Love the thoughtful design improvements! I never understood why so many vehicles were made with the lip under the arch that attracts so much dirt and grime! Especially on a 4x4!! Awesome job!

Thank you! I would class myself as a car trader first however over the years I have developed a mixture of skills which have allowed me to dabble in the odd restoration as you see in this fourtrak series. Thanks for watching!

Been enjoying this series, would love an old fourtrek! Was wondering what thickness of steel plate your using for patching the floor and arches etc?
Glad to hear that you’re enjoying it! I am using 0.8mm steel on the body / floors to match up with the original steel. Obviously I’ve used thicker stuff on the chassis / suspension mounts etc 👍
Brilliant job Johnny, iv a hilux tub which needs work on arches but can't locate any repair panels. 2011 does anyone know of a supplier or will they need to be fabricated.
Cheers Keith. I restored a 2009 MK6 Hilux with a rotten tub and found that panels were non-existent so had to custom fabricate. The videos are on my channel in case it’s any help 👍

Thanks Deborah. At the moment I’m unsure what I’ll do with it. I always said I’d keep it for myself and enjoy it, but money talks so I may end up getting tempted and selling up!

Hi Johnny. I have a 25 year old Rivera that I bought brand new in 1997. I haven’t used it a great deal over the years as evidenced by its mileage < 50k. Having recently failed its MoT due to rusty inner sills and rust in the back end I feel it would be a shame to scrap it. Unfortunately I don’t have anyone I could trust to fix it properly. That is until now having seen your videos. Is this something you could help with. Don’t know where you are based. I live in Wakefield.
Hi Joseph, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I’m absolutely flat out right now and for the foreseeable on my own fourtrak/ several other restorations that are stacking up in the workshop. Your Fourtrak does sound very interesting though so I do hope that you can get it sorted. Failing that, I’ll always be a buyer for a truck like that should you decide to sell it!
