I feel like Benji going to the grocery store is like Judy shopping at Sephora or Target. The happiness 😊
100%
Soooo true❤
Hi Benji new subscriber from GUAM! I have a request...No costco here, enjoy your vlogs...but please share prices of items or just quickly the price tag on shelf? Thank you😊
Probably true😊
Queso Oaxaca:
Is a melting cheese, kind of mozzarella good for quesadillas, gorditas, ect.
Queso Fresco:
Is a wet crumbly cheese good to top on sopes, taquitos, tostadas or just over refried beans
Queso Cotija:
Is a really drycheese and a little bit more salty, we typically grate it to top on sopes, tostadas, taquitos, gorditas ect. Alot of people dont like it because of it's peculiar smell... Stinky Feet Cheese (thats what my boys call it 😂)
Queso Panela:
We use it as a side to accompany some type of protein especially when we make carne asada. Grilled or pan fried (with a little bit of oil) in a taco with a piece of meat, salsa and a gilled cactus or cactus salad and some guac...😋 YUMMERS!!
I learned working as a vendor inside of Costco that they have stores catered to the area’s demographic, so in highly populated Asian areas they have more Asian products, my store was considered Hispanic so we carry a lot of Hispanic products.
Benji is the shopping friend you need. Convinces you into buying stuff 😂
Not sorry 😂
LOL I would be in so much trouble! 😂 But in the end I’d have no regrets.
Its funny- I’ve been watching you and Judy since I was 14 and always skipped past the cooking content (sorry lol). Fast forward to now, I’m 27 and am LOVING your videos Benji. Thank you for sharing 😊
I never thought I would enjoy watching someone grocery shopping so much, but here I am nodding my head and saying oh wow. Lol
all these costco content is hitting the right places. i've always enjoyed benji and judy's grocery hauls so this is just euphoric for me lol
Key word from this vlog, “Hella” 😂..
I live in Southern Cali. We have diversity. I have noticed Asian snacks have been on an upward trend over the past 8 years or so. I am a foodie like you Benji. 😁
I think you should do a “try costco snacks” or “try japanese snacks” from all the hauls/grocery shopping! So we know if it’s worth the buy hahaha
I use Bachans on everything! I make poké, soy beans, marinate meats of course on my lazy days, but super yummy, i even add a little bit to my ramen, udon broth.
Everyone that grew up in our tulime loves the white mystery airhead!! I use to flip them back and forth really fast making it push down to one side and get compressed. I gotta get some now lmao
I’ve been emailing hello vlogging academy since January about a refund for the vlogging package I never received.
I love the Japanese barbecue sauce. Best on pork, chicken and fish.
Haircut lookin sharp, Benji 👌
I live in Salt Lake City, UT and we have the largest Costco here. Also, started seeing a lot of Asian snacks and seasonings in our Costco here and even just regular Kroger grocery stores now has it too! Thankfully still at an affordable price.
I'm loving these new videos by Benji... Thank you 🙏🏻❤
We just moved to the Midwest from Seattle and the Costco here has no Asian food products. The people here are missing out!
Oh no. Come on Costco!
There might not be enough of an Asian population for that demand. When I moved to Reno we didn’t have Asian food either. Once a moved back to San Diego we have Asian food galore!
I get mad when I see Benji shopping at Costco and getting Asian groceries. I go to my Costco and it doesn’t carry any Asian food. I wanted that lumpia so bad. I’m here in the Midwest. All we get is meat and potatoes. Also never knew there was a business Costco.
When shopping at a regular Costco, I love 💕 the big quantities of things like organic nuts, spices, and quinoa, because they sell tiny amount else where. 💕Really like the smirk 😏 on the thumbnail.
The myster flavor for the Air Heads is a mixture of flavors. When they start up a new batch, some old flavor is still in the system, and instead of discarding this mix of flavors, they smartly market it as a mystery flavor.
I would LOVE to walk through a costco with that much variety and quantity. Randomly walking through grocery stores is my idea of fun 🎉
Thank you for this!! I have been so curious, but too lazy to actually check out my local business Costco. I am loving all these videos Benji! Just went crazy at Uwajimaya last week!
The answer to your question about why there are more Asian snacks is because of anime becoming more popular
No there are not that many weebs on earth that Costco would do something special for them
I have learned so much about food and the sources of food just by listening to Benji. As someone who frequently works out and tracks nutrition (for now!) I feel like I learn more from him about nutrition than a gym bro eating chicken and broccoli LOL balance is key
I laugh every time benji mentions the fake kewpie mayo 😂 it’s his mission every Costco trip to warn us! Thanks Benji!!
