I’m fully convinced Ralph is Joe Pesci’s abandoned child now. Absolute dead ringer for him lmao
Duuude holy shit. Just hold a photo of young Joe Pesci up to this video.
My Cousin Ralphie
I'm convinced yms is Kevin Spacey's abandoned child 😅
He's lmao how, lmao like he's a clown? Does Ralph amuse you?
@@lainers175 I don't know; he's too old to be his son if she's 13 when he's born .
Thank god I can now start watching movies that came out last year
i hope youre fine and well ralph
These year roundups are something I look forward to every year. Literally over half a decade. Love ya ralph
I can't believe Ralph wasn't a fan of the wonderful performance given by Charles Stiles in Don't Worry Darling.
Charles Stiles, mystery diners
Claim a pass here if you saw the previous upload before it got taken down.
I was just about to get to the worst movies section, blue bawled
Huh
Why was it taken down?
@@waterwaveybabyis this not the one from last year?
@@fr0mage it was more so privated I guess so he can fix an issue in the video
They got T(riangle)
I hope Steven Seagal is on the list
I love how your passion for cinema comes through so strongly. Makes you my favorite movie commentator
I hope you are doing well Ralph. I really love seeing you upload a video. Keep up the good work!
Triangle of Sadness has to be one of the best films I have seen a while. Sad to hear about the actress that died.
Oh damn, I never heard about that. That’s terrible.
commenting for analytics. good too see yah ralph keep it up :)
Michael McDonough is a killer. Love everything he's made.
I really hope Ralph makes more videos soon, I’ve loved his content for years!!!!!
I hate that _Halloween Ends_ sets up Corey to become the new Shape but they chickened out in the end and did the whole "evil dies tonight" thing again.
Always entertaining to see what movies you pick for these lists.
Love you, Ralph
Always happy when you upload, Merry Christmas 🎄
Welcome back ralph, thanks for un-privating
I honestly don't watch a lot of movies but I'm intrigued by a lot of your top 20. Will check these movies out.
Didn't expect to hear and see so much much Bowie in this 🤩 Great video!
It took me far, far too long to realize that this video was for 22 and not 23. Time is so fucked.
Very good refreshing 2022 films Ralph. You're getting better while kept away from taking a break from Sardonicast and your progress is very competent. Good list Ralph. 👍
Too bad no RRR or The Bad Guys because they're meant to be good or amazing films. Of Argentina, 1985 or Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.
Nice one! Have a good Christmas Ralph
Avatar 2 was legit painful to watch it physically hurt because of the terrible decision to randomly play with the framerate
Didnt notice anything
I noticed it but it didn't take me out bad enough to dislike the experience
only noticed it because i was on acid on my first watch, but i didn't notice it while watching in sobriety
Haven’t a clue what you are talking about, I watched it and it was fine.
Wasn’t random at all. I can’t believe anyone would dislike the framerate. It was the most groundbreaking thing I’ve seen since Avatar 1. I agree that it could’ve looked better with it high frame rate the whole time but Cameron said it looks better with them changing and I’m inclined to believe the man.
Happy Holidays boyo. It's always good to see you 🫡
Thanks and merry Christmas to you!
i quite like that this is a year late. reminds me of how good of a year we had in 2022 and how many films i saw before i went to university. watching this i was like "as if this came out in 2022"
2023 is better
Did you have to take this down and put it back up real quick? lol happy holidays Ralph :)
He liked the woman king...well as long as he realizes it was crazy slanted.
You clowns liked 300 shut the hell up
You are awful human beings
Merry Christmas, Ralph!
Love you Ralph!!!!! Merry Christmas to you bruh!
Sup Ralph, good to hear your audio is finally fixed! I think you made a mistake though and decided to upload your 2022 list about a year too late.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Thanks Ralph!
Happy holidays to you too bro
Happy holidays everyone!
this was a great vid- unrelated but id love to hear your opinions on the bear
my boy ralph, there’s a small mistake at 28:51 when u talk about Empire of Light. Love ur vids, merry christmas.
You should definitely check out the other two 2022 movies from the Pinocchio cinematic universe, as a long-time Pinocchio head I'm so glad these excellent films are finally getting the recognition they deserve. I only wish people focused less on Del Toro's personal vision and more on the overall story of the franchise.
You like little wooden boys eh?
the Deep Pinocchio Lore
Happy to see you are doing fine, cool video
Didn't take the time machine Ralph? Still a year behind
Half of the list contains my last years worst films lol
i think thats a good thing, everyone has their own story and everyone has their own unique reasons to like or dislike media based on what they have experienced or inspired them
It really depends on personal opinion. Your lists may change when you rewatch it in the future because you'll learn experiences depending on the mood when you watch it. Personally, I haven't watched most of these films but will definitely check most of them out; not Morbius though .
I like to compare his commentary on this list and on his 2016 list. He sounds so much more mature here. Love it 🙂
Ironically he's doing a much more poor job critiquing these movies. The list itself is reasonable, but had I not seen the films I would have no clue what's good or bad about them other than a surface level "it was cool".
@@michaelbozas that makes sense as the video covers a lot of movies so Ralph could have talked about maybe the Top 15 movies of the year and the Top 5 worse ones for the chuckles. That way we'll really get to know what makes these movies belong in their ranking; maybe spoilers are understandable as the movies were released a year ago.
@@jjhayaRalph used to talk about like 50 movies in one video and be specific abojt the critiques of
most of them
@@oldmajor4910 I forgot which video you're talking about although maybe some movies mentioned here were watched a long time ago or Ralph just forgot to take notes or something 😅.
