LYRICS:
One time, I tried to sing,
about spring and a storm, but you know how it goes.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, bla-bla, blah, all along.
Won't you please stop complaining? I'm playin' a song.
All the rain comes down the same,
falling to from where it came,
on the ground then back around up into the sky.
I wish you could have heard the music,
when the clouds growled over head.
I finally felt enthusiastic. I finally felt alive.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, bla-bla, blah.
So you said.
Would it please you to listen to thunder instead?
When the rain came down that day,
and it drained my soul away,
and I wondered why I even bother to try,
She said: "Tell me about the sky."
The sky is deep, and dark, and eternally high.
Many people think that's where you go when you die.
"Do you?"
Well I think you return to obscure,
or wherever you were, before you were,
but I won't let you lose yourself in the rain.
We have so much left to sing.
There's a storm for every spring.
All you see, and you and me, we came from the stars.
So observe these blues and greens.
And embrace this harmony.
All you see, and you and me, we came from the stars.
From the stars.
From the stars.
One time, I tried to sing,
about spring and a storm,
but you know how it goes.
THIS IS PART OF A 27-TRACK, 1HR-48MIN-LONG COVER ALBUM OF MARVIN'S MARVELOUS MECHANICAL MUSEUM BY TALLY HALL, AS WELL AS A FEW SONGS FROM RELATED SIDE-PROJECTS (Miracle Musical, Joe Hawley, Light & Night.)
I dare you to become a Tally Hall cover channel
While most of your covers have a much darker tone than the originals I've noticed, this one feels just as much (if not more) like a warm, comforting hug than the original!
Wow, of course you're a Tally Hall fan! The clues were in our faces all along, amazing work, Chonny!
Can’t wait for the remake, it’s gonna kill me
dude, this is incredible. this is like my favorite tally hall song and you transformed it into something ASTOUNDING. literally almost brought me to tears. please never stop doing what you do <3
are blue and green your favorite colors?
I love this so much!!! It feels so reassuring, like saying "hey, stuff may be bad right now, but it'll be okay in the end!!" very warm :)))
always keeping my ears open for when that new addition hits.
Alright, guess we have to bring her around again.
I love your take on the mr moon part
Finally a cover of tally halls other songs than “ruler of everything”! And its amazing!
> cries over soul
we embraced this harmony
Originally this was my least favourite of the covers because it lacked the latter part, but much like all the other ones, I’ve come to appreciate it as something different, and sometimes I’d rather be listening to this than the original
I typed "Spring and a Storm" cover on the search bar looking for a specific one that I had in mind, but I'm really glad I also stumbled across this one that was recently uploaded beclaws gosh ! it is amazing 💚
I love the accidental perfect poetic start of leaving out the “create until nothing is left to create” part,
This song feels like it would be played because of the nostalgia, or when they are united to look back from a beautiful from the past.
If I could get a CD of these Tally Hall covers I would I love these so much
Honestly the lack of the ending bit here only makes it more impactful in Storm and a Spring