Costco worker here. The stores carry stuff that do well to the demographic that shops there. So two costcos within 15 minutes from eachother can have completely different products because of their members
Hmm, I don't know if these are everywhere. The Costco's in my area have "business owner" hours, but it's all the same products (a lot of which you showed in this video), I believe. How fun to see this, thanks for sharing!
Panela… Break it in small amount. Form it to a small ball and pan fry til golden brown. It’s a side item. Queso fresco is a crumble cheese for tacos nachos tostadas etc.
Love that u posting again
I love your costco trips Benji.
I think it’s both. Also, more people are embracing their Asian heritage, and with the spread of K-pop, and awareness of other Asian cultures, more people are curious and want to learn about different cultures, which is great!
Yes, I live in Rancho Cordova, CA (suburb of Sacramento) & our local warehouse carries some Asian items (varying during seasons), but the S Sac warehouse which has a greater local Asian population has a lot more Asian items.
I live in Southern California, and the ice cream truck brings back memories especially the air heads and the Lucas lol
Im in the bay area where we have a massive Asian population, especially in Vallejo and Daly City. They have a ton of Asian foods at our Costco
Yes they are more Asian food here in bay area too I think the reason is where ever Costco get better deal they get love ur channel
Nutella get dry and hard if you don’t use it within a certain time after opening it
Bachan's sauce is great! We sometimes use it as a dipping sauce (add some chili's too) for at home KBBQ or a quick stir fried veggies or even any kind of quick fried rice! Tastes like a sweet teriyaki soy sauce. Great video!
Yum
Thanks for bringing me to business Costco. Great content as always 😂
I just saw a clip of pineapple cakes!!! They looked really yummy I nice little snack with coffee or tea
"you wanna bust out hella guac hella fast" totally got me lol'ed ! 😆
Thankyou for sharing 👍🤗
I saw the appliances and i used to make custom cabinets and some of those appliances are being place in homes itd crazy they need something so huge lol but to each their own
Oh I missed Leah in this video so much ❤❤❤
love your videos, Benji!
Hi benjoe I love your contents . Your touring us at all grocery stores . I kiss the farmers market
Hear ye! Hear ye! All hail the king of Costco shopper, Sir Benji!
Wish we had Business Costco here in Hawaii! Costco is my go-to shop for everything (that included the photo dept, sadly it folded!) since food prices are so expensive here in Hawaii!
I work at a cafe and can confirm Nutella goes bad :- )
Wow, going here to get things would be great if you need to cook for a large amount of people. The pre sliced things could be really handy so you can just go straight to cooking.
Hey just to let you know, I recently found out the mystery flavor isn’t actually a random flavor picked out from the bunch of airheads. The mystery flavor is actually its own unique flavor!!!!
Costco Business Centers also don't carry some items regular Costcos carry. So it goes both ways. No books, electronics like TV's and no clothing.
The Business Centers are very much aimed at restaurants and small business.
Not so much families or the general public.
Topochico has tons of micro plastics and chemicals … please avoid ❤
You should get the maraschino cherries with the stems and lots of sprite or other lemon lime soda than you could use the cherry syrup to make Shirley Temples or use coke or Pepsi and make Roy Rogers for the girls.
That yum yum sauce from walmart holds pressure so if you shake it up , its like a soda can basically, thats after a week after opening, its hard to clean it up everywhere lol
In Ontario there are more Indian foods and spices available in a lot of the grocery stores and more variety of rice too.
This was really interesting, Thanks for taking us all along Benji! Not gonna lie, when you showed the lamb, I paused the video to see if the lamb was from New Zealand and it was 😄 There's a running joke here (and maybe with the Aussie's 😅) that there's more sheep in NZ than people....but I dunno about that 😆😅
I bet. Lots of beautiful land there.
It’s definitely based on region with the Asian snacks. I’m in Idaho and we only get a few Asian snacks at my costco
Oaxaca cheese is the best for quesadillas as well!
Interesting that the first ingredient on the fruit strips is concentrated apple puree, which is fructose, just sugar by another name but fructose goes directly to the liver to be processed.
Honestly, I go here to stock up for Halloween. I don’t do “fun size” I do FULL SIZE.
