I qc'd and shipped who knows how many thousands of these when I worked s&r for a supllier years ago -- I didn't know until now how they actually worked. Great content!

You know I had this crappy heater never worked that great so today I disassembled it. Perhaps I'd use the element for some other things. To my surprise it was nothing more than a piece of cardboard with threw wire attached to it. So I put the ohm meter to it to find resistance then I torched it which seemed like cardboard but when I removed the flame, there was no fire. My heater was constructed no where as yours. I could tell by your layers and thickness and curve and element
Mine looked like a furnace filter but flat and made of two sheets of shiny I presume Micah board in which on one piece one side had been sprayed a thin layer of the resistance compound which had no resistance after I removed it from the shiny layer. That compound was sandwiched with the other piece cardboard or Micah very thin. Which had threw electrical wires attached at the top of the substance, spaced out from side center side with two metallic tracks that encompassed the outskirt of the substance with a brass strip running down the middle. Pressing the ground wire. I had never heard of Micah thermic heat before today and before I stumbled across you I hit a few reviews and swear they were bias because my heater was bad. Never good, Walmart trash. So thanks for your video. I would have never bought another one again but since I saw you product, even a beat down tore up one, it definately was night and day in quality of materials. Well now another direction on how I can use the carbon and Micah for my own resistance needs

I have a band heater and at the end of the leads they are flat. How do these get connected to my temperature controller. It is for my plastic injection machine.
