Around ~ue8, outer rims had npcs with working guns, and there was another mod call something like “Jedi trainer” that allowed you to deflect blast bolts significantly easier. That was probably the peak of enjoyment for blade and sorcery for me since playing from launch.
honestly ue8 and ue9 outer rim was peak. I'd say most mods are peak. Now not so much tho

For mods it was peak, for base game it's never been better than it is now.
One thing I miss about older Blade and Sorcery is back when the NPCs could use the blasters. Getting surrounded by an army of Clones really made you feel like a victim of Order 66 LOL
They added it back. Not as an official update to Outer Rim, but HuJohner made an AI blaster mod that works.

I absolutely love Vader Immortal, but I kind of hated how short your climactic battle with him was. My first time I thought I just beat him handedly, like making him take a certain amount of damage progressed the fight, then the second time I went out of my way to not hit him and the fight went just as fast.

The last version of the Outer Rim mod in blade and Sorcery that has blasters is the U9.3 version, in this case the U9.3 is a version of the game blade and sorcery, and it has a mod that leaves the sabers with the sounds more faithful to the original material which is the improved kyber crystals sounds in outer rim, it becomes very better the gameplay
The current Tor version has blasters too...

There DrBeef's VR port of Jedi Knight II: Outcast which is absolutely stunning!
Blade and sorcery is even better in the older versions because AI can hold and shoot blasters you can deflect.
They added it back. Not as an official update to Outer Rim, but HuJohner made an AI blaster mod that works.

Did you not play Tales From the Galaxy's Edge? it has Jedi lightsaber training, while sadly not as in depth as Vader Immortal it feels properly like Jedi training.

To give a bit of a rebuttal on your views of the lightsabers in Vader Immortal. You mentioned how they feel a bit light. If you think about it, that's probably how they would feel if they were real, especially since you probably can't feel the blade of a lightsaber like with a regular sword, which has weight to it. A lightsaber on the other hand is an energy blade. It doesn't have any weight on it with the exception of the handle.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure lightsabers were described in-universe as "heavier than they look", for sure in Clone Wars and maybe in Rebels too. Also I don't really remember specifics but i think that the blade is supposed to have some impact on the wielding experience, like how two blades attract each other or them having momentum in spite of lack of weight
@@sidlestone4575 I know what you're talking about. Though I feel like it has more to do with the handle in the case of a lightsaber. The only thing that would have any weight with a lightsaber is the handle. I don't know if you actually feel any weight with the blade of a lightsaber than with a regular sword, which has much more weight with the blade, hilt, guard, etc.
@@99thJediWarrior I mean, the Star Wars encyclopedia says that the blade has a "strong gyroscopic effect", and that it's tricky for non Force users to handle...

No lightsabers do have weight. If the blade was weightless than it would be difficult to use the standard sword techniques like they do with lightsabers in the movies. If the blade was weightless you could just swing it around frantically like a flash light with your opponent having no way of blocking the fast erratic movements.

If not then I recommend checking it out
It's lightsabers but if they were made into other weapons
To daggers to katanas to scythes and sickles and even shields to maces and even a wolverine claw as well
It's pretty fun but underrated

yeah its an awesome mod small fun fact about it if you levitate the weapon and press the spell button the blade will change color

And now they’re starting to get around to blaster npcs in Blade sorcery, but they’re not the best, and take a work to get good at deflecting and defending against but they are there. At least now we know why did I die during order 66, we can even experience it!

I have always wanted to attempt to make a VR SW RPG but (a) I am poor and have no money for developers and (b) the fact that it hasn't been done except once has me nervous to even try.

nope! You don't need a pc to get mods as long as you get the Nomad verion of the game.

You should really play That sideequest port of Jedi knight outcast. It's way better than Vader immortal even if the graphics are a bit dated

Blade and Sorcery Nomad is lacking in the lightsaber mods in my opinion which is why I want to transition from the Meta Quest to whatever headsets support computer VR. I don't have anything against the Meta quests personally though. It's still fun
the Quests can play PCVR, I use a Quest 2

Hate to be that guy but blade and sorcery with outer rim and kyber crystal expansion it has 140 lightsabers kyber crystals changeable length and color (the kyber obviously) and like 39 blasters even like jet packs and bombs and that😊

How easy is it to mod Blade & Sorcery? I mod almost every game I play, but I bought Boneworks for modding yet couldn't get it (the mods) to run correctly.

I so wish Outer Rim was on U12 ... I have no idea how much time we'll have to wait. It will be worth it of course but ... yeah B&S just isn't the same without lightsabers to me.

i took this seriously until you said blades and sorcery since its a mod...so its not actually a lightsaber game..
Let's just exclude the experience (Of which there are not that many of already) with the best lightsabers on a technicality, I'm sure that's what everyone actually wanted.
VR is a gimmick
Vader immortal is fun, but the story is too short, and it's kinda a cash grab considering it's split up into 3 15-20 minute games.
