  • Adult Dragon (R.Martin)
    Hook: TMC 5263 o similar
    Thread: UNI 8/0 o UTC 70
    Head: closed cell foam and lastic bead chain eyes.
    abdomen: closed cell foam and plastic seet (plastic soda bootle) torax: Hareline Senyo dubbing
    legs: terrestrial legs o plastic bristles
    Wing: 4 rooster neck feathers, grizzly o variant
    back: closed cell foam.
    Dragonflies or adult dragonflies are an obsession for many anglers fishing environments where hatchings of these insects are really abundant and can witness what this generates in fish ... often mere imitations, low realism, are enough to deceive a couple of trout if we succeed with the size and color. However it is sometimes necessary to achieve realism in imitation for trout decide to take our fly, as I always say, realism, if not sacrifice any vital aspect of our imitation is never an aspect that remains ... always sum. This model has spent years fooling trout during the hot months in the beautiful lakes in the north where you can do a fantastic fishing on the coasts with large reedbeds Patagonia.

    What a great fly! Hablo muy poco español y no muy bueno. La longitud del cuerpo parece ser la longitud del anzuelo. Si? ¿De qué ancho cortas la espuma? 6mm? 7mm? 8mm?

    • @rubenmartinflies
      @rubenmartinflies  Před 2 lety

      Hi buddy, the length of the body depends on the size of the fly you try to imitate, the foam used is 3mm

    What material is the legs? Awesome fly creations that make, I’ve just started getting into fly creating and just have a basic non rotary vice and a whip for knots tying and a few flashes and stuffs but fish shops here doesn’t really have a big line of stuffs for fly making. I’m in Hawaii and we have some of those exact insect that you’re creating.

    Very nicely done! Have you tried to fish with it? My biggest problem with ties like this is they tend to spin the leader.

    • @rubenmartinflies
      @rubenmartinflies  Před 7 lety

      Thanks Steve, yes i fish with this imitation from many years ago, all big terrestrial flies tend to spin the leader, so are flies that i dont cast too long, the feather wings are soft so they will work better with the wind than a bucktail wings. Kind regards buddy. Ruben

    EXTRAORDINARIO TRABAJO AMIGO, MAGNIFICO, TE PREGUNTO HMNO, ESE TIPO DE SEÑUELO NO LE PONES NAAADAAAAA DE PESO??QUE TAN LEJOS PUEDE LLEGAR AL MOMENTO DEL LANZAMIENTO, ??, ES SOLAMENTE EN AGUAS , LAGUNAS Y RIOS, EN EL MAR FUNCIONA TAMBIEN ??

    • @rubenmartinflies
      @rubenmartinflies  Před 7 lety

      Hola Joe, son señuelos para la pesca con mosca, por eso no llevan peso algunas moscas, esta mosca es para que flote en la superficie, si le agregamos peso se hundiria y no serviria. Abrazo!

      Hi James, in Patagonia Argentina we have wild big trouts in our lakes and sometimes they get very selectives and if you dont have a very good imitation of a dragonfly you look all day long how trouts reject your fliy. Best regards my friend!