Benji, you have to try the lemon - S. Pellegrino! Ice cold, so gooood!! I bet Judy would like it! 😉
I liked banchan sauce, I use it to marinade my meat for yakiniku nights 🤤 you can just use the sauce for dipping too or mix with fried rice
As someone who’s from Hawaii, who shops at Costco. We have a mix of cultures on our island. Majority of us are Mix-Plates (Hawaiian, Samoan, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Caucasian, African American etc…) so I’d say majority of our Snacks at Costcos here more align with Asian Snacks since we mostly have asians here and tbh I think Asian snacks have more taste.
Benji your content is always so great and done well. Thank you
You should def try the pomegranate spellegrino! Its so good!!
great video
Here in the East coast there isn’t as many Asian snacks. There’s more hispanic/latino type foods bc that’s our demographic here in my city specifically
I grew up with Lucas and tamarind aka (tamarindo) here in San Antonio TX. I used to have a duck in a small yellow shaker❤ When the girls have Hot Cheetos, add lime juice! BOMB!!!🎉
Wow! Never knew there was an actual Costco just for businesses.
4:23 I live in Florida and our Costco doesn’t have as many Asian options compared to the west coast like California. A lot of videos I see of certain Asian products available at Costco are filmed in California. There’s a larger Asian community on the west coast vs east coast…. At least in Florida.
Thank you. It would be helpful if you disclosed the location of the places you are showing. Not just "America" or "Japan" but enough info so we could go there if we wanted. Also please show the prices. What is fake with the Kewpie?
Did they have flavored syrup, like for boba tea drinks?
Cute camera. What are you using please?
I feel like Asian snacks are popular now because the ethnicities little stores to get produce from are Latin and they sell some Asian products now
Whoa didn't even know they had a business one! I always thought costco was for business also. We have a resturaunt depot! Ill have to see if this exists here! Love how u shop benji yeah ill try that!❤🎉
Gotta check it out if your a business!!!
@@BenjiManTV wow these states have them only! .They're concentrated in 12 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nevada, Texas, Utah, and Washington.Jul 1, 2023 😯
When I go to Sam's Club (don't think we have any BJ or Costco or similiar such stores near me) to buy bulk, how half this vid was is what I want. Not just a bunch of variety packs. Or even a handful of bottles of the same thing wrapped together. Like that Soy, instead of a bucket I'd probably end up with a pack of regular bottles.
Interesting, as bulk buying IS the way to go.
ps. Welcome to Costco... I love you.
I live in Sacramento California and the Costco I live close to have tons of Asian food. Yes, there are a lot of Asians inside my Costco and a lot of Asians in the surrounding area.
Btw..those pineapple cakes from Tawaiin are delicious. I had a layover from Philippines to Taipei and tons of ppl were buying those Pineapple cakes. Ppl were buying multiple boxes. They couldn’t keep it on the shelf. 😊 I had to grab a box and try it out. My family and I enjoyed it.
Awesome video 😊
I was JUST talking to my husband about queso the other day and how someone who doesn’t know the language would think that queso is a cheese dip but when we hear queso we know it literally just means cheese 😂
The chili mangos are INSANELY GOOD
Yo benji, its about time do a cooking show with the kiddos at your backyard.
Because we LOVE asian snacks 😊
11:05 Get you a friend to teach you some basic Spanish! It’ll take you a long way in the US 🙌🏽
I think the prevalence of Asian snacks and candy at the Costco business center is because of all the Asian restaurants owned by Asians. They always have some sort of Asian snack usually an Asian candy at the checkout counter!!!
I’m from Maryland & our Costco has maybe a solid 3-4 Asian items but that includes noodles 😂
Soy sauce is a brewed salt product? How can it go bad it diminish in flavor?
I moved to Colorado from Vancouver,BC and we don’t have a lot of asian options at our Costco
I think it’s because there are lots of Asians. In Tulsa, Oklahoma they have a lot of Asian products in Costco. Same with Austin, Texas.
I’m from WA, boney lake Costco has way less Asian stuff then federal way! I think it’s based on the population
Can someone explain why he says kewpie is fake? Curious
Benji whats the ice for?
There’s even more Asian foods at the Renton Costco!
I'm from Vancouver and Costco in Metro Vancouver is serving the Asians really well!
Wait what's the beef with Kewpie mayo?
Now i need to go to a business costco. Lol
Also, you can shop at GAMMA or Restaurant Depot, but you need a business license to shop those places
Well when it comes supply and demand, a Costco for business, just "let's get down to business."
Humm kombutcha is a great brand ❤
The flavored San pellogrino is delicious!
I’ll have to try one of these days
I love Asian snacks
