FSU actually uses the portal less than Miami, Colorado, UF, Ole Miss, Oregon, and at least 4 other teams in your list…you just “think” FSU “relies too heavily on the portal” becasue that’s what eSECpn tells you (whilst hiding all the actual numbers that prove it’s untrue) & because, unlike the other teams named, every time FSU takes a player out the portal it proves to be a huge success…thanks to “development” & “coaching”
FSU brought in TWENTY SEVEN Blue chip players in last years recruiting cycle. For reference that is A) THE MOST blue chip players EVER ACQUIRED in a SINGLE year by ANY team in the state of Florida, B) THE MOST blue chips acquired by ANY TEAM in last year’s cycle, period & C) FSU had 27 blue chip players on their roster last year TOTAL (38% BC rate)…they now have a 71% BC rate. No team in the history of CFB has ever DOUBLED their BC ratio in a single class…FSU not only set that record but also nearly TRIPLED it in 2024
Don’t necessarily disagree with your assessment of FSU’s “ceiling” this season (you’re right about not thing, they have a lot of unproven talent)…but FSU returns its entire Oline (top5 in the country), 68% of the current roster contributed “impactful reps” last season, FSU actually has more returning production in the trenches (on BOTH sides) than either Clemson OR Miami does. Just do your own research next time. Relying on eSECpn for “factual information” is gonna make you look foolish more often than not.

Pretty solid list here, I can’t wait to see how everything shakes out. This had the potential to be the most chaotic season in history

@@theneutralzonepod I'm banking on Tennessee and TAMU having good seasons. Also, you have Utah winning the Big 12, but watch out for Kansas. Out of the top teams in the Big 12 (Arizona, Utah, Okst, KSU), they only have to play KSU. If they can hold it down the rest of the season, thats a 11-1 season and probably a big 12 championship berth. Same thing with Penn State. They only have to play OSU at home (which is by no means a guaranteed loss for them) then their next hardest game is what? @ USC? @ Wiscy? vs UCLA?. Their schedule lends nicely to an 11-1 season and maybe a B1G title berth if Oregon or OSU slips up. Even if they lose the B1G title and vs OSU, no way the committee puts a 11-2 team that played in the B1G title at the 11 seed.

I have the same teams just in a different order. I think Ohio State and Georgia are the best two teams in the country
