22 Piece Chamber String Orchestra - 7 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 3
Made for Kontakt Player
Capturing the sweetness and softness of a Chamber Strings section has long been a dream of ours. Recorded in collaboration with our friend Jasper Blunk from Performance Samples, we have now made that dream a reality.
Dolce is our definitive romantic Chamber Strings library, with 7 1st Violins, 5 2nd Violins, 4 Violas, 3 Celli, and 3 Double Basses.
We selected our favorite players all of whom we've worked with on many other projects and recorded a large selection of articulations to really offer something that will be a well-rounded tool in your arsenal.
With meticulous attention to detail, we've created a truly wonderful tool that offers a rich and romantic sound, perfect for capturing the finer nuances of your compositions.
Dolce was recorded in the same room as Fluid Woods, Fluid Brass, and Performance Samples’ Pacific series, and captures the same warm, romantic signature that sits perfectly between the symphonic and grand sound that you get with Pacific, and the more pointed and lush Hollywood type of sound that you get within our our orchestral range.
With 4 mics and 2 mixes, as well as all 5 individual sections of the ensemble available plus a complete set of ensemble patches, Dolce provides ultimate dexterity and ease to your writing process.

Very good idea. Some re-records are probably going to be needed. I really think that a 2nd less slur-y legato without the aggressive portamonto-ing in addition to whatever ott transistions jasper usually goes with would be a very good idea personally.
Best of luck with the updates - I think there's potentially a top-of-the-line instrument here if the transitions into the legato samples can be massaged and smoothed out. Also, I can't see any evidence of this from the video, but I would like to see a Con Sordino filter as a toggle; just so that we're not locked into using exclusively the real Con Sordino sustains and can apply that veiled sound to the other articulations.
Please I'll like to suggest: can you guys work on developing an Ethnic library like Middle East Strings and oriental sounds like the Duduk? That will be a nice addition to your repertoire.
I love the ''Fast Staccato''' articulation.
Yikes, that legato....
So disappointed, because the sound of this library is great!! Give me legato like CSS and it'd be perfect
ABSOLUTELY IMPECCABLE!!!
very nice, will be picking this up for sure
Beautiful lovely sound, and I love the fact that it was performance sourced with Jasper's approach. However as mentioned before legato is not acceptable for modern standards, might work for a few chords here and there but it's just not good for writing any sort of musical melody with. Sadly I can't offer more constructive criticism on this as I really have no idea how it works in the background. All I can say is that my ears are telling me it's no good, the release samples/scripting aren't either. Especially looking at the other options out there, some of which came out many years ago (Vista, Pacific, Appassionata, Cinematic Studio Strings, CS2 in 2012) I suggest using these as reference if possible. Although the legatos need a lot more polishing I think it's also not too far from being a great product, the tone itself is beautiful as I first mentioned, but in its current state and price (more expensive than some of the options mentioned previously and being in an already overpopulated market with so many string libraries that sound great and have great legatos with great releases, and cost less, it's an absolutely no for me , and I'm a sucker for smaller ensembles, but that's for now, who knows what an update could bring in the future:)
As a violinist, I agree. It almost sounds like looped
Sounds great ! Good job.
The legato is unacceptably bad, even with legato smoothing cranked to maximum. So disappointing, especially considering the ensemble you used, and that everything else sounds so nice; the best quiet trills I've heard yet in a library.
I thought I was going crazy not seeing anyone else say this. It sounds so wonky? Like notes sucking into one another.
@@willmanning7054 Yeah, I think it's the way the instruments fade into a legato transitions; you either get weird volume pumping or twitchiness. I'm confident that Audio Imperia/Performance Samples can improve it down the line, especially having heard how much better CineStrings 2.0 became compared to v1.3.2; mind you, it took CineSamples nearly 10 years to do it and it's still not perfect.
In a world where Cinematic Studio Strings v1.7.1 exists for $399, this at $499 SRP just isn't good enough. Really is a shame, because the ensemble size is really interesting, but clearly the work for this library isn't finished.
Legato sounds bad, sorry. And why no dynamic adjustable vibrato? Cinematic and Berlin Strings have that since years.
This sounds great. Very expressive and colorful.
Ouch that legato is... bad. Especially with the violas... Hopefully they fix it soon.
I like the library alot ...santa!
I'd love this, but SEVENTY FOUR GIGABYTES!! Jesus wow... this thing is huge for some violin noises!!
What a shame with the legatos I was really looking forward to layering this library with Areia for some extra definition.
Legato is a bit lumpy in places but tone is great
you're a bit lumpy but great.
@@nicodemolalli5643 thanks
@@nicodemolalli5643 Thanks!

Wonderful!
Sounding gorgeous
Why isn't the Sample Start all the way down? I would personally want the legato to not be cutoff? I may record with the Sample Start high, but playback will be with Sample Start all the way down right to get the entire legato transition? You guys should demonstrate a video with the Sample Start all the way down. 😊
Is there any crossgrade pricing if I have other AI libraries?
Jumping 10 months forward, has there been any updates ? I couldn't see any information on the website.
the ironic thing is that the legato demo of this could have been used for their april fools video
Just purchased today, still downloading, hope the legatos are good..
And how was it?
Hi, What role does the Niente button play?
Cool!!!❤❤🌟🌟
Buen sonido, pero para ser romántico necesita mas dramatismo en los legatos y marcatos como : Vista, Soaring strings, Cinematic studio, Chamber Strings spitfire
I saw the legato comments and had to check. Oof. The legato is... not so great, especially on the violas' presentation. What a shame, considering the overal sound and specs. The marcatos look very good.
Ya I stopped watching after listening to the viola legato presentation. Like why would u make another string library if ur not gonna make it sound at least on par with other libraries that are literally half that price. Too bad , was really looking forward to this
No Keyswitch patches ?
any plans for new samsung monitors?
Sounds phenomenal!
This sounds super neat!, bravo Audio Imperia
The legato needs work
Video needs to be taken down and try again. Legato Smoothing could be a factor here.
Hopefully it will get updated I guess?
I agree, The legato and their previous libraries seemed a little bit smoother
The Legato seems fine in my opinion. You can see from the GUI that there's a Legato Smoothing Knob and a Sample Start Knob. If you just turn it right, it should sound just fine. Another thing to note is to also extend the midi notes to sort of overlap each other when programming to really get some of that Legato feel👍
re-bow as well?
Frog staccato? 🐸
Played with the frog of the bow :) The frog is the end part of the bow
Puff, horrible legato😢
The legatos as mentioned by others are not good. Work harder next time
Nice. But... Kontakt Player? I'm out.
That's the free one my friend
@@AlonsoJoaquinComposer It has nothing to do with being free or not. The experience with native instruments is nothing short of horrendous.
@@houdinididiit you're going to struggle in this game if you refuse to use kontakt 😅
@@WillyJunior I have plenty of great libraries and sources. (even a few in Kontakt that I barely use). Kontakt is irrelevant to me. You don’t need it.
@@houdinididiit What do you use instead?
To my ear, this sounds rather harsh and oversaturated. The legato is strange and this all for 500 bugs? Sorry guys..Also there is no interesting space that it was recorded in or it was done lousy.
Dear Devs, what happened to you? Why is the Legato so bad on Dolce? I own Jaeger, Aira, and Nucleus and their Legato is so much better. This Legato in that actual state does not convince me yet. Are you gonna fix this in future updates?
