the screen itself and CZcams is 50x better with video play. As long as you have good service for your device it syncs perfect with audio/video. Make sure you get everything you need if you want video play while in motion.
And much can it cost and for how many days to be shipped??

Also the CD player will not read CD Text encoded discs. Seems a bit strange since my Pioneer DEH-X8800BHS supports it fine. Not sure for MP3 CDs. I hope so.
Did you do any troubleshooting videos or only reviews? I wired my pioneer avh4400(I think ?) myself and it seemed to work fine and now I’m just using it with my phone only, no screen whatsoever

So I'm talking about how to wirelessly display album artwork. Normally it only works connected via USB. But it can work via bluetooth. This is possible when you're normally playing music via bluetooth, but instead of selecting the "Bluetooth" source on the stereo, select either the "Spotify, iPod or Pandora" source on the stereo. And album art will show up wirelessly

I thought the 2500 didn't have HD Radio and the 2550 did. Also my 2550 does have I Data Link Mastro support. Perhaps next video needs to be differences between the 2500 and 2550?

AVH-2300NEX and AVH-2400NEX have been discontinued! 2500NEX is the latest model. I would also look into the AVH-1500NEX:

i got the 2500nex and hated it.. 90% of the time you cant read the display as it is to reflective and you cant tilt the screen.. Also in my car with a good mounting kit there wasnt enough of a chin on the face of the unit so by time i added my metra kit the buttons to control the unit were below the edge of the metra mounting kit making it hard to use the controls... These issues are a big no no.. So i returned it and ordered a 2400nex which you can tilt the screen.
Anyone out there have an installation video? I want to buy one but cannot find anything at ALL to see if it will fit in my car, and if i need to buy a kit to fit my car

You don't get a million views because your faithful subscribers are the only ones who don't pay someone to install their stereos and that's not a lot of people. I might only know one person that can build a system and its perfect, not held together with solderless connectors and wires that had half their stands cut or ripped off when they were stripped with the kitchen scissors...

Does Waze still work within Android Auto? I was reading that Pioneer radios were no longer compatible. Also, does "Pinch to Zoom" work with Google maps and waze using android audio?
Oh no that's actually a common misconception. Waze will no longer be supported in Pioneer's "AppRadio Mode" or "Weblink". Waze will always work in Android Auto for any stereo :)

Probably. I don’t see why the system would view it differently than a flash drive. Only issue I could think of is power restrictions.

They both came out around the same time. They are just different model units. The higher the model # means more features in the unit. Due to the microchip shortage it's hard to find any Pioneer units in stock and at retail prices. Best Buy does have the AVH-2550NEX on it's website for $449 which is retail price. The 2550NEX is the same unit as the 2500NEX except the 2550NEX comes with a remote and iDatalink Maestro port. The 2500NEX and the 2550NEX both retail at $450 so you are better off getting the 2550NEX. Don't wait too long because head units are selling and not being replenished in supply. Also avoid the AVH-W4500NEX model. It has a notorious problem of an internal SD card becoming corrupt after 18 - 24 months and causes the unit to go into an infinite boot loop mode until the SD card is replaced. You will have to send it in to Pioneer and give them $100 to fix it as the SD card required is proprietary and only Pioneer has them. I guess some guy in Russia will sell them for $50 and you can replace it yourself, but you still must uninstall and open the unit to do so.

AVH2500NEX has to much screen glare and you cant read the screen half the time... I returned mine and ordered a 2400nex that you can tilt the screen.
Also so you know , you DO NOT need to buy special adapters to run stuff from your android or iphone screen, one example is waze and all you do is hook your phone up to the USB port on head unit and the phone app will display on the deck... There are to many video on here that show you need all these adapters and you dont...You only need special adaptors if say you wanna watch video's from your phone and in that case most android phones wont let you.
You’re comparing screen mirroring to using CarPlay and Android Auto. Those are two very different things. Screen mirroring does require adapters
the 2440 with hd radio blows away the 2500 if you spend $499 the sale price on i think the #2550 you get wireless android auto or $899 on sale for the one with the better screen and wireless but ouch! i paid $299 a steal on the #2440 with adjustable tilt screen, click my icon pic for some info on my systems
The ONLY Pioneer head-units with wireless Android Auto are their W series, so the W4500NEX, W6500NEX, and W8500NEX. (W440NEX, W6400NEX, W8400NEX)
@@Qualitymobilevideo yes i like how pioneer uses the letters to really mean something, i heard the wireless aint all that- cause it sucks your phone battery, and may lag also so after spending all that extra $ you end up plugging it in anyway to charge and etc, what you say about all that?
2500 has has hd radio lol
