Unit 3.9 Jamindari and Talukdari (Feaudalistic Land Ownership)

Jamindari and Talukdari comes under Feudalistic land tenure system. The work of jamindar is known as Jamindari. The main function of jamindar is to collect land revenue from villagers and send to the land revenue office. However the jamindars also takes care if agricultural problems of the villagers.
The term jamindari is used in Terai region
and the term Talukdari is used in hill region for the same purpose
