    One of the most elegant throws in Judo. This video emphasizes many critical points that are easily and too often overlooked. Also I learned an uchikomi drill for this waza that I never knew about before. Thank you!

    This style of uki waza is what Kudo sensei (kudan) called no waki or field drop. The nage no kata form is done in a more open fashion, with greater distance between uke and tori. The style shown is quite beautiful to watch when done spontaneously.

    Wow.. This video was amazing! What great teaching and knowledge. I want to learn judo, so bad, but my school doesn’t really teach take downs.

      Indeed. I have my best uke at the dojo, but I always try to be the best uke for everybody too.
