13 pro is better than the 14 pro, I upgraded to 14 and my husband kept his 13, his photos are better. We will stand side by side taking pictures with the same photos settings and his are better

Not worth upgrading I'd say. Prolly a better idea to buy a refurbished iPhone 13 Pro if you're planning to upgrade from the XS or 11 Pro.
I have a basic iPhone 13 and was considering upgrading since I will be vlogging with my iPhone. If you were me, would you upgrade to the 13pro or 14pro or should I just wait until the 15 comes out?
Waiting should be the best decision, normal 13 is still good.

I think the 14 pro series is good for someone coming from an 11 and older iPhone but I have the 13 Pro Max and spending over $500 with trade in just to upgrade to this isn’t really worth it. I think I’m going to wait for the 15 😏👌

Nice comparison. Personally I'd like to see some comparisons with older phones such as an iPhone 11 Pro since that seems to be a more likely upgrade for most people and so you'd be more able to see the improvements you get.

I'm curious why you never mentioned the much bluer sky and more saturated colorful images on the 13 Pro, on almost all of your comparison images. On the 14 the sky looks hazy, while on the 13 it looks richer blue. I'm think I'm detecting technology bias at work here.
Isn't this a con? To me those rich blue skies are big drawbacks on iphone photos. Looks so artificial.

The worst thing is to put high density of pixels on a small size sensor. Have you ever wonder why pro DSLRs have giant full frame sensor and 12-18 mpx on it? High density of pixels is just marketing, nothing else.
I upgraded from the XR to the 14pro. Big upgrade for me.

No but many people upgrading from older phones will be deciding between those two and weighing up the price difference vs improvements
@@steve8510I thought apple stopped selling the 13pro. As soon as the 14pro became available. They always do that with the pro line. You still might find the pro 13 at retailers but they will not last long.
@@steve8510 unless a couple hundred bucks is an issue; it’s definitely the 14 Pro, the satcom tech alone is worth the difference
@@superiortoall22 that’s a subscription service, so unless you wonder the outback regularly by yourself I don’t see this being a big perk.
@@sloppynyuszi well it’s free for two years which is pretty phenomenal and since COVID, there has been a massive spike in hiking (it’s actually one of the biggest recreation activities in the US rn) and in a result a lot more mishaps, so it gives people a little bit more confidence. Plus it’s one step closer to voice over Satcom.
You show the image stabilization of the 14 side by side with video of the 13 without image stabilization even turned on? What a mistake…. Only spec I’m researching and you don’t even turn it on, how is that a comparison?

To be fair that’s pretty much all phones. All leaks suggest the Pixel 7 will be a minor improvement. The Galaxy S21 and 22 were the same phone with a chip upgrade. Even the fold and flip 4 was a minor incremental improvement this year. To be fair any flagship phone based on specs could do pretty much everything you need from 5 years ago to now, it’s really just software artificially making it obsolete. And in that case Android is worse.
Yeah from someone upgrading yearly, you should have known this that there is really some difference from my opinion I upgraded from my 14 pro max to my 14 pro.

I made 5 hours worth of video on Emirates business class and Maldives.
Next vacation is to Bora Bora on Air Tahiti Nui Business Class.
I will wait till 2TB is an option before I upgrade again.
Comparing 13 to 14 is dumb comparison. Progression is slow in the camera dpt - on purpose - so you need to pick older phones.