@@michaelbozas are you clowns
TAR is a staight up masterpiece, Blanchette simply has the sauce
Tár was unbelievably boring
Jurassic World Dominion was easily the worst film I saw last year. At the time I was working as a disability care worker and one of my clients loves dinosaurs and wanted to go see it. Not even he enjoyed it.
Grown up Ralph just warms my heart
It's so satisfying watching the video turn from very positive thoughtful reviews to "FUCK THIS SHIT"
The Banahees of Inisherin is my favorite of 2022, I love it so much! Havent seen Tár yet, I'll have to check it out.
“I just wanna see some dinosaurs, can you do that for me ?” lmfao
tysm for this. happy holidays y’all
Thanks for doing this with no spoilers, too.
did i time travel again?
I'll have to see Vortex if only to see Dario Argento in a leading role. I had no idea he acted, especially in his old age.
Ur the best! Enjoyed this man
28:45 Weird how Empire of Light used the same poster as Ambulance.
Great list, I've made a New years resolution to watch more movies, and I'm going to check out a lot of these.
Terrible resolution.
PLEASE rip apart Exorcist Believer
Babylon is super underrated.
I agree.
I'll keep this list in mind when I time travel back to 2022
nice camera frame rate bozzo
I agree with Tár being at the top. I remember being blown away when I saw it at the theater. It’s still my favorite movie of 2022 and probably my second favorite movie of the 2020s so far (after Oppenheimer).
I love hearing what Ralph enjoyed about movies I fucking hated.
Yesssir a Ralph video, wheres my lotion
Why ralph looking like Dracula?
That’s been good a couple years already…
I also loved The Fablemans. I think it’s in Spielberg’s top 3.
Aspyberg is so overrated
I 300% agree with you on Elvis. Baz Lurman always makes these fun style over substance movies. I enjoy his Gatsby Film because while it's not a perfect adaptation of the book, it lives up to how extravagant I envisioned a roaring 20's gatby party in my head.
2022. The greatest year for horror movies. Ever.
Barbarian, Smile, The Menu, Nope, Prey, Mad God, Scream 6, Pearl, X, Fresh, Bodies Bodies Bodies
I had to take a double take on the year haha no worries Ralph
Tar is a fantastic film for anyone who loves music or plays an instrument. Perfectly encapsulates why we enjoy music and the dedication many performers have to endure.
Here we go again
The year was 2023, I'm sorry for pointing that out but y'all might've missed that
Tfw 2016 was 16 years ago
Morbius was released on April fools day because the film is a joke
Somehow, Ralphpatine returned.
every time ralph uploads
its like seeing norm in cheers
i cant explain why
“RALPH! :D”
Avatar doesn't have a white savior problem. Jake literally gives up being human and turns blue.
Dumb comment
@@croc2112 how?
@@douchemonkey44 think about it for two seconds
@@croc2112 I did. Still hold the same opinion. He is not a white savior because his "whiteness" has nothing to do with his identity seeing as he rejects being human altogether
This uploaded without sound.
Ralph what are your thoughts on Mystery Diners season 11
Ralph definitely has a ratatouille under that perm
The return of Ralph
Anyone else have no audio or is it just me?
27:18 The actual poster is really missed here
Saw Avatar the way of water in 4D and although I find that type of stuff very gimmicky it’s very much the definitive way to experience Avatar
Tár shot to my number 1 as soon as I saw it too…however I HATED The Fabelman’s one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen lol
very proud of my son ralph for uploading a video
Love you Ralph!
I’ll still never agree about Halloween Ends. But I also still love you, Ralphthefilmdirectorfella
Wait, should I definitely check it out?
This was a great video. I think you would really like 'An Cailín Ciúin' (The Quiet Girl), it was my favourite film of the year and a really beautiful, uplifting and heart-breaking depiction of childhood. The child actor is absolutely phenomenal, some of the best acting I've ever seen from a kid, and the fact that it was the director's debut film just makes the whole thing even more impressive
These were my top 10 of the year
1. An Cailín Ciúin
2. Bones and All
3. Tár
4. The Whale
5. Aftersun
6. Banshees of Inisherin
7. Bodies Bodies Bodies
8. Everything Everywhere All At Once
9. Babylon
10. The Batman
Im so glad you also liked prey, nobody got why I liked it but I genuinely enjoyed it
Damn Ralph you didn't have to give us coal for Christmas
You are 1 fucking year late.
I love you Ralph
love the artistic choice to have low refresh rate video, it's not an eye sore at all!
great video otherwise. :~)
I knew I couldn't be the only one concerned about Deadpool 3. Shawn Levy is the softest director in all of Hollywood.
Tar was phenomenal
Yes it was!!
God, I didn't realize the guy who did The Adam Project is doing the next Deadpool. That sucks. Though I'll admit, I liked some parts of The Adam Project. I thought it was cute enough for what it was, but definitely more for kids and pretty boring/cheesy overall.
Wasn't Woman King historically inaccurate? Empowerment n' stuff is good but rewriting history is just a yikes.
Yeah at first I thought he was trolling but I guess he's trying to break into the mainstream or something. Just a bunch of kangz propaganda.
I don’t know I’m not a historian
You clowns liked 300 shut the hell up
Elvis wasn’t over the top, it captured the impact that he had very well. He was one of the first celebrities ever so he was a huge deal during that time period and he was adored by women exactly how they portrayed it in the film. It captured his life very well
Banshees of Inashiran was great
There's an RIPD 2?! What the?!
They need to put a trigger warning on Pinocchio. It absolutely obliterated us. If you had a recent death be careful.
Ralph you look sick bruh, fr fr no cap ong
All watched is RTMM videos from 6 to 9 years ago, so I was definitely shocked to hear his voice now. Don’t know why I couldn’t piece together that it would sound different
