Still waiting on a door jam wiring harness repair so I can share it on all my CRV sites on Facebook and help grow your channel. The passenger floor water leak and the door harness are the two most common inquiries, lots of water leak repair videos but the only wiring harness repair video requires removing fenders and purchasing 100$ replacement ends

    • @hondaresource

my method still requires removing the fender, but can be done for little to nothing.

Fixed mine by removing a few clips from under the dash to extend the wiring out to work on and removing the door speaker to get to the backside

Much smarter way of doing it than I did by cutting. Wish I would have watched your video first. Mine has worked pretty much flawlessly except recently I drove a 7 hour round-trip pulling a very small trailer when I went to pick up another engine. Halfway there my check engine light came on for the crank sensor. The car still drove completely normal I still got great fuel mileage and everything seemed the same except for the check engine light being on. I cleared it when I got back and it hasn't come on again since🤷🏼‍♂️

Great video!! I just reserved a low km JDM 2.0L to put in my 99' this week. This video and the other you posted on an engine swap about a year ago, that I've watched 5 times now, has been helping me tremendously! Thank you! Just subscribed!
Question: For the crank sensor bypass, I understand the connecting the yellow and blue wires in the harness, and I much prefer your solder method too btw.
But why connect the black and white wires? This for proper grounding?

I have a question and i believe you are the one with the answer, however any response from anyone is appreciated.
How do i know what engine or tranny i have and what they are rated for, i have tried searching extensively for the 2000 crv ex 4wd manual but the only result i recieved was "2 liter, 4 cylinder" and "5 speed manual".
I am trying to find a manual/guide so i know all the torque specs and type of engine i have and what my transmission is rated for.
Even the owners manual doesn't say anything
I tried looking for the 'code' on the side of the engine but i believe it is between the transmission and the engine, and i dont plan on seperating them until i have to change the clutch.
Thank you in advance for your help and your videos, the help a lot.

@@hondaresource thank you for the quick reply, i really appreciate it, may i ask where you found the information? Is there a manual or a guide(for future reference) or is it from your experience?
I also see that my engine is manufactured in japan, would that make a difference?
Also i saw your video on valve adjustment on the firat gen and you used 12mm valve adjustment tool, online they say honda is standard 10mm, is this something they implemented later or is it possible that there was different engines for the first gen depending on the transmission and model?
Again i truly appreciate your help.
